I diagnose you have 'pissed off syndrome' Trips Grin

Tom now has earache - so sick of this bloody house - its like an outpatients department!

triplets · 12/12/2012 21:45

What prescription would you advise doctor?

shabbatheGreek · 12/12/2012 21:58

A tall dark handsome young lad, a candlelit dinner in the restaurant in Lindos with the outdoor eating area on the roof.....and then some rumpy pumpy.....

Easy!!

triplets · 12/12/2012 22:10

shabbatheGreek · 12/12/2012 23:17

Here I am at 5am. Couldn't sleep, mind going in circlesSad. I had a letter from hospital last night, they want to bring op forward to 7th Jan, normally this would have been fine, but I have now organised a belated birthday swimming party for the boys on Sat 12th, DH is never going to manage 35 11-12yr olds by himself, and I have already sent out invites & paid for it. Also paid for my choir Xmas meal on 8th, tho I should be able to get that back. SH has already booked 16th off, I had told work, and on top of that, there is still the problem with my mum to sort. Really don't know what to do now, Christmas is coming, I'm working long days up to 20th, no decorations up, only 1/2 presents bought, and no food bought at all. Where am I going to get the time to do everything? Also DH still has not done anything about a handrail by our (very steep) front doorsteps. HELP!

bubby, do you have the option to tell them it isn't possible? that is far too short notice for such a long recuperation period, just tell them you can't change everything that quickly.

Grin @ trips and shabs last night!

I've done all my Xmas shopping except for I want to go and get some xmassy jumpers from Primark if they have any left! Otherwise dh will be going down the west end in his lunch break. Everything is organised, but I just don't feel very christmassy yet. I think so far it all seems a bit understated compared to last year, and not much to get excited about yet!

largeginandtonic · 13/12/2012 12:54

I did it. Was mammoth effort. She talks A LOT though and I wanted some peace.

largeginandtonic · 13/12/2012 12:56

I WANT them to be home! I can sit in bed while they bring me tea then!

Anyhoo. What's the low down?

The inlaws will be here soon...

Chopstheduck · 13/12/2012 14:40

hmm, my lovely older ones will bring me coffee, my youngest will bring toast (hopefully remembering that buttering it BEFORE toasting is not a valid shortcut) and then wreck the house!

I will be glad to see the back of school runs for a couple of weeks though.

bubby64 · 13/12/2012 22:46

Hi Alll. In slightly better frame of mind, I need to get this leg sorted, i need to look after myself for a bit. I managed to re-book the party for the 5th, and have printed out new revised invites for the boys to hand out, some mums have already called to confirm and I have told them of the date change and its not a problem. and my DBros need to understand that, for a little while at least, they have to look after mum. Work was ok about it, and DH and the boys are going to have cope. Christmas will come whether I am ready or not, so I'll just have to do what I can.

Thanks for the kind words TripsThanks
Well, been on-line, done a lot of ordering, and if it all arrives in time, I've got all presents sorted!!
DH said he will get the decs down tonight and we'll decorate tomorrow.
M's train has arrived at Ipswich Argos, thanks to the power of Mnet, so getting it today, so even if small items don't arrive in time, the two main ones are here, and DH has already had his in the form of an upgraded memory and graphics card in his gaming computer, which I took in and had fitted last week. Being un imaginative with DNieces and nephews, giving high street gift cards for them to chose themselves as they are all teenagers. Things are coming together, the only thing left to be sorted is mum, and I really have no control over this at the moment, so will try to go with the flow.
