Dk annoyed thinks its all mumbo jumbo or I`ll be told something that will upset me. Shabs what do you think?

I have seen one particular local medium a couple of times. In my opinion he was about 90% right with what he told me - also things he couldnt possibly know. If it brings you comfort I cannot see the harm in it in any way. xx

Evening!

I've got a nearly 5yo Dd, nearly 3yo DS and 13mo girl/boy twins.

Shabs. Hope your weekend is being gentle to you.

Trips. How's Dh now? Hope he has got the message to slow down now.

Mama. I can't imagine how frustrating things are right now. Resting is one thing but enforced rest... Hope your little ones are being good.

Chops. Hey. Hope you are having a better weekend.

Hey sok, the twins are a little unsettled but the older dc have been DF's little helpers fetching me the blasted water I have to drink and keeping me company. Think I should do this more often lol Wink

Shabs- Thanks for your remember day.???????.
Trips- fingers crossed its a haematoma (blood clot) as that can be drained and if necessary the wound packed. Yes, understand completely about teenage son driving you mad re xbox membership.
Soks - Just like Chops son, Mike gets terrible back and joint pains due to the hypotonia if he has been very active, maybe try a little neurofen on those screaming nights.
Mama Blush Blush , I will stop nagging, promise!
Hi Cheery, All welcome here, my id boys are now 12yrs, but we go right across the range of ages here. I still remember how scared I was when I found out I was expecting my two. DH was bursting with pride, I burst into tearsSmile
Hi Rubes. How are things going?
DH is now really upset and pissed off. It turns out that the problem with the Pontiac is a cracked cylinder headSad Sad . He only did the engine rebuild last year. Its going to cost all the money I saved for a holiday to fix it, (if we can get the a matching 2nd hand head, it will save us some money, but finding one is the problem, we may have to fit a pairSad ) but if we don't fix it now, we let down 2 brides and 3 prom attendees who have booked the car for their special days, and I can't do that to them.Sad
On the good news front, however, I got both boys replacement bikes cheap off ebay, as they had outgrown their old ones, and they are over the moon. They and a friend went for a 20mile bike ride today, no squabbling or fighting, just brotherly togetherness, what a change that has been.Grin

Good evening ladies and welcome to our newbie :)
Last night was amazing............I didnt get any sign from Matthew or my Mum which I sooo wanted............but..............oh my Dad, my lovely Dad said he was so proud of me.........she described him to a t, said we played cards and scrabble together and other things, then she said she had a lady who had died from breast cancer which had spread to her lungs, very small and frail, she was showing her needlework, she was good at sewing, crocheting and had worked in a charity shop, she saw a budgie...................it was dks Mum!! She just couldnt have made it all up, she was spot on, I also felt very cold when she spoke to me. She said I had a rod of iron in me, I had built a barrier around me to stop me getting hurt, that I did everything for everyone. She also said did I work with children, that I should work with children that have suffered a trauma, I would be very good at that. I went to bed feeling good, I know a lot of people dont believe but how did she know? I just love to think my Dad was with me:)

Morning lovelies.

Thanks bubs and chops. I've been giving Jen calpol. So tired I think I forgot nurofen would probably be better Blush

Jen has also woken up with a rocketing temperature and rapid breathing this morning so all in she's having a rough few days. Mum reminded me that my sister used to do the agonising screaming thing to the point where she admits freely at the time, when the dr told her she was just neurotic and nothing was wrong - it was something all babies do, she could cheerfully have dashed my sister against a wall. As it happens my sister had a dislocated hip from a breech birth and ended up with repeat surgeries to fix it as she was nearly 2 when it was finally picked up on.

Trips - I'm glad you had a lovely session with the medium. I've often thought about seeing one myself but without knowing why id want to. I think it goes back to a gypsy woman giving my mum two cushion covers, one for my sister and one for me. Mum didn't tell us until after we had picked the one we wanted - one was cream and other white, beautiful hand crocheted works - that not only had she not told the woman she had 2 daughters, but also the woman had specifically given the cream one for the eldest and white for the youngest. Which was exactly as we had picked them.

Trips- No, I don't think you are silly at all, as I have attended a sprititualust church on and off for years, and have had very personal messages from my dad and my gran in the past. The message from my dad was so off the wall, but so correct that i never for one moment doubted it was real. The medium didn't know from Adam, and I was new to the church at the time, so they couldnt have known either.

I think I need to go back to school for some maths tuition, as I was trying to help James with negative equations last night, and I think I confused the poor boy more.Blush Blush. Mind you, God knows when he will ever use this in "real life"Hmm

However, I was astonished with the fact they don't teach children about their own country's modern history, I was watching a film about the abdication of Edward VIII, and neither boy knew anything about it!
They teach up to Victoria, but, apart from WW1 & WW2, nothing at all about 20th C history.

Can anybody help?

Just about to renew passports. Tom is 16 the day we tavel. Rang passport office (0300 number so bloody expensive)

Me: We have to renew our passports and I am unsure of wether to do an adult or a child application - my child is currently 15 but will be 16 the day we travel.

Passport fool: Ohhhhh just hang on a few moments while I try to find the correct information.

Passport fool: From what I can gather you will need to apply 2 weeks before you go.....if someone is 16 in two weeks time you can apply then?

Me: BUT what if the passport doesnt come through in time?

PF: It PROBABLY will.

Me: BUT probably is not going to be great is it??

PF: Well you could pay for premium service which will deliver it asap.

Me: It would work out cheaper for us to get the train to Liverpool and wait for it in their passport office.

PF: Well you will have to make an appointment - you cant just turn up.

Arrrrrgggggggggggghhhhhhh she kept me listening to the music for another 10 minutes until I put the phone down.

ANYBODY ANY EXPERIENCE OF CHILD/ADULT PASSPORT??? May start a thread off on MN if nobody knows. Rang our travel agents - they dont know......the Post office said they are not sure so look on the passport offices website....why do they presume I haven't already done that??

Evening everyone.

bubby You can nag at me all you like but DH is driving me crazy, I turn 12 weeks next week so I'm hoping things have improved and I can get off blasted bed rest and take my dc to the park!

I'll definitely be giving DH the homework task, he took physics and algebra in University. I'll stick with their English homework haha.

In school, I learnt about the Great Depression and the Holocaust, The black plague but very little about the monarchy.

And history was my favourite hope to go to University and do history when dc are older.

Trips I don't think you're silly, I've never had the guts to go see one - I don't believe in that stuff - my mum did, I guess I'm scared of being wrong.

sok Hope little Jen gets better and settles Flowers

Shabs- your best option may be to mske an appointment at yhe passport office, at least you will ensure you get his passport in time to travel. They have an email enquiry service, maybe you should send them an email to that, as at leadt you will have a written reply you can take in with you and use as evidence of their answer to your question. From hard earned past experience I don't trust any government department to admit they have given the wrong thing anymore over the phone.

Shabs you have my full sympathy! You have also just reminded me I need to post mine off again! I told you they retd all three of the kids application? They said I needed to get the photos countersigned, I hadn`t as it said in their booklet if the child is still recognizeable there is no need. They sent three new forms but not my photos back, I was told they are now the property of HM government and will stay in there files forever! I had paid £18 for the three sets, got them done in a shop not a booth. Turned out to be a blessing as when I went back and told them what had happened and I would have to bring the kids down and start again they looked them up on their pc and printed off another set each and only charged me for one! Go them countersigned but forgot to post them!! Be interested how you get on!

I do, however, know the question I need to ask......Its only taken me about 10 hours to realise it!!!!!!!

'If I renew my 15 year old sons passport this week so that it is still a childs passport will it be legal to use on the day we travel when he will be 16?'

There you go...simple question...but bet it wont be a simple piggin' answer!!

Surely its got to be Shabs, his pp will expire in 2018. I have just forked out £138 plus photos and postage for theirs it will last them until 2018 when they`ll be 20. I hope that's the way it works Hmm
