FG are you going to see The Snowman this year? I was on the Snowman site earlier printing out some pics for the DCs to colour in and was thinking of you. Even DH was teary eyed at how DS1 is convinced the tree is magic.

TripEm, I'm so sad they'll be missing the nativity. Is there no way to dose them up and send them anyway? My DH is also usually a bahumbug at xmas (I blame his parents). I told him all I want this year is for him to catch the excitement I have.

inamerrymuckingfuddle · 17/12/2007 19:20

pixi we're going to see the snowman this year, this Sunday. I'm really looking forward to it, yet dreading it at the same time, I was getting teary just watching the DTs' faces at the panto

TripleyXmasTippleTigger · 17/12/2007 21:41

yep i'm afraid the play is off for them and my sil I made them such lovely costumes. They were three beautiful little Indians

Thing is there are two shows one at 2pm(1 hour) and then another at 6pm. So its two trips up and back in the cold(I don't drive) a late night as they are in bed at 6.30pm (as they get so tired from school) and I honestly don't think they would hack it or enjoy it with a school day as well, although they really want to go.
Little B has been sleeping most of the day and little P is still up coughing now.

Hopefully i can get them there for the party.

Bloody cheeky school made me buy three lots of food for the kids party as I have three kids. Everyone else had to bring just one item!! I had to get Grapes for six people, crisps for six people and chocplate biscuits for 6 people!!!
So my kids WILL be going and they WILL be stacking their plates as high as they blinkin well can!!! LOL

TripleyXmasTippleTigger · 17/12/2007 21:46

I did mean chocolate by the way

Pixi I have missed out so much on this thread, you are going to have to update me on how things have been going. I have another addy now which I can give out on here because my RL is not revealed, although I don't know why I worry because everyone knows it anyway!!!!

[email protected]

FG I couldn't tempt you to FB but what about MSN,or are you there already?

@ piximon.

I love getting notes too. I still have the one FG sent me last year, somewhere.

Last full day of school for ours today. Em, can't you jsut take them in for the early one - explain they really want to be in it. It seems such a shame after all that effort.

pmsl @ estar!

Morning Momma!!! Well it is Xmas after all!!!

Nah,Chops they have to spend the whole day at school and then go back again for the 6pm show.

B is downstairs now asleep,P is coughing like an old woman on 60 a day and M is glowing like Rodulphs nose

FG sorry!! I didn't answer your question, how very rude

Apart from the snots thing are going really well thank you. I am really looking forward to Xmas, although I am never really organised until the very last second!! . I love Xmas day when you step outside the door and it just feels different!! Everyone saying merry Xmas and the kids out in the street with their new toys.Love it!!!
Fingers crossed that it snows this year, the kids have never had a white Xmas before, well only a little drizzle of snow,so I want a 'grab your wellys and tea tray' xmas this year!!!

FrumpytheGrumpyreindeer · 18/12/2007 09:35

You kept my note! Kelly! I feel honoured! It would just be random warblings too, nothing eloquent or sentimental

Em, MSN........I told you, I just moved on rom typewriters and black and white telly.

TripleyXmasTippleTigger · 18/12/2007 09:43

LOL at FG

Is your phone dial or button my dear? Or are you sticking to good old fashioned smoke signals?!!!!!

We'll get you there one day kicking and screaming!!!

HarktheHarrogatemumissinging · 18/12/2007 09:47

Hey ladies - just wanted to wish you all a Merry CHristmas - dont think I will be on here much over the festive season, having a bit of a bad time at the moment and you all seem so happy that I thought I might just stay away until the New Year when things may have brightened up. NOte - this is not me looking for sympathy, just explaining.

Hope you and your families all have a wonderful wonderful Christmas xxx

FrumpytheGrumpyreindeer · 18/12/2007 10:25

HM

I don't always have happy times myself darling. [email protected] if you want to share.

FrumpytheGrumpyreindeer · 18/12/2007 10:26

Pixi, went to see The Snowman last Saturday. There is a short, a medium and a long version to my story. The show was magnificent . I was not .

Oh Momma, you'll wish you'd never said that. The short version is that I looked forward to it for 6 months and it was adorable. Kids were spellbound

The medium version is that, plus the fact that I was having a wobbly day and took it out on my DD1 and now have that memory of the day alongside my happy one

The long version will have to wait as little fingers are near and DP waiting to work on pc........

HarktheHarrogatemumissinging · 18/12/2007 10:46

Hey FG, I did email you the other day as I'd seen your email address on here and wanted to ask you about something else. Maybe I got a letter wrong or something. will check.

Egg · 18/12/2007 13:01

Oh HM sorry you are having a bad time. Esp at Christmas. Can we do anything to help? I think we have helped to get Pixi back on track and feeling a bit more positive... We are a nice bunch .

Sorry to hear of more sick DCs. DS is (touch wood) better again and actually slept solid last night. I dumped him at nursery for a full day today (he normally just does three mornings) so I could get lots done and have been on here for two hours .

T&T has been quiet for a few days [hopeful new babies emoticon]...

MERLYPUSSEDASAFART · 18/12/2007 14:43

Just checking in to reassure you that I am still here. Had a scan yesterday, 31 wks, both twinies are well and fatty twin has put on 1lb in a fortnight. I have a pre-lim date booked for 5th Feb if I last that long. Have the remains of a cough that sends the twinies into a mexican wave everytime it strikes. OH is worried and has made me pack my bag as I always put things off and wing it whereas he is the organised type. Will be posting elsewhere for suggestions of what to take.
