Morning, ladies.

I promise, Bubby to look after myself. Hope you enjoy the parks. I haven't been to Alton Towers since before Aubrey was born. I'm dying to try out all the new rides!

Shabs - you may just miss the storm, let's hope anyway! Urgh, don't remind me off packing. I don't even want to think about it.

Trips - Morning, lovely. I bet that's going to be fun for him. I hope he enjoys it.

Sok - Morning, what book are you reading? Aww, hope your DH get's better soon.

Took K and A to the park this morning, thankfully hassle free, except him tripping over running and scrapping his elbow.

The twins slept until 8am this morning instead 5/6am and I came home from the park to find DH juggling Dieter who was attacking his lip piercings while trying to stop Dom from pressing the keys on his laptop. Comical.

Off to Dad's for Sunday dinner and then off for my 3d scan at 3pm. So excited!

MultipleMama · 21/07/2013 12:12

I just bought a new tandem stroller... to be fair I did sell 3 of our pushchairs that we don't use and I bought it off ebay for a really good price and it'll be our only tandem. It came with chairs, carrycots, raincover and parasol. I'll blame the hormones!

MultipleMama · 21/07/2013 17:32

I come bearing good and bad news.

The good; I saw them on screen and they are beautiful. He was sucking his thumb and she was yawning with her arm above her head. They mean everything to me. 3d scans are so weird but I'd recommend the experience.

The bad; Sev, T1, has been diagnosed with severe onset IGUR. He hasn't grown much since my last stay. His fluid has slightly increased but they say that won't make much difference. They think it's something to do with his placenta and low and behold they found SUA. He is measuring at 19+3 as his sister measures at 20+6. My optimistic consultant has told me to prepare for a SB/early delivery which will risk her if I deliver early. It's a case of monitoring him, waiting and hoping for the best. The goal is to reach 28w were my delivery options will be discussed.

Dad is having the eldest two tonight. I can't stop crying and DH is very quiet. We're just on auto tonight.

bubby64 · 21/07/2013 20:08

Mama - hopefully there will be a good outcome, I didn't have SUA but I had T2T with my 2, and they were 29.2 when I had to have them, James was 2.2lb, Mike was 3.3lb, now look at them!

triplets · 21/07/2013 20:27

Oh Mama mixed feelings, tbh I don`t understand your acronyms, please can you explain. Its obviously very worrying, but you know t1 has just been a fighter all the way. xx

MultipleMama · 21/07/2013 21:04

Sorry, Trips. My laziness causes me to shorten. SUA means single umbilical artery. Thee don't know if it's cause as many babies with it grow normal and healthy but they think it's not helping the situation. He's my little champion so I'm refusing to give up :)

Bubby - Stories like yours give me hope. I'm taking no risks now, gunna be as careful and stress free as possible! DH is researching everything and doing his lists. It's his copying mechanism when he feels outta control. I'm just laid bed with my boys watching them sleep. :)

triplets · 21/07/2013 22:42

Mama, I was very lucky to have the most wonderful midwife who kept a very close eye on me. She told me when I got to 24 weeks I was to go to bed every day at 1pm and not get up till 5pm, didnt have to sleep just stay put. I know I was sort of lucky to be able to do that as I didnt have a child to look after, Matthew had died three years earlier:( Carrying three babies at my age was very risky, so I did as she said! They scanned me weekly from week 26 and all was well until around week 30. Baby number three was slowing down and they were getting concerned and I was scared something would happen. So they were delivered by C-section at 32 weeks, baby 1 weighed 4.2oz, baby 2 weighed 4.7oz and baby 3 weighed 2.15oz! No one needed any help breathing, only my tiny one went into an incubator to keep warm, and just over three weeks later they all came home :) I am sure that by resting it really helped them to gain a good weight, my tiny one is now the tallest at 6ft!

MultipleMama · 21/07/2013 23:03

That's really hopeful to know though heartbreaking about Matthew Flowers. I'm back to two weekly scans (they were hoping to put meon 4 weekly) and he said as long as both continue to grow and T1 doesn't show any signs of kidney heart problems then that's good news to hold on to. I've gotta keep my fluids up and eat more protein.

My dad is coming to stay with us, so he can help out and help with dc. I'm booked in for a fetal heart echo on 5th September. I may take a few pointers from you and nap during the day! DH has even offered to write me a routine down and set alarms for me a certain times to nap. I may accept his offer.

Chopstheduck · 22/07/2013 06:02

Morning girls x

sorry to hear that your scan produced mixed news. I agree though, you really must rest. NO more ICE SKATING!! I've never heard of SUA, so googled it and this seems quite optimistic really that the risks aren't as bad as they used to think they were. He is such a little fighter, hopefully everything will be fine xx

Last week before hols! got a few days now just with the three boys then dd finishes on weds.

Chopstheduck · 22/07/2013 06:03

Oh and I try to eat high protein - need the muscle for pole dancing! Eggs for breakfast, lots of fish and white meat and beans/pulses.

Morning!

Oh mama! Such mixed news. My Jennifer measured 2 weeks behind Joshua from about 20 weeks. They never did find a reason for it. Her fluids were very low from then too. They were born 36+5, Jennifer 4lb 4 and Joshua 5lb5. I went on maternity leave at 29 weeks and that was put down to them lasting in as long as they did - the elder 2 still went to preschool/nursery/grandparents so I was able to get plenty of rest. It was very scary having scans weekly (every other week with consultant and in between at maternity unit) and having them decide whether or not they would have to deliver then so you have my most heartfelt hugs.

MultipleMama · 22/07/2013 10:37

All these lovely stories are helping me try and stay positive but it's just so hard. DH asked me if I wanted him to break the contract with work so we could stay here, and that is so not what I want.

He and my dad have decided to do most of the work to avoid stressing me out, so apparently all I need to do is sign forms and look for houses to rent. Seems easy enough...

I explained to K, today, that baby Sev is not feeling well so mama has to rest to make them feel better. He asked if baby wanted a picture drawing (well that just set off the water works!)

How is everyone this lovely morning? Any plans?

triplets · 22/07/2013 12:18

Morning all, three kids at home already driving me demented! Mama can`t we have just the tiniest peek of the scan never seen a 3 d scan before. Someone said they are a funny yellow colour is that right? So we will have a new Royal baby by the end of the day, exciting:)

MultipleMama · 22/07/2013 13:25

I'll give you a tiny peak of Anneliese (name we've decided for T2), sorry it's so small but that's what a 3d scan looks like :)

MultipleMama · 22/07/2013 14:12

They're so weird, they do a normal scan first, then he "highlights" the area he wants and then he does his magic and it turns into a 3d one, he can twist it and turn it and take parts away to get better views. Really strange. We had one of each twin although Sev decided he didn't want to be photographed so not very clear, and then we got a video of it.

I think the baby will be born tomorrow, I think some people forget that labour can take days, and they said "early labor" this morning, so who knows. I'm looking forward to finding out the gender but not much else haha.

Chopstheduck · 22/07/2013 15:03

aww that's amazing, mama!

i reckon it will be weds. I had early labour for two/three days with my first.

triplets · 22/07/2013 16:02

awwwwwwwwwwwww Mama :) Thank you for sharing :)

MultipleMama · 22/07/2013 17:44

I don't know how long my early labor was! Lol hope everyone is having a lovely day. :)

MultipleMama · 22/07/2013 20:46

So, we have a royal baby boy!

Sokmonsta · 22/07/2013 22:08

Aww mama that picture is amazing.

Sokmonsta · 22/07/2013 22:10

Yay for baby boys!

bubby64 · 22/07/2013 22:23

One more day of school, then finally into the 6 week holiday, Note to self, remember to email school to ask them to keep an eye out for Js PE kit, lost 3 weeks ago! If not found, it will mean the 3rd time a replacement is required at about £70 a time when you include a cheap pair of trainersSad Mike has lost 2 sets, now James one. I kept on at them to use their lockers, but the say they have no time to get to them at the end of the day as they have just 5minutes to get to the buses!
Mama -Please rest and eat the right things, it will be ok, I'm sureWink
Chops - have you got everything ready for your hols, or is it still all to do?
Shabs - Good luck for your flight Wednesday, hope the storms hold off and you have a wonderful, much deserved timeGrin
Hi Trips.
Soks - did the lsying of the glooring go ok?

Congrats to the royal couple on their baby boy, but I xam glad hes finally arrived, as i have been getting a bit fed up of the constant "no news"update storiesSmile

MultipleMama · 22/07/2013 22:38

Tonight I have been pampered. A friend came to do my hair, DH filled up our bubbly tub with petals and smellies, I got a massage and a cold glass of shloer to watch with my movie.

I turn 21 weeks tomorrow :)

Bubby - I promise. Are you looking forward to the holidays? I bet the boys are!

Sok/Trip/Chops - She's a precious gem, can't wait to meet her and compare to scan haha.
