Just as a final insult for 2013, our shower went wrong and blew the main house fuse this morning! Had to wait for uk power network to come and replace it, they finally arrived at 9pm, but now we have to replace our electric shower - roll on 2014, it must be better!!

Happy birthday to your boys, Shabs!

The hardest thing I've done is watch my family leave me behind. This morning was horrible. The twins knew something was up and wanted nursing constantly, K was really quiet, and A was her usually quiet self, a bit oblivious. Once in the car and the twins realised I wasn't coming, the screamed which set off A and K was crying quietly, bloody broke my heart. Just got a call from DH, they're now in France and he's only just got the kids sleeping. I feel awful but I have Apollo & Artie for company. My dad is heartbroken though...

Happy Birthday to two very special boys............lets hope there has been the most wonderful party upstairs! xx

Another noisy night.............dd has a friend to stay as the boys did last night, all she is doing is showing off. Very cross with her and Thomas, both went to Canterbury today just for the sake of it with friends. They had £30 Christmas money and have blown £20 of it today on rubbish, mainly food and drinks, ds also paid adult fare instead of asking for a childs return, over £7. Makes me cross because they dont get a lot of pocket money so they could have bought something nice with it. Also it was given by my brothers and three of them means £30, tenner each. Lot of money!! Kids !! Hope you are ok Mama, wont be long until you are all together. xx

Had Lew overnight - he is still asleep!!! Mind you his normal bedtime is 7pm and we all watched 'Up' together and he thought that it was hysterical that I cried.....then him and Uncle Tom had sausage rolls and garlic bread (weird combination but they wanted a party!) even though he brought his camping bed he wanted to sleep downstairs on the sofas! So we did - and I just woke up on the smallest sofa Hmm It was 10 before he fell asleep and had asked his 1,000th question of the night....

'Can you imagine touching lava?'
'Where do you think the lost city of Atlantis really is?'
'How long does it take to fly to Mexico?'

and on and on and on and on and on................

Have you watched Atlantis Shabs, finished last night, me and Thomas loved it. Well finally got to sleep at 3am, bloody girls. Dk buggered off to his allotment at 11am only just retd, kids all drifted down for b/fast between 11-12pm, I have cooked a piece of pork for tonight, prepped everything else and am now going to walk over the hill to see a friend and her 3 manic dogs, dk who moans we are never invited anywhere won`t come, so on my own I will go. And when she asks me if I want a cup of tea I am going to say no, I need a beer!
Had sad news last night, my very last uncle died here in Deal, my Dad lovely brother :( That's going to be two funerals in January.
Right off out in the sunshine. xx

Haven't watched any of it Trips - couldn't cope with Lew's million questions if we did!!

Very sorry to hear about your Uncle. Somehow this time of year makes things like that doubly sad. xxxx

No spoilers, Trips! But was it good? Still catching up, on Ep.9 at the minute, kids take all my free time! Haha. Sorry, to hear about your dad's brother. Awful news :(

Wearing my beautiful necklace that DH bought me for Christmas, it's a taxidermy bat skull set in cameo. It's beautiful and I miss him. How I managed 4 weeks while PG, I'll never know!

Apollo is a little worse for wear today, his temperature keeps dropping so he's swaddled and his incubator temp has been turned up slightly. His lips are tinted blue, but though his heart rate is really low but normal for him, so he needs more tests and hope to stabilize him before the transfer or they'll have to postpone it. Urgh.

Shabs - Im sure both the earthly and heavenly parties were a riot.
Trips - I hope you survived the rest of the triplets holidays. My two have already spent their Christmas money, it burned a hole in their pockets so they spent it on Halo stuff on Friday.(its an xbox game).
Mama- it sounds as if it was heartrending seeing you family off, I hope Apollo picks up quickly so you can all be together again, but it will be even sadder for your poor father.
We bought a new shower unit yesterday, and DH tried to fit it today, but the fuse blew again, and he reckons that the wiring needs replacing, yet another bodge we have found made by this house's previous owner. He was a builder, but I now wouldnt trust anything he built to stand for long!
Now we have no hot water at all, as our boiler packed in a couple of months back, and we cant afford to have either fixed atmSad
Kettles and pans of water for the moment to fill the bath I reckon.
We went to the panto in Ipswich yesterday, It was a great show, but let down a little by the bloke who played Cpt Hook , he was DI Burnside in The Bill, and, compared with the rest of the cast who were all from Kids TV, his acting was very flat. The boys say they did enjoy it, but they didn't show it much, typical teenage destain for anything which might be perceived as fun by their parents.Blush

Yes it was vey good Mama, a few twists and turns!! Hope Apollo is ok, such a little soldier bless him.
Off to Canterbury in the morning to sort out my kitchen plans, the fitter has had a look at the design and is not happy with some of it! Been such a nightmare before it even goes in!!
Hoping for a decent nights sleep............one ds round at friends for the night so all quiet.................bliss! xx

Ah, watched the final episode. I was not expecting that. Apparently she has a heart after all, however small. However, I still cannot look at Hercules without imagining him in a thong from The Full Monty.

Ever watch a film with actors from your area and you find yourself asking yourself if you really sound like that? I cannot watch Kez without thinking. My mama knew one of characters and it was filmed at my old school! My mama's accent really did sound like that and I do most of time!

Tomorrow dad is stopping all day at the hospital with me. And already planned for visits next year :) Dad has also heard from SS and his fostering process has begun :) xx

Evening all.................rain rain rain..............got soaked today and more forecast tomorrow. Went to Canterbury today with dk and James who after me saying hes the careful one with money spent £50 today on new clothes for himself, he likes to choose his own, saves me a fortune! I was looking for bargains as now Ive got dks b/day on the 17th and the trios on the 27th!! Really cross, saw a leather bag in M&S reduced to £25, dk needs a new small shoulder type bag. Just looked at it an its not a shoulder bag a all but a wash bag...........£25!!! So back that goes tomorrow. No plans here for tomorrow night, what are you all up to? Feel abit sorry for the kids really, we aren't fussed and last year didn't even stay up until midnight, but at almost 16 they want to do something. Transport is such a problem, taxi here won`t ake bookings on NYE. An ideas?

Maybe a few fireworks in the backyard, Trips? Is there something local going on that's cheap?

We had family round as a kid and had a few fireworks in the garden. Since the kids were born we have the tradition of having my dad and cousin over and playing family games while the kids play or sleep and bring in the New Year with sparklers. This year however my dad and I will be spending a quiet night at the hospital watching Apollo fight for another day with us, DH is also spending it having a movie night with the DC. I miss them so much.

Lets hope 2014 brings us new hope and happiness :)

We are going to a friends tonight. Totally and utterly dreading it!!! Best friend Chelle usually has a party but her brother is doing it this year - they have a really big family so there will be approx 13,000 kids there Grin well it feels like that anyway!!

When the twins were 3 days old it was New Years Eve. That day they discharged as many mums and babies as they could from the maternity unit. Ended up just myself and one other lady. That was also the day that Gareth was transferred to the local childrens hospital. I remember lying there at midnight listening to the boats at Salford Quays sounding their 'horns' (or whatever makes a noise on a boat) at midnight....I crawled under my blanket and sobbed. I still struggle with NYE.

Right off to my parents house - Mum says her kitchen looks like a bomb has hit it!! So will try and sort it for her. xx

Already not looking good for 2014. Was determine to be more financially sorted this year. Woke up to a negative bank balance and no wages - should have been paid 9 weeks owed money on the 31st. Payoff from work not expected until the 31st jan. And then I feel I'm being optimistic given I was dismissed in August. Was it too much to ask that one thing be truly behind me as we entered the new year? Instead it's being dragged out further.

Happy New Year to you all (good to see you Charley.)

Last night was much better than I expected......ended up with my friends two little grandsons attacking me with plastic dinosaurs and Tom wandering around the house with them keeping them amused....was suprised at how great he was with them - they are 3 and 2....and I sat all night with my friends son (he is 13) he has autisim and severe learning difficulties. He can quote entire scripts from 'Only fools and horses' 'Benidorm' and 'The Royal Family!!' He is a fantastic lad. I said to him 'Tommy while you are at the buffet will you bring some sandwiches for me please?' Without turning his head he gave his normal sentance 'You can kiss my arse Shabbs!!!!!!!!!' LOL LOL LOL - I know you shouldnt laugh BUT............
