Real storm brewing up here, lashing of rain and strong wind......could be worse I suppose, I could be laying in hammock under the coyol trees on my friends desert island in Lake Nicaragua...........Xmas Hmm

shabbs · 18/12/2013 22:56

Have had gale force winds and rain all day - tonight we ended up with hailstone for about half an hour mixed with a small amount of snow Hmm

Oh wow mama! Remind me where you are for Christmas?

Our Christmas wine arrived today. Happy, happy! Might have to crack some open while we wrap presents.

Hope everyone isn't too stressed with the forthcoming festivities.

Hi girlies - mama, sounds as if you are going to have an unusual Christmas to say the least!
Soks- pass the corkscrew pleaseGrin
Shabs, we had gale force winds and horrendous rain here overnight, thought we were going to lose the last of the conservatory roofConfused
Trips - hope things get better for you there, you can leave them all to it and join us, if you like.
Dh went back to work today, GP wasnt too happy, he now thinks he may have a prolapsed (slipped) discSad , but his boss said that if he goes back today on seated, light duties, he wont be on SSP over the holidays.
I have my new contract, to start in January.
James played his guitar in the school soul band and Mike the drums in the swing band at the Christmas concert last night, and both very well, both were the youngest performers in their groups.
Last of pressies arrived today, so will be wrapping tomorrow, going to do food shopping Sunday, we both got £50 gift cards from work (unexpected bonus in my case) which will help.

MultipleMama · 19/12/2013 21:59

We are in England for Christmas. We are literally all sleeping in one room, Artie is in her carrycot, twins in their travel cot and the eldest two are in with DH and I. Let's just say the nights are never boring!

The final removal vans are coming on the 27th, and we'll be spending the night at my dads, and then DH will be driving down with the four kids on 28th. I'll be staying til Apollo is transferred.

What wine have you decided on?

Morning Shabs, morning girls............woke up with a stiff back and neck, good start. Spent 8 hours shopping y/day, took my poorly brother so it was twice as much work! Today I am helping him get his decs up, do his bedrooms for his family coming down. Got 7 coming here all day Sunday, dh`s family from London..............feel exhausted at the thought of it all. Right, time to get up!

triplets · 20/12/2013 23:30

oh..............was it something I said? Where is everyone?

MultipleMama · 21/12/2013 01:51

Hope you had a good day, Trips :)

Today was K's last day at school, his class wrote him leaving cards and got him a box of chocolates that he shared with the class. And then had his Christmas party during the afternoon. He absolutely loved it. A had her own Christmas party at nursery but had to leave early wirh her as the crowds and music set off her anxiety. She did however get to see Santa and gave him a curtsey. It's strange that they won't be returning to school until August. We'll be sending in their school applications just after the New Year for the best chance at places.

Bought my dad another Xmas present today. It's a photo album which I put in photos of him and the DC and the only one I have of him and Apollo.

Another night at the hospital with Apollo abd Artie. Feels so weird to tandem feed them especially when I have the CPAP to contend with but it works.

Also bought my mulled fruit punch from H&B for Christmas. I love the stuff especially warmed up like mulled wine.

Tomorrow we are taking the twins to see Santa and then pawning them all off on my dad as he wants to take them to the farm so we can spend quality time with Artie & Apollo. I need sleep. G'night :)

Morning, girls.

Missing DH so much, I cannot wait for his plane to land in a couple of hours! :)

MultipleMama · 21/12/2013 22:03

Dom fell asleep on Santa. Cutest thing ever. We had a bittersweet family photo, gutted that Apollo isn't included but we made sure to take a few Christmassy photos at the hospital.

Home from the hospital and about to pass out with Artie :)

triplets · 21/12/2013 23:37

Evening girls..............stood at the stove all day cooking! Got the inlaws here tomorrow, arriving at 11am............I need a drink just thinking about it! Night night xx

triplets · 23/12/2013 03:16

Morning girls...................yes just gone 3am! Wide eyed and legless, had a lovely day yesterday with Harrys family, er unfortunately I over indulged and now feeling the consequences. Blame it on sil`s homemade truffles!!

Mama wish you luck with the move, and hope your new life in Germany will be a very happy one. xx

shabbs · 23/12/2013 06:52

Morning girls xx

Grin @ Trips.....the relatives are not the ones from up t'Norff are they?

Mama - Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year - hope the move goes well and you are soon settled xx

MiniSoksMakeHardWork · 23/12/2013 14:14

Afternoon ladies.

All the best for a smooth move and transfer mama.

Trips, sounds like you are getting into the spirit of Christmas?

Manically getting last few things done here and then hoping tomorrow is a quick whizz round for cleaning and then relax. Hmmm.

Got twins new glasses today. They look super cute in them. Pink pair and blue pair but otherwise identical! Just wondering how long it will last before one of them breaks theirs.

Broke into the wine last night. We have a lovely ice wine (red) and another red which are both served straight from the fridge. They are the only two reds I know I like, and I didn't know about the ice wine until we went to a wine tasting. Then we have some bottles of white, which taste a bit like apples. And we pushed the boat out and got the children some fruit juices from the same company. They are delicious. But very much a treat juice.

All in all looking forward to a merry Christmas. Hope everyone is having a lovely time and the weather isn't putting too much of a dampner on things. It's blasted blowy here today. They're advising not to travel the main road to our village as the wind is so strong you could be blown off into the river. And I quite believe it having driven it this morning Shock

Afternoon All. Blowing a hoolie here too. I had to go to the local farm shop to collect the salad stuff, and couldn't belive how wild it was outside.
Miracle of miracles, the boys have voluntarily tidied and vacuumed their rooms, even cleaning their poor fishes tanks out Shock
I've run the vacuum around the place, and cleaned the bsthroom and kitchen., and even remembered to get the gammon out of the freezer to defrost, and am now about to sit down with mulled wine for an early alcholic boost.

triplets · 23/12/2013 22:55

Evening all.............finally got back go sleep at around 6am, woke at 8am and by 9am walked into town.........40 mins brisk blow along the beach! Quite scary out there still, going to be a wild night. I had wanted to go to the cemetery today but couldnt face it in this weather. Double cross with dd, whats new? She went to Canterbury last Frid after school broke up, took £10 Christmas gift money she wasnt supposed to. Spent every penny she had and bought a cd. Just seen it in her room, yep......Ive got it wrapped up for Christmas for her..........grrrrr! Cant be bothered to send it back to Amazon, she really drives me nuts! Must say I am not really looking forward to Christmas dinner, just us so like every Sunday, dd hates roast anywayso shell sit with a slice of turkey and a yorkshire pud, nothing else. None of the kids eats Christmas pudding or mince pies.................you do wonder why you bother. I expect you younger Mums think I am being miserable............its just after 35years of doing it the novelty wears off!! Are you with me on that one Shabs? No it wasnt the Norven lot Shabs, it was the Muswell `ill mob!! Night all xx

MultipleMama · 24/12/2013 00:29

Surprise! I have spare minutes to myself before chaos breaks out tomorrow plus I can't sleep at having to sleep with the window slightly open listening to the rain because I'm sweating to death but worried that I'm making Artie cold but she feels warm and snug so...

Trips, you're not miserable at all! And I have all this to come!

None of the kids like Xmas pud, neither do I but DH tolerates it so instead I make Baked Alaska with Choc sauce! We're also a Vegetarian household so we have roasted veggies and yorkshire pud instead of a roast. Twins are still picky eaters so will just have mash and fruit with carrot sticks (sounds disgusting but they love it I have weird children ).
