Ah, Mama, I think it's only fair really! I couldn't have kept quiet neither.

HOWDEE RUBES!! Grin

Chopstheduck · 19/07/2013 15:07

I think dtd IS twin daughter. Otherwise I have been very naive! Grin

Chopstheduck · 19/07/2013 15:09

ah I shouldn't have skim read! I read it as 'dtd and we (are) discussing...'

Realised what it stood for now!!!

Chopstheduck · 19/07/2013 15:09

I've been out in the heat too much, I tell you. Ran 4 miles this morning - in this it is not good!

shabbatheGreek · 19/07/2013 15:24

I'm sorry these hormones are driving me crazy making me talk all unmotherly! Lol. DTD are how babies are made Wink

... I just over shared again didn't I?

I wish I could get back to running and Ice Hockey. Although I secretly do skate at K's practice. Not that DH's knows this Hmm.

Howdee Ruby! Hope you're having a blast! :)

Chopstheduck · 19/07/2013 15:42

I got a groupon deal to take the kids iceskating. Was going to take them next week, but have decided not to tempt fate and wait til AFTER our holiday. Already had one holiday with a child in plaster, don't want to risk THAT again!

shabbatheGreek · 19/07/2013 16:11

My Gawd Mama - you are certainly more 'active' in many things than I was when I was carrying my twins!!!! Frumpy Grumpy used to say I was as mad as a bag of pink frogs but I am handing over my title to you LOL!!

OP posts:
MultipleMama · 19/07/2013 16:42

LOL! We can share it! I have a child or two going spare tomorrow, would you like one? They're house trained... almost!

I don't know why but DH seems to think I'm energetic once the 1st trimester passes. Apparently I'm restless always wanting to do something, I can't just "take it easy."

Note to self: Do not chase after the dog, it's not just your boobs that bounce anymore!

Chops - I've been skating since I was 3 and broke a fair few bones (cracked 2 ribs, bruised pelvis, 3 broken fingers, left wrist twice, skull fracture, oh and a tore ligament in my ankle, I'm sure I even managed to dislocate my shoulder too) I have sympathy for your LO! Haha.

triplets · 19/07/2013 18:20

Now getting very fed up trying to find a holiday, I refuse to spend good money for the sake of it, there is so little choice for families of 5. Now got my heart set on a cruise, just to be able to turn up at the dock then be looked after, no carrying bags, no entertaining kids and NO cooking, a proper break. Phone all the leading companies, only being offered silly prices.

triplets · 19/07/2013 18:22

Mama absolutely no skating Shock your dh would go mad!!

MultipleMama · 19/07/2013 18:46

I'm teaching A how to skate so I'm only in the small rink and hardly skating around. DH would go crazy if he knew hence not telling him. I fell once when carrying A and broke my wrist and he's been over protective about skating while PG since. Even though I was still skating at 36w when PG with K and didn't fall once. I'm making excuses, I know, crap ones at that but it's only 4 times a month.

Sokmonsta · 19/07/2013 21:41

Howdee rubes. Hope you are having a blast.

Mama/chops. I had to laugh at dtd. WhoopsBlush

We're doing good here at the mo. bigs are at nana and Grandads as we're laying new flooring in the lounge tomorrow. I say we. My main job tomorrow is entertaining the babies and feeding/supplying drinks to dh and a couple of friends.

Trips. I feel your holiday pain. We're a family of 6 and when we've looked at most places we would have to book 2 rooms, split the dc 50/50 and pay twice as much. I still want us to go camping but we don't even have the spare money at the moment for that. Am hoping dh can sort his accounts so the top up money hmrc would have given us for tax credits last year will be paid and that will be a holiday for us all.

Babies are still flagging in the heat. But with the odd exception they are being good. Had them in the paddling pool at my parents on Thursday. Jennifer enjoyed it for all of 5 minutes before trying to climb out. Joshua was happy as anything in there as long as I left him. He's a real water baby. Throws himself round the bath and half terrifies me. But giggles the whole time he's slipping and sliding.

Mama how's your walking tot?

MultipleMama · 19/07/2013 22:16

Haha.

I have two walking tots now, although Dieter isn't as confident he's taking after his brother. Both refusing stroller, but so proud of them. They're getting bolder every day. :)

Trips/Sok - I'll be having six, and even with 4, booking a holiday is a pain in the ass especially as they're young and certain airlines have that stupid 1:2 rule. I just hating booking!

Sok - Are you doing the supervising making sure everything is fitted right and correctly? LOL.

Morning girls xx

MultipleMama · 20/07/2013 09:49

Morning, Shabs.

So furious this morning. Please tell me if I'm wrong.

K and twins woke up at 6am so decided to leave A with DH and take them for a walk. When we got there, there was a group of lads and girls aroind 13-16 hanging by the swings. After awhile K wanted to go on the swings (baby ones) asked them politely if they would move. One said, "no." I asked them again saying "he's 4 and these are child swings" he smugly replied that he was 14 and a child too." I then angrily told him to move or I'll make him. K by this point was crying because he couldn't have a swing. A girl gave up her seat.

A few quiet minutes later they said talking again about no 13 should be talking about (shagging, fucking etc.) I voiced up again and asked politely that they watch their terminology around my LOs. The little shit from before said it was a free country and he could "fucking swear if he fucking wanted" and that they were there first. I decided to take K and go to a different park with a very upset K.

Was I wrong to mention anything and ask them to move? Did I cause K to become upset by subjecting him to that. Or was I wrong in assuming oler kids would have some manners.

DH is fuming because K told DH that "a mean boy sweared at mama".

It's just bugging me.

Anyway, hope you're all going to have a wonderful day :)

shabbatheGreek · 20/07/2013 10:02

I would have knocked them off the swings to be honest - but there again I am a post menopausal owd nowty git!!!

Sokmonsta · 20/07/2013 10:16

Oh mama! Some children just aren't brought up to care. You were perfectly right to challenge them on their behaviour. I've no qualms in doing the same but a lot if the parks we use have age guidance on them so if the younger dc want to play on something and can't I politely point out the signs.

Today is the great floor laying in the lounge! Guys have been here since half 8 so breakfasted and cracking on. I packed away all the small things yesterday so all they had to do first thing was remove the furniture and tv etc from the lounge. Our garden currently looks like its been fly tipped! Fingers crossed it doesn't rain. It's not supposed to...

bubby64 · 20/07/2013 11:39

Mama - I have challanged kids in the padt for thrir behaviour and language around my boys ehen they were little. You were right to do so. In my case, they got off and moved away, swearing and muttering whilst doing so, but they fid move. Difference is i live in a rural area, and the town I was visiting was not that big. The kids in the village wouldn't dare behave like that as, to a certain extent, everyone knows everyone, or at least, they know someone who knows everyone, iyswim.
You tell me to take care, and you are ice skating!!!Shock Please be careful!!
Soks - Glad you are getting your floor done with little work for yourself, just supervise them well, so everything is as you want it.Grin

Good news here, I have just won a family ticket to a local (ish) theme park, so we will be hoing there during the summer hols as well as Alton Towers - I will be theame-parked out by the end of these hols, but boys very excited now.Grin

triplets · 21/07/2013 06:27

Sokmonsta · 21/07/2013 07:15

Morning. Been awake a while here too. Thought I'd catch up on some reading. Dh is poorly today and the children are currently throwing books around! Off to get them back on the shelves.
