I am another "can't keep up" person - I am at least 3 d'ya threads behind .

But given nickernacker's example (didn't manage to figure out who she was though) I thought I would stick my head round the door and say hi.

There seem to be a lot of new twins around here now - and quite a few on the horizon.

My two are in their first schoolplay on Friday - it will be interesting to see if they actually get up on the stage

ChopsterRoastingOnAnOpenFire · 12/12/2007 08:01

Did someone say something?

A belated happy birthday to Oogs ds, did he have a good day?

It's the boys last day of Preschool today before they break up for xmas. They're meeting father Xmas today - I'm dreading it! dt1 was terrified last year.

Guess who got the date on the carol service wrong and was at the wrong end of town when she should have been picking her dd up from school.

TripleyXmasTippleTigger · 12/12/2007 09:08

Happy belated birthday to oooggs DS hope you had a wonderful day!!!

Good musice choice Mars!! i have the Rat Pack Xmas CD which I get out every year and play at full blast all the way through december!!!

O.K. so remember my post about how good my kids were?

SCRAP IT, ERASE IT AND RUB THE BLOODY THING OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

b stayed for tea at his friends yesterday (was good, bit of sofa jumping) then when it was time to go home,he point blank refused, curled up in a ball and wouldn't let the mum get him ready. She somehow managed to bundle him into the car get him home and the little sod darling refused to get out of the car
So after DH and the mum tried to coax him out(I was watching from window with the girls) enough was enough and I went out and had to man handle him out of the car whilst he went all floppy and carry him in!!!!!!!!!
I was sooooooo embarrassed, the poor mum was all flustered(I did detect a whiff of wine LOL). I said the next time(PMSL)he does that ring me or make him go home in bare feet and yank gently pull him out of the car!!

MarsyChristmas · 12/12/2007 09:20

Gotta beat love your kids! Sigh...

I hate that fuss on leaving somewhere. I put on my "tallest" voice and scare convince the offending said child out!

Hope Ooogs jnr had a lovely day yesterday.

DT1 has been spinning around saying "I can't do the cha cha cha. Oh look I'm doing the cha cha cha"

DT2 has stolen DS1's hat. He refuses to accept that it isn't his because he says it's his. He does look blardy cute in it though.

Am really enjoying my antenatal group. They are such a laugh. I shall miss them when it ends next week. I do hope that they all have really good births.

Can't find my mooncup... need my mooncup!

Have to visit both ladies that gave birth last week. So I will be spending my morning cuddling newborn non-id DT boys! Hard work huh?

Have a great day my gorgeous ladies!

ChopsterRoastingOnAnOpenFire · 12/12/2007 09:24

Throckenholt!
Long time, no see. I xposted with you and missed it.

Mooncups, hmmm, I've been tempted, but just have a feeling it would be £20 down the drain. I'd love to believe they really are as good as everyone says, but not convinced.

TripleyXmasTippleTigger · 12/12/2007 09:27

I would love to be the sort of person that does use them Chops, but i can't help just thinking.................EWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!

I didn't even no what that were until I joined MN, I thought it was some sort of contraception!!!!

ChopsterRoastingOnAnOpenFire · 12/12/2007 09:32

I guess they might work as contraception

I jsu think of all the money I would save from buying oodles of boxes of heavy duty tampax each month!

TripleyXmasTippleTigger · 12/12/2007 09:38

Ahhh see thats one of the joys of having P.O. My trips to the chemist are far and few between!!!!

throckenholt · 12/12/2007 09:47

sorry mars - didn't mean to shock you - hope you are feeling better now .

Hi Chopster (don't think I recognise anyone else here).

MarsyChristmas · 12/12/2007 09:54

Don't worry about recognition. Just bluff and post as though you'd been here all the time.

Have a mince pie. Is it too early for mulled wine?

I'm actually about to be out all day and evening (nothing personal Throck... though I did detect a smell )

Ladies... play nice. Throckenholt is one of the oldies originals (lol)

Heloo ladies, im back from another blardy toddler Xmas party. More baking, more wrapping up a pressie for Santa to hand out to my little horror who hates Santa and wont go near him!!

Now i am off out again to ds#4 Xmas play, he is a lamb. I have to take the youngest 2, should be interesting. My bag is stacked with food and 'Santa' bought Hugo a mini chalk board. Pray for me ladies...

Hey Throck! Nice to have you back, please stay a while.

largevirginbirthandtonic · 12/12/2007 12:57

Pixi noooooo How rubbish to miss out. Perhaps Santa will bring you another?

HarktheHarrogatemumissinging · 12/12/2007 13:32

Ahem - Throck - do you not recognise me in my Christmas disguise??

Pixi - what a bummer re the facial, esp as it was an Elemis one, I love them.

WEll its my lunch break at work.....so cant say a great deal. Very busy, and still not 100% healthy, have pretty much lost my voice and got a v sore throat..and Christmas parties are just around the corner! I have neighbours coming on Friday night plus a few friends for drinks, how many canapes would you serve for 20 people? When I say canapes, I mean bought stuff from the supermarket, not hand made, I hasten to add.

piximon · 12/12/2007 13:47

Oh HM poor you! Wishing you a speedy recovery (although my wishes seem a bit wishywashy at the mo). I've never had a facial (or any Elemis treatments) so no idea what I'm missing. Although my mum did just call me to say she had a fantastic time.

No hope of a repeat present, it was more of a "oh shit wow look what she bought me for my b'day and I didn't even get her a xmas present so I'd better make an effort for her birthday in return" gift. did that make any sense?

doublekissesdoublexmaswishes · 12/12/2007 13:52

Hi all,

Pixi for you that's a real bummer

Hope someone's about, I need reassurance. Liv's got a really sore bottom and a rash that goes up to her belly button... Is this just nappy rash?! Am hopeless at this sort of thing and am a very paranoid first timer so I tend to panic at the smallest thing!! Dp is convinced it is and I'm sure he's probably right!

She is teething as well, and it's awful cos she's soooo upset- she's got no nappy on at the moment and she just keeps lokking at it and crying

piximon · 12/12/2007 13:57

double mine only ever got nappy rash when teething. Gets really sore for them, have you tried pressing on the rash with a glass to see if it dissappears? I rushed DT2 to docs on friday with a rash all over him, but was a viral infection, nothing to do but sit it out and watch it spread. I find extending nappy off time to be really helpful (although gets messy) and extra baths and aloe vera.

doublekissesdoublexmaswishes · 12/12/2007 14:03

Haven't tried the glass yet, will do that now. I'm only hesitant about docs cos I took Adam up there once and it turned out to be heat rash!! Though He was very kind and said about not taking any chances with a rash etc!
I'll leave her nappy off for now but we have to go out soon and I know she's gonna play up when I try to put one back on!
Thanks Pixi

Egg · 12/12/2007 14:04

Oh pixi that's shite. Although facials can be a bit boring mind you....

double... teething can cause really bad nappy rash, so hopefully that's all it is. Have heard some really awful stories on here about it.

DS woke up at 5:50 this morning (yawn) and we have been out all morning so I am going to lie on the sofa for a while as he is having a nap.

I accidentally ate a whole Lindt bell earlier (not the kind of sized one you normally eat in one go).

Mars, have fun with the newborn DTs. I stalked someone again yesterday. She had a powertwin with two car seats on so I wandered over to take a subtle look and she had two teeeeeeeeny babies in there. I wish I had said something to her, as she is obviously local and our DTs would only be a couple of months difference in age, but I was too shy . She was walking a bit funny, so am guessing the birth was pretty recent .

doublekissesdoublexmaswishes · 12/12/2007 14:10

Thanks Egg, lol at the accidental eating of the chocolate!! I seem to that rather a lot!

Egg · 12/12/2007 14:19

But I am trying so hard not to eat it as I am sure it is contributing to my migraine-style headaches that I get. It was lovely though .

TripleyXmasTippleTigger · 12/12/2007 14:29

Oh Egg,something I actually know about!!!

Stay away from Cheese, oranges, chocolate and anything with a lot of citrus. And NEVER eat any of the above together!!!
