YAY Pixi! Our clever plan worked - mwah ha ha ha ha Hope it fits your criteria. Happy Christmas babe.

estarofbethlehem · 13/12/2007 14:53

I spoke to a lady on the phone today who will send me some worksheets and stuff I can try at home with him, and she's also sending me a list of private speech therapists in the area, but I highly doubt we'll be able to afford it . There's no way he can go to school in September unless there's a massive improvement, so it's down to me to try and work out what to do.

TripleyXmasTippleTigger · 13/12/2007 15:00

The work sheets they have are very good Estar and to be honest, most of the work that was done with M was at home anyway. Her sessions involved lots of play and monitered her progress, but we had to do the main stuff with her every night. So try not to worry about only having the worksheets at the moment, they are a help.
Also make a pain of yourself to the centre and keep ringing them expressing your concerns. Could your nursery arrange something? A speech thearapist used to come in and visit some of the children when M was at nursery.

Glad you've got a christmas tree pixi! Have a lovely christmas

Estar, that's a ridiculous time to wait!

Gruesome, I have a puppy too! He was 1 year this November. I was somewhat pressured into it, (nagging DH, DTs, PILs), and guilted into it as I've turned down every other animal on the planet... but the dog's great to have around and he's fab for the kids too!

I'm really really really fed up! Can't be much longer right?! Scan on Sunday which will hopefully be my last! I'll be 36 weeks by then so....

T&T, cross yer legs, tets have christmas dts.

@ piximon too.

MarsyChristmas · 13/12/2007 16:29

@ Pixi.

So... is it up yet? What do the kids think?

My tree is freezing it's needles off in the garden! DS1 is 15 on Saturday and so the tree doesn't go up before then (unless he requests it).

Met a lovely woman with a reflux baby today. So I'll be helping her out for a while.

Blooming freezing! The DTs spent most of the journey to school this morning falling over and most of the journey home complaining about their cold hands (wear the gloves then you daft gorgeous pair)

I feel completely behind in my Christmas preparations. The only thing that I know is done (other than the frozen tree) is the turkey. Confirmed that order back in November! Sigh... once I've done DS1's birthday it will all come together I'm sure. Gulp!

Estar I hope you manage with the sheets at home.

Good to see you Gruesome you certifiable loon look great!

Like you Momma... muggins here isn't going down the puppy/dog route!

ChopsterRoastingOnAnOpenFire · 13/12/2007 16:34

oh and estar, sorry to hear about the horrendous wait for speech hterapy. Why is he having it?
Are there any ohter routes you can try? ds1 got his first lot of speech therapy through sure start.
I really empathise, ds1 is still waiting for OT. I'm considering the private route, but we're looking at hundreds for it.

MarsyChristmas · 13/12/2007 16:35

Norris: email me on lovelymarslady at aol dot com and I'll forward what I've got!

ChopsterRoastingOnAnOpenFire · 13/12/2007 16:36

Oh and i think dt1 has been cured of his fear of santa now. He saw one in the shopping center today and was saying, 'look father christmas, go get present!'

Yes I've advised her. I also told her to cut out wheat, feed with the baby vertical and to hold her upright for 15mins.

Did I miss anything? lol

Is it up yet Pixi? Has your dh seen it? What did the dc say?

Or is it just horrible timing because it was the last thing on your mind and now you have yet another job to do.....

FrumpytheGrumpyreindeer · 13/12/2007 20:17

Triplets, you played the video because sometimes you need to cry about it. Its the most major thing in your life and that is how you are going to get through. By crying and by laughing. xxx

Just popping in to say hi, Dp's working late tonight so I have dinner doing for when he gets back and a pile of Ironing to do... I just can't seem to work out where it all comes from!!
Followed everyone's advice for Liv's nappy rash and it's almost gone! Just a day spent mostly without a nappy on, no wipes and a little bepanthen seemed to have helped no end.
I have dsd coming for dinner tomorrow so I'm using her as my guinnea pig for home made mince pies! They don't look great but still some practice time before xmas so hopefully they will improve! If I'm not back tomorrow you'll know they were worse than I thought!!

estarofbethlehem · 13/12/2007 22:48

Oh girls - one of those days today. Barely feel like I'm hanging on by my fingernails. Sick of tantrums, hyperactivity and sheer volume of noise. There is no escape at the moment (oh, how I miss college!). I looooove the baby bit, even when Levi is whingy and feeds all the time, he doesn't really feel like any bother compared to the others. I love them all so much but there is just no breathing space at the moment and it's so hard to try and react the way you know you're supposed to react 24/7. I ain't no wondermum, I can tell you.

Tell me - do you ever get to the point in parenting when you stop analysing everything you do and wondering if you're doing the right thing??

[knackered emoticon]

estarofbethlehem · 13/12/2007 22:51

Although on the plus side, when I went in for 46th time to tell them to quieten down, dt2 was wearing his brother's school shirt on his top half, a school shirt upside down on his bottom half, and a builder's helmet. I managed to keep a stern face but I was inwardly amused.

FrumpytheGrumpyreindeer · 13/12/2007 23:19

estar, I frequently feel the same.

When it all kicks off I try to listen if it is angry fighting, tears and tantrums or if they are 'only' tearing the house apart happily. I used to bellow for it all, I'm trying to learn to tune in and let the other stuff go. I don't know if you ever feel like its right. BUT, are they healthy?, clothed?, have friends?, do they laugh alone and with you? The very fact you are worrying tells you you are doing it very right. I can scream and shout and yell like a banshee and send to rooms. I can also roll about the floor with them. In my book, thats equal xxxxx
