estar.......there is only one word I can think of. Classic!!
pixi, that is crap!
Ooogs, yes, two sick babies is not fun. You just go from babe to babe with cuddles and medicine like Florence Nightingale. So, so hard and leaves you WHACKED.
Throck! I kept your seat
Double......nappy rash, right. It does sound like it. My DD1 took a really bad case of it when she was around 9months. She cut 4 front teeth at the same time
Does your DD also have an upset tummy?
It can get very bad, very quickly so my advice would be to work at it hard to prevent the skin breaking. Your DD needs something for the pain if its nasty, Calpol in the day and Medised if it disturbs her night. As much free nappy time as possible. And I swear by Metanium. You'll get it at the chemist or some supermarkets. Its thick and yellow like wet chalk. You put a tiny tiny bit on your finger, dot it all over the rash and pat with about 3 fingers to spread. You should end up with a bottom that looks like it has been dusted with yellow chalk. You don't apply it like a barrier cream. It needs to be thin.
When you bathe her, don't try to rub hard to clean it all off. It will stick on to any bits of skin that are broken or really rashy and protect them. Fresh metanium after every bath and after every poo (keep her bottom clean from poo so that if the skin does break, infection can't get in).
It could hurt when she first is lowered into the bath but once she's in it might soothe it a little.
Migraines.....my DP used to suffer bad ones. He would lose vision, vomit, writhe about in bed in agony feeling like his head was being squashed. He/we worked out that no particular food or drink did it to him but that 3 regular meals (we never ate breakfast pre-children), lots of water and regular sleep made a huge difference. When he was working on a deal he sometimes had to work right through for a couple of days at a time in a pressured environment. Following that he would sometimes take what they call "weekend migraines" where one hits just as the pressure comes off. He took a bad one the day after I had the DTs Now, we seem to be able to control them by meals, sleep and water. He still eats chocolate, cheese, wine etc. But I also think they vary enormously from person to person. Have you seen a doctor? DP takes Migraleve when its mild but has a single prescribed tablet to take if a bad one hits. It really lessens the effect of the migraine if he can get that into his system before it hits meltdown.
Dr Frumpy signing off
I had the DTs christmas nativity today. It was adorable!! Shame that nursery put them at opposite sides of the room though and DT2 round a bend so I could only (discreetly) film DT1 I kept craning my neck to glimpse DT2 but I felt I was pissing everyone off. Wanted to get up and say "I've got TWINS FFS".
Then I rushed about doing christmas shopping, came home feeling faint and had dreadful stomach pains before realising it was 3pm and I hadn't eaten or drank a thing the whole day through and I'd been up and very active since 6.20am. Still feel a bit rough so I am off to make sense of my life the kitchen and try to get to bed early.
I say this regularly and I fail regularly.
Kelly, HM, hullo! (HM, I'd do stingos and get fish suppers )
