I see Mars, Mommalove, and LG&T around on fb, but no sign of FG :( Anyone remember meeley2? I met her on here, and we still talk lots, she had another boy, who is now 3 I think.

Derkster - Santa - he will be something if he doesn't get off his lazy arse and help me with anything to do with this house.....'Get me up in the morning and I will look after Lew for an hour (Lew has yet another heavy, snotty cold and temperature) I cant see the point in waking DK up so he can do it...

I remember mars (and even spoke to her on the actual telephone once!) also tkband3, neenz and another poster who had 5 like me but I can't for the life of me remember her name . Also lg&t and ester too. We were quite a busy little bunch on here 3 years back! I never did FB with anyone here I don't think but haven't visited it for a while because it scares me, or rather, some of the people I know there scare me. Maybe I should log back on and have a spring clean.

Christmas party sounds like a plan! At the moment my living room looks more like the island of sodor than anywhere for festivities!

Think they all deserted Mumsnet, although for me it wasn't a desertion, just not enough hours in the day! Am on hols this week though in freeezing cold Spain....at least it's a bit warmer than the UK!

CHops - red light district in Harrogate? I'd love to know where that bit is! Hee hee! Trips not surprised about the one cake five forks at Bettys, it is extortionate, but lovely.....a friend of mine used to work there when we were still at school, she used to bring a box full of cakes back on a Sunday night when they were going to be thrown in the bin....yum! Those were the days...

Fuck. Spoke too soon. a spot appeared yesterday. A big one. Looked yuk this morning then James knocked it the bath so it popped. Several more have since appeared. Joshua has a spot on his bottom. Am watching it closely as both he and Jen have been off it the last few days .

Doesnt feel like Weds tonight.............dunno why I said that really [hconfused] you are going to miss my late night ramblings as we are off to Suffolk tomorrow for 3 nights with dks sister and co. Looks like a lovely old house, 5 bedrooms, 70 yards from the pub! We are doing a Halloween party tomorrow night for the kids and guess whos cooking? Shabs well do the invitations when I get back! xx

Hope they are ok soks!

I'm all worn out, but I think the kids had the best halloween ever! We went to westfield, dropped the older two off at the cinema to see Hotel Transylvania (which is apparently very good) and then took the younger two to to catch a Hummer limousine to a Monster High party! The party was ace, really looked after everyone, cupcakes, coffees with hearts in the froth, the stars of the film were there, they got halloween hair, makeup, potion making. The boys were on a high all day! [hgrin]

Then we dashed home, lit the pumpkin and went trick or treating. The kids are now comparing their hauls, since dd and ds1 both went with their friends, and the dts came with us. I was exhausted after all that, and packed them off to bed and had a posh Chinese takeaway with crispy soft shelled crab!

Today, football training and grocery shopping. Is it nearly term time again yet....please?!

First Lew AND Tom are on half term.
Cope with the arguing, wrestling, feeding, providing drinks etc etc etc
Then Lew ill AGAIN
Lew here at 7am - 'helping' to get Tom up....arguing, messing with Toms 'stuff', falling out with each other ALL before 7.45
Lew back to school today.
Tom sets the scene last night about how he doesn't feel well!!
Tom coughs all night.
Go to wake Tom up.....pale as a ghost but with a allergy type rash!!

Wake up Tom its time for school..... I dont feel well.
Flounce out of his bedroom, come down, ring school.

My God I am so sick of my lot. I feel like a sponge that soaks up all their illnesses, moaning, selfishness etc etc etc. Just glad I have only ONE teenager at home. I bow down before you ladies!!

Tom was fine - as soon as he knew he was officially off school Went through Facebook with a fine tooth comb - yes, I have his password, and he knows I do. Checked all through his messages - nothing bad (for a change). Then noticed one of the girls in year 10 lost her battle with cancer a couple of days ago. The outpouring of grief amongst the kids was overwhelming. Dont think he fancied being in the middle of it. He has gone in today, muttering and moaning and, admittedly, still coughing. He has saved over £40 for a new PS3 wrestling game that comes out today......has reserved it at Game in Bolton. Told him - NO SCHOOL, NO GOING INTO BOLTON TONIGHT.....weird how bribery works.

Lol, at least normality has resumed!

It's very silent here too. I'm sitting in car while the boys are tearing up a football pitch. Very nice! I did plan to go into town but sat in traffic for 45 mins then gave up!

Ice Age was brilliant, would well recommend it. More circusy than I expected with a lot of acrobatic type acts. The kids loved it.

Today I shall mostly be ironing, while the boys are off to see Bond. Then off out tonight MINUS kids

Morning. Though it feels like afternoon!

The Spot multiplied. Poor James is covered head to toe, in his ears, on his lips and some spectacularly large ones on his fingers (which he keeps asking me to take off). Joshua's spot disappeared. But he has viral and fungal rashes. Jennifer is coughing like she has a really bad smokers cough, sounds like she's going to throw up or cough out a lung. I am shattered after a very disturbed night. Dh did his bit but I woke earlier than normal ( just after midnight as opposed to 2am) and then couldn't get back to sleep.

Poor kids, soks! We've had a viral cough thing with temperature, lethargy, etc. going round our house. dd was off school for most of a week with it, was not nice at all. Hope they are all better soon.

It is horrible out here today. Absolutely bucketing it down! Really hope it dries up before the fireworks later. Will def be welly weather - field is going to be a swamp.
