Morning ladies.

Hope you have fun, Ruby!

I am exhausted, today. Twins had a bad night constantly waking each other up every bloody hour plus it was too warm so decided to strip off their vests and leave 'em in gdiapers. K woke up around 3am demanding cuddles and A had a night terror.

DF is coming round today with my cousin so we can take all kids swimming.

Yippee Kai Aey RubesGrin Grin Grin Have a great trip!
Soks - this weather is lovely, but it is difficult for then little ones to get comfortable.
Mama - thanks for getting to 20 weeks.
Shabs- how is your Dad, is he healing ok?
Trips - and how are you feeling, and id dh any better?
Chops - it won't be long before you are off to now, is it?

Managed costumes- james went as a WW2 spiv (fedora hat, kipper tie and a box saying "black market goods"
Mike went as a crusader, old teeshirt with sleeves cut off ans a red cross painted on, sword and a plastic helmet picked up in fancy dress shop for £2.50, I wentbout and picked strawberries for their contribution to the food, and they were happy.
I have had the good fortune to have been offered 10 AdHoc shifts over the next month, just when we need the cash, so am working 4 jobs and 7 days a week at the moment, luckily, the new oncall job I am doing at weekends is a lot less stressful than the one I used to do.I am trying to rest ankle when I can, but it is swelling quite badly at the moment, but getting us back on a stable financial footing is a priority for me at the moment, as I was getting very anxious about our money situation. I am also hoping that this AdHoc work will lead to a regular booking, especially as the factory concerned is very convenient as its right next door to where I already work. They have had no regular nurse there for over a year, which has led to a backlog of health surveillance issues.

Mama - that was meant to be FlowersGrin

Took Dad (and Mum) back to A & E this morning for his dressing to be changed. Doctor is pleased with how he is healing and has discharged him - the District nurses who already look after him are going to take over his care now. Doctor told him how lucky he had been....think that has to be understatement of the century!!!!

Apart from changes in the shape of his face around his mouth you would not know how seriously ill he is. They warned us that the cancer would take his entire jaw bone the longer he survived the bastard disease. Just subtle changes every few days. He is dark chocolate brown - has been sitting in the garden for hours and is still my handsome Dad xx

We talked about how worried I was about going away on holiday next week and I feel a bit better about it all. I have organised everything I can for them and my friend Chelle is going to ring them every other day to check on them. Still scared of leaving them though.

Evening all...............guess Rubester is high in the sky :)
Shabs glad to hear you df is on the mend, and they will be fine, its just two weeks for you to recharge, they will be happy or you that you have managed to go............no more guilt!
Had a hot and tiring day today on our school trip with my Tiny Tigers. Arrived at Dymchurch and were supposed to be met by the firemen, not there, so we walked the kids to their station. It was all locked up, not a firemans pole insight!! We txt them and got no reply. So we ended up taking the kids on the sandy beach for two hours which they loved. When we were waiting in line at the train station one of my lads looked up at a very elderly lady and said, "scuse me, blimey your hair looks like a ghosts" Blush
Coming back on the coach the same lad sat next to me and wanted me to hold his hand. He put his head on my shoulder and said, "Mrs Peace I really love you and would marry you but you`re too old for me"!! :o I love it all!

shabbatheGreek · 17/07/2013 23:03

Beautiful song Shabs.

Morning lovely ladies.

MultipleMama · 18/07/2013 18:15

Hey, everyone.

Lovely song, Shabs :) Glad your dad's hand is healing nicely.

Bubby - don't go wearing yourself out. Find time to rest that ankle, okay.

So, early this evening I found myself in hospital. I'd been having braxton hicks all morning and made the mistake of telling DH who was adamant I go get checked out in case T1 has decided to come early. Now he made me worry! DF looked after kids, I got checked out and it is indeed braxton hicks and while I was having a scan (checking fluid levels etc). T1 gave me a powerful kick which gave the dr a good view of the sex.

I've decided not to tell DH and let him find out the genders on Sunday but it's killing me because I know! I'm dying to just grab him and tell him but he's been looking forward to the 3d scan.

Do you ladies wanna know? (just say yes so I don't go crazy with happiness LOL)

shabbatheGreek · 18/07/2013 18:29

Shabs - Your parents will be fine. Enjoy your holiday, I'm sure your parents want you to as well.

Chopstheduck · 19/07/2013 07:41

Oh boy girls twins!!! How lovely and exciting! GrinGrin
How are you managing to keep that under your hat?!

last day at school for the boys today. I cannot wait til 8pm tonight, and have the wine chilling already. We have an extra one for tea 2n, then the boys have cubs, then it's all FINISHED for the summer holidays!! I'm thinking of taking the kids geocaching after school, has anyone ever tried it? Seems like a good fun way to get them out walking.

I'm trying to work my exercise in around the kids. I took them to the park yesterday after school to play some tennis, but the dts hogged the rackets HmmGrin The I stood on a bee and it stung my foot!! (was wearing flipflops)

Morning Girlies. I am sitting here with my breakfast cornflakes (with strawberries on top, yum) in a state of amazement. The boys have gone to school, and when I went over the pre-departure check list, they had done everything and got everythingShock Shock Shock. I t has taken a whole year for us to reach this state of grace, will it all be forgotten over the summer hols, and we start the whole irritating process again, or will they start the new term with the finally hard won lesson ingrained in their psyche? Have a good day AllGrin Grin Grin

MultipleMama · 19/07/2013 12:20

Morning ladies!

Hope your LO are enjoying their last day at school. This will be K's last school day in England! We decided to leave him out of school and put him daycare with A on Mon/Fri if we're not in Germany by September.

I got busted in less than 24 hours. I have no poker face whatsoever.

"Morning, baby. "

"You know, don't you?"

"Know what?"

"Don't play coy with me. You were always shit at keeping things from me."

"Fine. I know."

"So, tell me."

Busted! I told him, we DTD and now we are discussing baby traits over strawberries and raspberries.

We are DC free until 5pm and DH has today off work so enjoying quality time with Dh :) I'm so lucky.
