Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Hi Merly, glad all is well with you! Are you getting nervous / excited now? I am half terrified and half CANT WAIT to see the little blighters.

On the Feb thread we have been putting our lists on as to what to take, so pop back and take a look.

What do yours weigh now? Mine at 31 weeks (am 33 weeks now) were 3lb 6 and 4lb 1. My belly is growing rapidly now.

MERLYPUSSEDASAFART · 18/12/2007 15:37

t1 = 4lb 3oz
t2 = 3lb 9oz
5th feb will be 38 weeks for a section.

I AM excited and kakking it too. Put a small list together today and packed a changing bag with baby bits. It's just that with twins and having a c-sect I don't know how long I will be in for so quantity is difficult to guess.
I have said 6 vests & 4 baby grows to start and then pack a further bag and leave it in the car with extra night wear for me, nappies and baby bits.

Egg · 18/12/2007 15:43

I never thought I would get to 38 weeks or further, but now feel like I might still be going at 40 weeks... Of course I want them to be as strong and mature as poss, but I AM SO FED UP OF FEELING SHITE. Babies are similar weight to mine but a bit FATTER heheee.

Am hoping for 12 Jan delivery! That's 37 weeks for me, and a Saturday, so DH will be around and not be 2 hours away at work!

ChopsterRoastingOnAnOpenFire · 18/12/2007 15:47

ooh this is exciting. Great to hear you are both doing well.

I think I was in for two nights with my section, I might be wrong. I think what you have said is fine, and I'd just say to leave stuff handy at home so that your OH knows where to find extras if you need them. I packed a min, and dp brought stuff in and took stuff home as needed.

Egg · 18/12/2007 15:58

My friend was in for a week after her section, although she was officially discharged after 3 or 4 nights, but the babies needed to stay in for a week (born at 37 weeks but had trouble feeding), and she was allowed to stay with them (she had no older kids at home so easier for her).

God time is running out, my free day without DS has turned into an MN filled day and hardly anything has been done.

I have run 2 loads of washing and hung it up.
Run dishwasher and emptied. Then run cleaner through it too (mmm smells lovely now).
Wrapped few more pressies, nothing left to wrap.
Unpacked the world's biggest Tesco order, it took 40 mins .
Spent 5 hours on MN .

ChopsterRoastingOnAnOpenFire · 18/12/2007 16:00

I was begging them to let me out! I was desperate for sleep and food.

Hi!!

before I cry I'll just let you know that T.A.T hasn't popped yet,her internet has been down!! Grrrrrr.....I was all excited and everything

Just had a phone call from the publishers who I was in disscussions with about the book and they've decided not to go ahead. They have messed me around for ages now and then decide to tell me just before Xmas the swines!!!!
So its back to the endless slog of touting it around again (which I had put on hold). Pants,pants pants!!!!!

FrumpytheGrumpyreindeer · 18/12/2007 18:21

Em, thats rubbish. Its meant. It must mean something better is round the corner.

HM, , I only check that address when I'm expecting something. Will check when I get private time.......promise x.

MarsyChristmas · 18/12/2007 18:59

Merly... do you want me to email you the hospital bag list I give all my clients?

HM... what can we do? Don't you dare keep your misery to yourself. It's why we are here you daft mare!

Right.. gotta go. Ladies dropping babies like it's going out of fashion.

inamerrymuckingfuddle · 18/12/2007 20:04

oh HM don't be down, not on your own anyway! I have been lurking and not posting much, I am not enjoying my life much at the mo either. I will be around first week in Jan before schools go back, do you want to try a meet up? Text me or email me

inamerrymuckingfuddle · 18/12/2007 20:06

even though I've been lurking I seem to have missed loads on here - a book Em!

FrumpytheGrumpyreindeer · 18/12/2007 20:14

HM won't leave us. Its Christmas. Its not in the spirit of Christmas to leave your friends.......not when we need you here as much as we love having you......

We just had carol singers in our road. They were just magnificent. A couple of neighbours went out to join them, we sang from our drawbridge door and some other people joined with babes in buggies. Its frosty white here and it looked just so magical. Felt quite emotional.

FrumpytheGrumpyreindeer · 18/12/2007 20:14

Yeah, a book! I think its porn a children's book but I think we need details.

Egg · 18/12/2007 20:19

Erm did we guess FG's identity yet? Did anyone try Nancy Sorrell (Mrs Vic Reeves), they had twins. How old are FG's again???

Em - a book!?!?! Wow. Bastards for letting you down at Christmas, but you will get a better deal out there from someone else, and soon you will be up there with JK Rowling counting your millions (don't forget your friends over here...).

estarofbethlehem · 18/12/2007 20:23

I think I missed that too! You were on the verge of being published ? What's your book about? Fiction or true-life? I'm soooooo - my life's ambition is to be a writer but I'm too lazy undisciplined busy to finish anyhing.

I have a poorly baby . He has another cold and it's really stuffing him up. DH has got it and I can feel it approaching too. I'm thinking that's a good thing tho - will I pass on extra antibodies to him if my system's fighting it? Also drinking lots of hot apple with honey in it. In the meantime my boobs are aching because he's hardly feeding - owwww!

TripleyXmasTippleTigger · 18/12/2007 20:27

Blimey!! i think FG lives in an Enid Blyton book!!

Ask her if there was lashings and lashings of lemonade too, I'm scared

Yes it is a children's book. I thought whilst I am talking the talk I might as well write it too!!
Don't worry you are all safe.....unless FG does infact turn out to be.........OH MY GOD SHE IS!!!!!

F= Famous
G= George

Shes a grown up george from the famous five!!! There were lashings and lashings of lemonade after all!!!!!

inamerrymuckingfuddle · 18/12/2007 20:27

we jsut had a brass band playing carols outside, brought a tear to my eye too FG, I am turning into a big softie

Estar, you poor thing, hope you are all well again for Christmas.

Isawthreetripscomesailingby · 18/12/2007 23:13
