lol

I do live life slowly really. Fully! I'll admit, but definitely slowly! lol Of course it depends on your definition!

I live it most slowly in St Lucia! Then I barely move at all!

ooh well done mars! what you studying next year?

I can only afford to do one next year (Law courses are £1800 so I'm hopefully going to do a spanish course in the evening too.

I am sooo tired. I am not sleeping properly at all. Might have to break out the herbal pills tonight.

MarsyChristmas · 13/12/2007 08:15

I've started next year's course already. They moved the literature start dates so I've had to postpone 19th Century Literature which started the day after I finished 20th Century Literature. I'm doing A215 Creative Writing instead. It's still 60 points but level 2 (which might be nice for my brain).

Hope you all have a good day today (did you still need to find me Chops?)

ChopsterRoastingOnAnOpenFire · 13/12/2007 08:16

I got your email, have replied. I did think about texting, but I thought you might be busy with your ladies.

ChopsterRoastingOnAnOpenFire · 13/12/2007 08:17

I wish they would change the law dates _ I haven't studied for a year now. It's gonna be hard to get back into it!

doublekissesdoublexmaswishes · 13/12/2007 09:16

Morning all,
Thanks for the advice FG. I have got a tube of metanium somewhere that scbu gave me to take home. Couldn't find it so I tried a little bit of bepanthen instead which seems to have helped a lot. She had lots of nappy off time yesterday... we only had 1 accident and she was absolutely devastated! crying/ hands on head/ oh oh oh sort of thing. If she wasn't so upset it would have been hysterical!!

Congrats on passing your courses Mars

MarsyChristmas · 13/12/2007 09:17

Start your reading now babe! Best way. Start with something gentle so that after Christmas you're ready to ready the heavier stuff!

I'm about to start reading the huge tomes I have to do next year (starting with Dombey & Son). It'll take me the year to read them through once (if I really get on with it) so that I only need to skim and read certain chapters next year. Ah the joys of a literature course

MarsyChristmas · 13/12/2007 09:20

Double... try not to use wipes. Wash her bottom every time and then put the barrier cream on. Hopefully it will go soon. It might be related to the teething. Poor baby

ChopsterRoastingOnAnOpenFire · 13/12/2007 09:41

oh rather you than me! I don't mind a bit of Shakey, but I am def not a dickens fan. I'm gonna be doing the course that I did the year everything went haywire and I didn't do the exam, so I should already know it all, but I seem to have a brain like a sieve these days. Babies def kill off brain cells!

MarsyChristmas · 13/12/2007 09:44

I like Dickens. Once you get into his books are realise he's talking about the social order etc his books become more understandable iyswim.

Anyhoo... need to pop out and meet a potential client.

ChopsterRoastingOnAnOpenFire · 13/12/2007 09:49

good luck

gruesomefoursome · 13/12/2007 10:36

hey fellow nutters i mean ladies i must need my head seeing to, i have just been out and bought an 11 week old puppy, what was i thinking?????

FrostytheSnowNorris · 13/12/2007 10:42

Phew! Got 5 mins to myself at last. This week has been manic and its's not over yet.
Dd1 had panto rehearsals Monday eve, the 3 eldest go dancing on Tuesday, last night was the dt's first Christingle concert, they're doing it again this afternoon and then I have to take dd1 back to the church this evening for her school concert! (although I'd prefer [fgin])

The twins are dressed as angels and they look very cute (but I know different ). M stood on the middle of the stage last night and pulled her dress up-thank goodness I'd thought ahead & put tights on them!

(Mars, have you got any pics from the meet-up? Nobody seems to want to send them to me or Whoops )

ChopsterRoastingOnAnOpenFire · 13/12/2007 12:38

aww, what breed is the puppy?

Yes, you are nuts. I grew up with dogs, but I wouldn't contemplate keeping one with the kids.

gruesome, you are good, I still haven't managed to get to see ds1's play!

ChopsterRoastingOnAnOpenFire · 13/12/2007 12:42

sorry I meant norris

estarofbethlehem · 13/12/2007 14:28

gruesome, I'm sorry but you do need your head seeing to. DH keeps threatening to get a puppy, saying 'It'll be fine - it can sit next to me in the van and ride out to work with me everyday'. Yes darling, because that's what puppies love to do - sit still in a small enclosed space all day.....

Trouble is, he works on farms so I'm sure he'll just see some for sale one day and bring it home as a 'surprise' for the children.

Did I tell you guys that I finally got on the waiting list for dt2's speech therapy? The waiting time? 43 weeks He'll be at school by then, for crying out loud!

Although I do like the fact I just had to type 'fangry'. Ha ha

piximon · 13/12/2007 14:30

Ahhh DS1 was like a little angel today. He got picked from his class to light an advent candle and sang ever so well. I was so proud of him.

Vicar was a revelation, he went off and came back dressed as Santa (in a red shell suit), he then tried to explain about the best present of all, (Jesus), however all the children now think they are getting a doll in their stockings this year.

I then got home and the doorbell rang, answered the door to find a delivery man. THANK YOU so much girls. A wonderful, wonderful, xmas tree and decorations as well. I'm speechless and over the moon. Really.

TripleyXmasTippleTigger · 13/12/2007 14:35

estar that is an outrageous time to wait (you're right that is fun!!)

Little M was in within a week because of her stammer, which has now gone, but they say the best thing is to act on it straight away, not blinkin 42 weeks!!!!

Gruesome I have a puppy too!!! Well, shes 10mnths now. Great for killing time on a boring day,she knackers the kids out and the kids knacker her out!!!! She is a big old softie and lets the kids do anything to her and shes also good for when I am stressed I can take her on a nice long walk and unwind!!
