You girls are all amazing and wonderful and tooooooooo kind. The tree really was more than enough, I really didn't expect anything else.
The tree is up and looking beautiful. It arrived in pink wrapping tape looking a bit like a body! and caused all sorts of speculation, although address label was a bit of a give away. I held out till DH got home so he could carry it upstairs, (after climbing onto the freezer in the garage to reach the stand).
When the DCs came down in the morning there was a tree in the living room, we all denied knowledge of where it came from so DS1 decided father Xmas brought it as "I asked him please can you bring me a tree". The next morning when they came down it had lights/decs on. DS1 has been going around telling everyone about his magic tree.
FG (I'm guessing by the postcode) and Momma thank you also for the presents, you really, really didn't need to. I am a bit and very .
It's crazy here, DCs still going through every bug known to childhood and I wonder when I can go out again or at least wander around the house with clothes not covered in snot/puke. Older DCs last day at nursery tomorrow and then I'm going to batten down the hatches and spray everyone with germ killer before letting them in to try and shift these colds. My brother is back in hospital, his back has gone again (arthritis) so again with the back brace and trying to get his pain under control and my mum has come down with the flu.
On DHs job front his previous company have offered him a 6mth contract starting end Jan. Means he would have 15min journey from here so would save a fortune on travel and get about the same if not more money. I've told him to take the job, save like mad and clear off all debts and he can move down to be with us in the summer. It's not ideal but seems like a good solution to the problems we're having.
Ok time off was too good to be true and DT1 needs me again. I'll be back when I get another free 5 mins. No time to proof read so hope I've made sense.
And thank you, thank you, thank you.
