We're getting UK TV! I miss English programs! Right now I had to rely on my dad recording them. Saw the guide today and can't believe I'm missing a Bear Grylls program! Omph, what I would do with him alone on a beach! Grin

DH let K watch the film Gravity. Now the poor thing keeps crying because he thinks his favourite astronauts won't come back to Earth. It'd be funny if he wasn't so distraught over it so I've let him sleep in our bed tonight.

Hospitals are so depressing. I'm sick of this tiny room and these four walls. It's our anniversary on 10th and we both are too drained to do anything or make it special like we always do.

Next week I'm having a "me" day at DH's insistance. So, I've booked myself in with a S&C coach and having a fitness test done. A far cry from a rest like DH wanted but it's what I need.

I reckon Mama, that will do you the world of good. Personally I think exercise is far better than sitting around relaxing for giving you an energy boost and lifting your mood!

I'm still lurking around. Been making the most of the nice weather really. Sunday I did a 7 mile run, then came back and played table tennis with dh, then we went to the park and played football and badminton with the kids. Got covered in bruises from fending off footballs as I was the best goalie. I love these warm sunny days!

dd has been quite a lot better. She is so much nicer when she spends less time with her friends - AIBU to just ground her til she leaves home? Grin

Today I am.......pi**ed off, knackered and had enough!!! Got a great pic of my Dad - just looking at it now. He is sat in his back garden with his shorts on, bare feet, arms folded, brown as a nut, glass of whisky on the table - and he has his head back laughing.

I have been muttering, swearing and pacing around the living room. Proper crash and burn type of day. I caught sight of him laughing in the picture and had a rant at him as well Hmm

If anyone finds my 'marbles' (because I have lost them!) please keep them safe for me.

Chops, I can't do for resting. I tell myself I'm having a break but I get restless and irrtiable and end up finding something to do - like exercise or a new hobby!

I came home this morning and the house was scarily quiet. My house is hardly ever quiet. I call my dad and he says he's the garden - they're camping. K & A had their own little tent and were still sleeping, my dad & Artie were wrapped in a sleeping bag on the deck, the twins however must have cleverly gotten out the tent and snuck into the dog kennel as dad woke up with them missing only the twins sleeping on dog sharing their blankets...Hmm

Apollo is doing well, he's now off CPAP and on to low-flow (thank god!) and has regained his swallowing reflex but is still fed by tube. He's off all medication including fluids and his original meds for his conditions. He has no movement in his left arm, his head is still a little wobbly and he has little movement in his left leg. Tomorrow he will be moved to HDU for monitoring and loads of scans and hopefully by next week he will be on the Children's ward or home! :)

Evening ladies. Mama. That is some good news. Hope apollo's move went well and he continues to improve.

Hoping to go to London again Monday, taking the big two for a day out. That's the plan anyway...

hi girls. sorry, been so busy.
Shabs - Thoughts are with you today
Trips - have things settled with dd, and is grumpy dh behaving himself any better?
Mama- glad little A is a bit better.
Hi Soks and Chops
Had auntie's funeral today, lovely service, and lovely to catch up with all my cousins. Sad we have got to the point we only meet at funerals.
As for work, I had a great 1 month supervision/review, they are pleased with me and have said that I am definitely going to head up the dementia unit, with its associated pay grade. Oh, and our aggressive gent has now got the help he needs, it didn't matter that other residents and staff were hit, but it took him giving the GP a smack around the head before he agreed that there was a problemAngry
The only problem I have is my ankle is swelling like a football by the end of a couple of 13hr shifts,Sad oh, and I have a nice bright pink caste on my wrist at the momentGrin

oh, and soks, you will continue to wade through lego for some years yet, and even after, you will continue to find the horrible sharpe little bits in every nook and crannie for ever after! My feet find them regularly!

Happy anniversary to my beautiful hushand. I love more beyond words can express. Thank you for our 7+ years together and helping me create and raise our 6 beautiful children.

"As we grow older together, as we continue to change with age, there is one thing that will never change; I will always keep falling in love with you."

Shabs, lighting a candle today for your beautiful boy xxx

Apollo is still in ICU only because he is bypassing HDU straight to the children's ward and didn't want to upset/disrupt him more than they have to :)
