Hi Thanks Shabs, you need to put that on repeat and available to all us ladies in distressGrin. LG&T, been here almost a year now, i have ID boys who were 12yrs last week and who are becoming "Kevins" very quickly, a DH with Aspergers and a mum with altzheimers, as well a part time job, and now due to have a major op on a dicky ankle in January. Trying to stay up beat, but failing miserably at the moment. I will pick myself up and brush myself down, plaster the smile back on and get on with things soon, promise!!

Where'd you go?

Sokmonsta · 15/12/2012 04:58

Morning!

J&J look utterly adorable in their glasses. Joshua has a mine Heston/penfold look going on, keeps them on nicely most of the time. I think it was was only yesterday that he realised he could take them off so 3 days isn't bad. Jennifer on the other hand, well unless she's in her snowsuit, they don't stay on for longer than 5 minutes. And then she eats them! Although I think hope it's more to do with a bodge alteration. They had to cut a good inch off the end of the arms for her so we're waiting on a properly altered pair being sent out. Shouldn't be too long though.

trips there is definitely unrest in the air. Can't quite put my finger on it but I had my meds doubled yesterday so hoping I get some relief that way ponders full moon theory even though there isn't one at the moment

Xmas Sad where is Dr Shabs? I am very very poorly. Felt unwell whilst cooking fish n chips last night, pushed my plate away as I just didnt fancy it. Went up to bed and by 9pm I started vomiting and I havent stopped since. Only been downstairs for an hour tonight but gave in and back to bed. Got lots of pain in my stomach and every bone is aching. Havnt felt so unwell for a very long time. Not one child has put their head round the door to ask if I am feeling better, and H has been up and down asking what to feed the children! The chink of light today was a parcel arrived from the Secret Santa, vouchers, £30 worth <img loading="lazy" class="inline-flex mumsnet-emoji" alt="Xmas Shock" src="https://www.mumsnet.com/build/assets/fshock-U_wvXlGW.png"> sweets and a lovely tin of shortbread, I cried...........the card was signed Babooshka and family. I havent got a clue who she is but she has brightened my day. Hope no one else gets this bug it is awful Xmas Sad

Tom has his second ear infection in 3 weeks Trips - we all have heavy colds but luckily no throwing up here. Hope you soon feel better. Your secret santa sounds fantastic - you deserve it love xx

triplets · 15/12/2012 23:01

Thank you Rubes have posted my thanks, arent people kind? I dont feel I deserve it, thereare many of us on here who have struggled with life. This has been an awful year though, I found my mums last Christmas card to us and have put it up on the fireplace along with my Dads last funny one to me and Matthews last card Xmas Sad This pain in my stomach is crippling, I never usually pick up bugs............hopefully it won`t last long. Night all. xx

triplets · 15/12/2012 23:03

Thank you Shabs and xx to Tom poor thing.

bubby64 · 16/12/2012 00:54

Trips you sound as if you have norovirus (winter vomiting bug), rest and as much fluids as you can tolerate are the only thing you can do. Hope you are on the mend soon. Oh, and your Secret Santa sounds lovely!
Shabs get well wishes to Tom as well.
Soks the glasses sound adorable, good luck with keeping them on tho, lol.
Ruby I would love to meet and chat, I just worry about you running over here when I know you have a lot going on yourself, and I don't want to put you out just because I am having a bit of a "Oh woe is me.." episode,

Morning girls xx

triplets · 16/12/2012 09:38

Goodmorning girls. A restless night, my whole body feels battered and bruised. Slept on and off then was woken at 6.40am by the phone ringing, staggered out of bed to pick it up and it went dead. Got back in bed and it rang again. "Is that Mrs Peace, it C O Hobbs-East from the ATC, Cadet T Peace is down as a reserve to go flying today, we have a space, can he be ready in a few minutes?" He isnt even here he stayed at his mates last night. Thank goodness I did the decs last w/end, usually do them a weeks before, wont be doing much today. How long does this virus last Bubbs?

bubby64 · 16/12/2012 14:53

Usually a few days, sometimes as long as a week, it varies Trips, sorry I can't be more precise.
DB came over for a swift unannounced visit today, he looked down his nose at the untidiness that surrounded him Sad he came as I was sorting a load of things we had taken from boys room, and i was deciding charity or dump, plus i had the clean but unironed wasing sitting in living room as my next job washing, DH was removing also sorting dining room, and we had all stopped to eat lunch.
He always makes me feel inadequate, and DH wants to bop him on the nose for the condersending way he speaks to me, so you can imagine theatmosphere. He hasn't come over to our house for over a year, so we were surprised to see him, and he caught us on the back foot.

morning girls x

Hope you are feeling better today, trips.

I feel rough. Full of cold, back ache and the kids woke me at the crack of dawn charging around and screaming. Plus I've to pick the dts up at 12 today because the school are going off to the church, and the dts don't do church. Want my bed!!!

Chopstheduck · 17/12/2012 07:41

bubby, a bop on the nose sounds wholly appropriate Grin
