Overrun · 14/02/2008 16:29

That sounds tasty MommaFeelgood. I must get off Mn, and start doing things, god this is another reason why I stopped posting so much

pop · 14/02/2008 17:33

Hi - I feel like I am intruding slightly as you all seem very friendly on this thread. Posted a message months ago re feeling isolated and one of you kindly suggested I come over onto this thread. You all seem very witty - not sure I am up to your standard! Just feel constantly isolated at the moment with 'twinny' issues - feel like noone understands and there is noone to talk to. Do you all feel like this too?

Overrun · 14/02/2008 17:39

Pop, I dip in an out of this thread for various reasons, but let me tell you they are a really friendly bunch and very supportive.
And yes, we certainly all have twinny issues, god me more than most I find it quite hard at times.
How old are your dts?

frumpygrumpy · 14/02/2008 17:47

Pop, YES! Thats why we congregate here and drink support each other. Sometimes having twins feels like you have a giant growth sticking out of your bum. Then other people say "oh jeez" then do that Star Trek thing where they just get beamed away. After pretending they understand.

We are not witty we are hysterical in the hysteria sense of the word

We are friendly and that does not exclude you my dear! On the whole, not many of us have met.

Stay with us, we do a lot of chatting but just keep jumping in and we'll be there x.

Overrun, no fancy meals here. I'm trying to persuade DP to heat me up the spag bol later that he cooked for the kids tea, smells good, and trying to persuade him to open some champagne with it Its like I'm asking him to

galaxymummy · 14/02/2008 17:54

Dear FG,
I was hoping for romantic meal but got 3 clematis instead, which is nice, just as well since cold is now disgusting and I have no sense of smell or taste. Hope other mn get romantic meals and dt go to sleep

frumpygrumpy · 14/02/2008 17:55

......its like asking him to pull out his eyelashes one by one He says he made the spag for the kids for the freezer and that he'd have to make another lot for the freezer. Um, yes.

frumpygrumpy · 14/02/2008 17:56

Its maybe less contrived if I just expect him to get pizza tomorrow night and watch Mistresses with me.

Galaxy, here's some Olbas for your cold. Nice nose btw

MarsLady · 14/02/2008 17:58

Ah Pop! You came. Welcome!

Witty will come my dear. Witty will come (or Shabby will drop her drawers and Frumpy with swing her norks).

frumpygrumpy · 14/02/2008 18:05

take cover everyone! I can't stop once I get started!

galaxymummy · 14/02/2008 18:07

fg
What is mistresses??
ps I love mangoes

frumpygrumpy · 14/02/2008 18:09

Seriously pop, its swings and roundabouts for me. Some days having twins is the best thing in the world - the moments other people miss out on like having two coming running for your neck shouting mama at the same time, or when they are taking care of each other and it melts your heart. Some days the opposite and especially when people don't really understand where you are coming from. We do it all on here. Spill the beans ..........

frumpygrumpy · 14/02/2008 18:10

The last episode of Mistresses is on tomorrow night, can't remember which channel, usually around 9pm. Its about a bunch of women all doing different things in their lives. All linked by wine, drama and dodgy personal lives. Just like here really.

MarsLady · 14/02/2008 18:13

I've seen it! So there!

iamdingdong · 14/02/2008 18:14

fg the last episode of mistresses was on tues night here, I love it, but wish I was even half that glam

iamdingdong · 14/02/2008 18:17

snap mars

dh has a think about mangoes 'juicy juicy mangoes' I don't think he's on about fruit

frumpygrumpy · 14/02/2008 18:19

Must be too dangerous to let the whole nation watch on the same night.

frumpygrumpy · 14/02/2008 18:21

my boobs are mango sized but flabbier and equally misshapen. I'd prefer fried eggs and skinny legs. I like men with big thighs. I have big thighs. And my name is Steve No, I have not had a drink.

shabster · 14/02/2008 18:21

Hiya pop - I am also an intruder on here - I should be on a thread for the mentally ill.

My twin DS terrified me when they were born - I had no idea what I was doing at all - all my nether regions hurt, I had milk sprouting bossoms etc etc.

Dont worry they are on the far edge of crazy on here - enjoy - whatever any of them say about me - especially Marslady - check with me first for the real story.

I will be back later with my apple juice - five fruits a day - you know its important!!!

iamdingdong · 14/02/2008 18:21

yeah, especially you lot up there in the frozen wastelands

I've just got disc 6 of desperate housewives season 3 from the dvd rental place, so that'll keep me happy tonight, even though they get thinner every week

frumpygrumpy · 14/02/2008 18:22

I'm tesco shopping so obviously not here, not one bit. The children are not screaming and shouting as they 'play' and DP is not yelling "we don't need celery" up the stairs.

shabster · 14/02/2008 18:23

STEVE - my old mucker how the devil are you?

frumpygrumpy · 14/02/2008 18:24

And DD1 did not just come in and say "I thought I needed a pop but it was actually a poo and I got a bit on my pants but its ok I wiped it off I'll show you look ....."

I love my children.

frumpygrumpy · 14/02/2008 18:24

The other day she told me she might make a valentine card for a boy in her class "because he can burp the alphabet".

I live and learn. Gems.

shabster · 14/02/2008 18:26

imadingdong - you talking to me! Cheeky bugger - frozen wastelands.

Up here in Bolton - we now have running water, electricity and we have been allowed to take the black out curtains down - now that the war has ended.

PS The water is on mon, wed and friday and electric tue, thur and all weekend. So ner ner ner ner ner

Southern jessies

frumpygrumpy · 14/02/2008 18:27

I'm ok Shabster, did some hairy handed trucking today and ate Yorkie wearing a denim shirt. Tis a life. And now I must order food.
