Have fun at the show bubby, I love going to fairs and markets, I'm hoping the sunny weather stays so I can relax in the garden with dc.

Question: Is a picnic considered bed rest, if I'm sat on a blanket doing nothing but scoffing my face in the park? Please say yes, lol

triplets · 16/05/2013 23:02

YES MM it is! Right went to the hosp and saw the consultant who was abit vague and in a hurry! Basically he wants the clot to drain naturally, so some will come out of the drain and some will be absorbed back into the body. Poor dk really screamed when they put a new suture into the drain site, no anaesthetic................ouch! He also wants act scan doing before Thurs when we go back to see him. If the drain has to stay in after that then we won`t be able to go to the IOW :( Sooooo fed up with hospitals, do feel for dk this op has been worse than any of his cancer ones. Night all xx

Morning ladies.

Thank you all for your kind words the other day. I still feel pretty crap but working in being a better mummy again.

So far this has been sitting, having cuddles and listening to Emily who was troubled about one of her friends after their school trip - she had a brilliant time, everything was her favourite. But it was soured a little by a friend who didn't want to be partnered with her and spent the day pulling at Emily's coat and pinching her whenever she thought she could get away with it. Thankfully their teachers were on the ball but unfortunately in a bid not to give this girl her own way, they stayed partnered.

I made James angry birds buns to take to school and the twins have been happily crawling around while being chased - it's a great game!

Trips. I do hope you get to the iow. I'm sure you could do with the break and you've certainly had a difficult time lately. Change of scene and all that.

Shabs. I'm still chuckling at the fisherman's friends in the fridge. I know it's not that funny but you show your parents have such spirit when you write about them and I'm sure you are a chip off their block.

Mama - do you work for a private security firm or the likes of HMP? I'd be concerned with the night work more than the actual job. But concede it may well be less busy at night than days. I'd also be worried about going back earlier than I was intending to and having a problematic pregnancy. I guess if you go back when you intended to, you'd have a better idea of how the babies were progressing. Fingers tightly crossed for you.

Right. Off to bake some more cakes ready for the big twos birthday party in Sunday. Don't think I'll get away with them sharing a party next year.

triplets · 17/05/2013 21:40

Evening ladies, already in my bed. 2 glasses of Wine and I`ve had it! Another change of bedding again for dk ,that's the 3rd lot this week, I thought it would be better after they put the stitch in, but still leaking. It was abit sad y/day, James said he feels his Dad has been ill all his (James) life :( I am soooooo tired TGIF. xx

MultipleMama · 17/05/2013 22:58

Trips - That's heartbreaking to hear. Although one morning is "forever" for my 4 year old. Hope he gets better soon, and you can take a breather!

Sok - I work for HMR. I'll be working 9am - 2pm only 20h a week. I've got until the 8th July to decide as they want me to start 22nd July (I'd be nearly 21 weeks pregnant then) ultimately it's up to my consultant and whether I feel okay & babies okay.

shabbatheGreek · 18/05/2013 08:53

Morning girls xx

Oh Trips I think this is the only disadvantage of having children when we are older. Remember when you sent me a birth congratulations card when I had Tom? On the back of the envelope it said 'not one, not two BUT three!!' We were both so lucky to get our 'late' babies but our health is sometimes a drawback. I hope things soon brighten up for you and DK xxx

Doh mama! For some reason I read it as 9pm!

MultipleMama · 18/05/2013 14:30

Sok - where were you for dd's birthday! You could have done my cake and bags!

I baked a banana and blueberry cake this morning, and attempting my fondant skills for Tuesday when we surprise DF it's twins by cake :)

Dts1 is really clingy today so we're cuddled up on sofa while DH and DF have taken the others swimming. It's moments like these that remind me of times when we just had ds1 and the quietness of the house when he slept.

Hope everyone is having a good day.

Sokmonsta · 18/05/2013 17:56

Ha ha mama. Just popped on to let you know I'm banned for future birthdays. Dh's stress levels can't take it and he'd rather outsource all the work. (I'm still going to bake their cake though. It's the one thing which is really important to me.)

MultipleMama · 18/05/2013 19:48

Sok - Damn. Haha, I'm good at cupcakes but melted chocolate is my limit on cake decoration. So I'm out of my limit with decoration. However I love feeling proud when I've accomplished the cakes :)

Good luck with the party!! x

Unable to sleep, cramps are back and dts1 is refusing to settle, won't take breast, bottle, fights to stay awake and keeps waking dts2 up, I'm starting to think he's teething but refuses to let you put anything near his mouth.

triplets · 19/05/2013 00:30

Poor you MM send them here, I`ve still got a cot or three!! Hope things settle and you get some sleep, I am still listening to three noisy boys next door, sleep overs!!

Goodmorning.............Rubester hope you are still sleeping, I know that awful feeling only too well, not that mine is alcohol induced Wink .I am the only one awake, been raining but the sun is trying to come out. Feeling pretty despondant about our trip to the IOW, should be going a week today, its not fair is it? All the ops hes had for cancer and hes bounced back, a routine hernia op and he gets a blood clot, still draining after three weeks. I feel I would rather cancel it now, but dk says I am being negative. I need a break!

What a night! Dts1 finally passed out 5am in the co-sleeper after he finally managed to take the teething dummy and refusing to let anyone but my comfort him. However during the process he woke dts2 4 friggin times and DD twice. He is currently passed out on my chest and I'm ready to konk out too but promised DS we could hand paint.

Don't cancel Trips!

Happy birthday Soklets! [Smile]

DH says the same, ruby, so I've marked it on the calender and decided not to think or decide until mid June.

Evening ladies.......got 5 hours sleep last night, little sods, have worked non stop all day inc gardening, and had row with dd. All I asked her to do was tidy her room, I warned her if she didnt I would remove a row of her posters. There isnt a patch of wall, ceiling or cupboard to be seen for potters. She has just sat on her bed all day, listening to music, I asked her to help me change my bed, kingsize duvets are hard work, you should have heard her! By 5pm no sign of her room being done, I lost it and tore down one poster.............omg she was hysterical. I said she had been warned, she was to clean up and then she could come down and do some ironing for me.............she did..........in a fashion but that was ok. Then the doorbell went and it was her bf, I heard her tell her that I had ripped all her posters and was making her do all the work! The boys today were given their clean bedding and told from now on they change their own beds, why should I struggle with bunk beds? They did it no fuss. Am I being too hard? All I know is I feel like Cinderella atm, doing everything for everyone and I`m tired. No change with dk, drain still draining same amount :(

triplets · 19/05/2013 22:43

potters :o
