Evening ladies. Since we're at 999 now. Was feeling reflective tonight.

Morning girls xx

Know exactly what you mean Trips....I am terrified of girls to start with!! They know their own mind and everything - give me a daft lad any day LOL

Ive got Lew overnight on Saturday so Dan & Em can go out and celebrate Dans (and Gareths) 32nd birthday. I know this will sound very mean but I dont want to do it!! BUT I will and pin on a smile.

Wish me luck....going into our local town to get birthday cards, for Dan & Grace, for my Mum to write out!! She asked me to get 'separate cards for Dan & Gareth rather than one that says twins on.' Sad I haven't and I will get into trouble if she remembers that she asked me.

So far beyond tired that I feel sick

Shabbs and Trips, I don't think either of you are being miserable or should feel forced to smile. It's easy for those around to not understand or forget why there are sad times. It took until I left home to learn why my dad was never the most bearable person at Christmas.

We're just picking up the last bits of shopping which didn't come on our delivery yesterday, dropping presents off up friends and relatives and then home to tidy up again!

Kids are between excited and grouchy. So much going on and so little routine today. I've never been a stickler for routine as I don't think it helps when things suddenly change. But Bigger doesn't cope well without knowing the days itinerary. And dot baby likes their sleep time even now.

Shabs/Trips - I agree with you both, I am struggling to get into the Christmas spirit here too.
I rushed around tidying this morning as my ocd big bro was bringing his new lady and her boys over to us. All I could see was the mess my 2 seem lo leave in their wake wherever they seem to go!
Luckily, when they arrived, the house was relatively tidy and she is lovely, so much nicer than his "everything has to be perfect" former wife! We were actually able to relax in their company and have a bit of a laugh, and my 2 boys took her 2 (11&12yrs) upstairs to their now tidy room to play without me dying of shame.Blush
Now going off to visit mum. At least I am not doing the cooking tomorrow as we are all hoing over to younger bro's for lunch, I just have to take a sherry trifle (which I will make tonight) and some wineGrin

Don't you just love Xmas eve... All my plans to be sorted and sitting down with a snowball or two and some chocolate have been blown. A friend came over to drop presents off, stayed for a chat. As he left, another one arrived - same thing. She's lovely but can't take a hint so nearly 2 hours later, after we've fed the dc, bathed the babies and put them to bed, she's still here. Can't exactly say bugger off as we've not seen her in ages. But some warning would have been nice! I've still got masses to shove up in the loft. Dh seems to think it will fit in my car. But even if it did (it won't), it's got to go in the loft anyway so why put it anywhere else first when it's only going to have to be moved again when we need my car.

Can someone please tell me son that Santa doesn't come if you're awake. That's one bad thing about sharing a room with the DC. He keeps proding me and asking if Santa has been. So I resorted to sly tactics and moved him and DH downstairs to sleep on the sofa. He's a heavy sleeper so DH and I don't have to worry about disturbing him to bring the presents down!

Night all. Hope you have a great Christmas. Love, K, A, the twins, the A-team and DH & I :) xx

Goodbye house! Everything is packed and gone. Just watched the last van leave. I didn't think I'd get emotional over a house but I remember bringing K through the front door for the first time and thinking that this house had become a home. All the DCs firsts were here. I grieved for mama in that bedroom with DH right beside me. It's finally sinking in that I'm not only leaving the home we made but I'm leaving my only family behind and oh, bloody hell I promised I won't cry! I have no doubts and I'm excited about a new start but it's just so overwhelming. I look a state sat here on the step, Artie strapped to my chest, crying my eyes out. I don't wanna hand the keys over to my dad just yet.

Sorry Mama I hadnt read your post. Did you have to leave on Boxing Day perhaps would have been nice to have ended Christmas in your home. So when is your dh and other dcs leaving for Germany? Are you staying with your Dad until Apollo leaves hospital? It will be an exciting new beginning for you all. xx

Hello, LG&T :)

Trips, they leave early morning on Saturday. We didn't have to pack up today as it was gunna tomorrow but we decided if we finished today we could enjoy the last day together before we split for the move. I'll be staying at the hospital until the transfer instead of my dad's but dad will be visiting us daily at the hospital.

Did you have a lovely Xmas?

Happy Boxing day Ladies. Hi LG&T
Mama- so sad for you to leave your old house, but im sure your new life will be wonderful and full of surprises.
Trips - Hope today is good for yoy
Shabs- enjoy your day too, I know yesterday was very hard for both you and Trips.
Soks- thanks for the lovely Christmas message.
Yesterday turned out well in the end, after a shaky start. I woke to M crying over his stocking giftsSad, I thought I would treat them as a little more grown up, so had included smellies, a book, some chocs and a video each, but not a larger pressie from "santa" as I had done in previous yearsBlush He thought he had been "bad" (he knows I buy the gifts, not really santa, but we all preserve the illusion) and didnt deserve one, I forget they are more immature than their age sometimes. After they opened their main pressies, which were a total and wonderful surprise to them, and I explained I had spent a lot on that, rather than several smaller, less expensive gifts, he was fine.
Went to lunch at DBros, which tbh, DH wasn't looking forward to, and much to the surprise of DH, we all spent a wonderful, laughter filled afternoon. Home in the evening, boys engrossed on new pads, DH on new XBox game, and me left in peace to watch my programmes. No cooking involved in the whole day, bliss!! Grin Grin Grin

Sounds like you had a wonderful day, bubs.

Our day started at 5.30am with a trip to A&E. One little 5 year got too excited and why trying to run to the tree and got his foot trapped in his blanket and went head first whacking his head on the fireplace. He needed it gluing and we were home within an hour! I went to visit Apollo while DH stayed with K. He gets his clumsiness from me Blush.

The kids loved their presents from Santa. I also loved my present, DH bought me a promise ring and an invitation to my own promise ceremony to renew our vows in 2015, he planned and booked the whole thing! Xmas Shock Flowers.

We had my dad and my cousin and her dd over foe dinner and then dad took the DC to his so we could spend time with Apollo, then headed back for the party. It was fun and lovely! :)

Sounds like you've all had lovely times. We've had ok times. Dealing with bigger and major meltdowns has occupied much of our time. I can honestly say I can't wait until the holidays are over. Sadly neither it appears can he Hmm

Aww poor you soks xxx Hope everything calms down for you soon.

It's been very quiet here, mostly lazy days! Quite nice after a rather hectic year and to have some time just to chill together.
