Morning girls xx

Thanks for the advice - what you have said makes much more sense than what the passport woman told me - she had no idea what I meant!!

Mama- travelling with 2 is bad enough, travelling with 6 you need a gold medal, either that or a one way ticket to the looney bin
Shabs - just double check, but the others are probebly right.
Trips- just make sure you send in the photo's within the 2 weeks of the signature date, or they will return them again!

Sad day here - our Mollycat (moomoo) got hit and killed by a car travelling at god knows what speed past our house this morning, (certainly not 30mph.)They didn't stop, but the lady following did, and took the time to knock at our door, as she had seen Molly come out of or driveway. She had been killed outright, it was probebly so quick she didn't even feel much, which is a blessing.
Michael is so upset, as she was really his cat more than anyone elses. We have buried her in the garden, she just looked like she was asleepSad Sad Sad
I feel bad, as I had chucked her off my bed 1/2hr before, saying to her "go and get some exercise, you lazy thing" If I had left her there, she would still be with us. Sad

Having a very bad evening here. Dc are all fine now and settled in bed but I proper lost my temper and could cry at hurting my biggest baby girl. She's ok now but it's scared me how quickly I went to lash out. Sad

Think I might need another trip to dr before my next appointment as I can't keep feeling like this and the anger is only getting worse.

Visited my parents today. They looked well as silly as I know that is BUT they did. Dad said to me 'just come and look in the fridge!!'

Yesterday he said to Mum that he fancied fishermans pie. He had noticed in the local shop they had one that he liked. He told Mum to get him 4 of them and they could freeze them and he could have one whenever he wanted.

He said to me 'Open the fridge' - my Mum was shouting from the living room 'I hope you two are not taking the mickey out of me!!'

Dad said 'OK so I ask for four fishermans pies, go on love just open the fridge door and see what the daft old bat has brought.'

I opened the door and she had four massive bags of 'FISHERMANS FRIENDS' - why she had put them in the fridge I have no idea LOL LOL LOL

Dad looked at me, tutted and walked back into the living room. ROFL

Oh Bubby that is so sad, I am so sorry. We lost Ollie last year like that, and we still have our Molly his sister, you poor things. xx
Soky hope you are feeling ok, I know you are beating yourself up, we all lash out at times and regret it, you are probably very tired. xx
Shabs rofl that is soooooooo funny, handy if they get a cough!! Well dk off for his scan tomorrow, fingers xd the surgery hasnt come undone. My lovely friend Hella has now been moved to Deal hospital which makes it easier for us all to visit, not good for her though all this change, poor thing. Wish they would hurry up and get my mouth sorted, its worrying me having such a hard lump on my gum, anyone here had an apecectomy?

Morning girls

Don't beat yourself up too badly soks, like trips said, we've all been there. {{{hugs}}}

So sorry to hear of your loss Bubby :(

Travelling with 6?? You are a braver woman than me! I'm really looking forward to this year just having two for a change.

GrinGrin at the fisherman's friends!

Passports are a nightmare, I think dd's will be due when she is 15 too, so annoying that will have to get another 5 year jobby rather than a 10 year.

Just back from dropping dh to the station, it is 4C outside!! In MAY! So fed up with this weather. I want the kids back out and about again, I want to be outside with them! On the plus side though cold and wet is great for running!

We'll be going next Christmas to visit my Grandparents who haven't seen any of their GC in person yet and I get to spent it with my brother. DF is coming too so more adult hands to help. Think it's an 8 hour flight too! Yikes!

Okay, going back to sleep after bf and DF is up. Will reply properly later! X

And now I'm bawling for poor Mollycat and giggling at Shab's dad. At the same time. I'm a hysterical mess!

Am feeling slightly reassured that its not just me. And beautiful cuddles from biggest this morning as she was so excited about going on her school trip. I think hope she has forgotten about last night in her excitement at going to to sea life centre, hoping to play pirates on the wooden ship in the play area and seeing the giant turtle and seals again (we went the day I screwed up her first day of school).

Jennifer is really suffering today with her throat. Am plying her with fridge cold water, ice cream and calpol. Poor sausage just wants to sleep or be held, or be cuddles to sleep. Joshua is quite happily making a break for the stairs every time I forget to close the bottom stair gate. It's a great game for him, giggling the whole way as he scrambles up the stairs before I catch him. Am seriously going to have to show him how to get safely down again, just in case.

Soks- glad your dd is looking forward to her day out. The others are right, we have all been there, and its especially hard as Jen is not well.
Trips - hope you get your mouth sorted soon, and I'm glad dh has got his scan organised, and that your friend Hella is nearer home now.
Mama- Sounds as if you will have a good time, and it helps a lot to have the extra adult hands.
Shabs- LOVE the fishermans friends tale Grin Grin - the carer and i were searching for the teacaddy at mums yesterday, we found it in the freezer, the carer said she wondered if mum had fancied some iced tea!!Grin
Chops/Ruby - I agree, travelling is so much easier when they are old enough to pull along their own luggage. Wink

Boys obviously still upset about Molls this morning, but I said try not to mention it too much at school, as kids can be cruel. Sure enough, I get a txt from J saying M had told others on the bus, and now they were upsetting him with stupid jokes. Sad Angry when will they learn to listen to meSad

Told him I couldnt afford to buy a new one so he has fitted me, free of charge, a hub ? Had no idea what that was but its a modem and router all in one. Its rather posh but I will still talk to you all Grin

Trips - Haha. You're welcome to sneak in our suitcases!
Bubby - I hope we have a good time, I can't wait to show the kids around Russia and buy those cute Russian hats for them! Sorry, to hear about your cat. We had to put ours down when I was 16 as someone ran her over and her back legs and spine were broken. I was heartbroken.
Shabs - Oh, that's funny! Made me chuckle. We have the VirginMedia hub, looks like a space thing if you ask me!
Soks - We all have days like that. I've shouted at DS and I felt like the worst parent ever but I bribed him with a trip to the park and 1:1 time. Hope Jenn gets better, hate hearing that LOs are sick Sad

Need some advice, ladies. Work called and apparently it's getting busy and they've asked if I could come back in July instead of Sept (they've mentioned it before but was just a suggestion, now they're asking).

I would be going back part-time. 20h per week/4 days. Mon - Thurs. 9pm - 2pm.

I can rearrange DF's days so he has all 4 Mons/Thurs instead of Fridays so it's not changing their routine much, but it means I'll have to hire a childminder/babysitter for Tues/Weds to look after DTS & DD for 5 hours. I'll be there in the morning to do DS's school run/drop DD off and be home in time to pick DS up at 2.30pm (work is a 20 min drive) and hopefully around the time DTS wake up from nap time.

However, I'm nervous about having someone besides family look after dc - I'm not very trusting. Qualifications don't impress me as they could be smart but horrible with children. I know I can interview and watch them with dc but I'm nervous about leaving them alone as I've never done it before. I'll have to do it sometime when I do return to work. Any tips/advice?

This situation is just an if as it depends on T1 and if they're fluid increases enough to not pose a risk after 1st trimester.

Sorry for long post!!!

Mama - the real question is, will you be eell enough to go back to work with your present pregnancy? I must admit, I was very like uou, as ehen youg, my 2 had complex mefical needs, and I really fidnt trust anyone else to look after them. Is there any way to eork from home, or fo fleci hours around DH and DF?

yes, I meant flexi hours and home working around your family support.

I've told work it all depends on what the Doctor and midwife think but they've already said I shouldn't even be thinking of returning until I hit my 2nd trimester, so this is still a 'what if' situation.

Dh works 8am - 5pm Monday to Friday, DF can work from home but not all the time, hence only having them 2-3 x a week depending on his work load.

They mainly need me through the week (I'm a dog handler in security) and I don't want to give up family weekends as it's only time DH and I can spend family time together.

DH laughed and said I should install secret cameras until I trust them... he was joking but I actually considered it, how crazy is that?

Morning ladies, nice catch up with your messages, I too couldnt get an internet connection y/day, seems ok now. Went to hosp for dks scan y/day it is a blood clot. This pm we go to the hosp he had the surgery done to see what they say. The break on the IOW a week on Sun is fading into the distance, think we will lose our money. Just cant plan anything, so frustrating........grrrr. Had a sleepless night, worrying about dk, about IOW and about dd who went to Brighton with friends last night to a concert. She stayed over at friends house, I have txt her three times to see if she is ok, nothing! Kids and dks!!

Afternoon All. Sunny day here, hope it lasts through to Saturday, as we have the local Agricultural Show, and the boys and I are due to be helping in the Young Farmers tent, setting up Friday night before they all get to go to the ajacent Fair, they have free tickets for £5 worth of rides, which I will top up.
DH has found some 2nd hand cylinder heads, but they are in Hounslow 2hrs+ away, so DH has to drive there and back Saturday, so cant do the show.Sad
