Here, miss! Grin
Been meaning to catch up, this thread moving so fast atm!

been pretty busy really, conping, shopping, ironing, more ironing, laundry, more ironing. Doesn't help when the kids keep leaving things screwed up in various corners and not putting them in the laundry.

Plus I spent one afternoon int he kitchen cooking indian food and yesterday making fresh coriander pasta with crab, chilli, lime and tequilia and goats cheese, spinach and walnut ravioli.

The kids are mostly being little sods and I am so glad it is Friday! Off to Chessington tomo, courtesy of Merlin's wish, that gives tickets to families where there is a child with disability.

Bubby, you need a long bath and Wine I tell dd to print out things at the school rather than home, there are printers in the library they can use, might be worth asking?

Trips, sorry to hear the crap news, hope things are picking up and he is ok. Did you sell the tent? Weren't you due to have tooth sorted? I don't have that problem any more cos I have no teeth! GrinWink

shabs, good for Lew, sounds like it got sorted. You must be missing him.

shabbatheGreek · 14/09/2012 15:11

I do miss him to be honest. He is coming tomorrow night for a sleepover Grin and is bringing his first reading book that he got for 'homework' this afternoon LOL. Looking forward to snuggling up with him - he does good snuggle ups!!

triplets · 14/09/2012 15:12

Hooooooooooooooooooorayyyyyyyyyyy the dreaded tailer tent is gone! Lovely young couple from Chatham came this morning and really really wanted it, £600 didnt even try to offer us less! Tooth appt next Tues, 40 mins in the chair gazing into the eyes of the charismatic new dentist:) Really worried about my brother, I just hope they dont keep him waiting long for the next scan.

triplets · 14/09/2012 15:18

Hiya Shabs.............guess what? Hospital just phoned up to say James has fractured his thumb after all, they need to see him again but haven`t got an appt until the 25th!!!!!!!!!

shabbatheGreek · 14/09/2012 15:30

Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww it will have healed by then Trips. Tom has awful ingrowing toenail problems again. They have decided to remove the entire nail Envy yuck. We had an appointment with them on the 20th August and they said they will send for him for the op asap.....NO, still not heard anything. His toe is massive, bright red and very tender.

bubby64 · 14/09/2012 15:53

Trips, can't he go To the emergency fracture clinic Trip, they should have one every weekday??

triplets · 14/09/2012 15:59

He did go there on Mon, they x-rayed it and have now decided it is broken!!

bubby64 · 14/09/2012 16:21

Then he should be seen back there on Monday, not left for a fortnight, it sounds like he has a fractured scaphoid and he should be put in a cast.

triplets · 14/09/2012 23:20

Thanks Bubs, he does seem fine, has been to band practise tonight, it was his thumb that got kicked, it was swollen, that has now gone down and its bruised. Big party just ended next door, boys 15th b/day.............street full of girls and boys making a racket!
Was a good girl all week attempting to lose some weight before the meet up, bad girl tonight, fish and chips and just had half a bar of whole nut chocolate.......oh well. Night night everyone xx

shabbatheGreek · 15/09/2012 01:44

triplets · 15/09/2012 07:37

Goodmorning girls, the sun is shining again:)
Thanks Shabs, you know how they are going to be feeling, to celebrate a birthday and be happy for one, and to be aching with sadness, and missing the other:( She is such a beautiful person, even looking at her photo you can see there is something very special about her, not only in the physical sense. Got boys to drag out of bed, Battle of Britain Parade today in Sandwich. James can`t wait, loves all the pomp, but as for Thomas...............there will be a row!

Looking for a shabby shelf for my bathroom!!

Hi, seems i am in the wrong again, boys fighting over xbox, so I took the cable away, they now hate me, DH is fed up as they are now in a foul mood, and to be honest, I have got the sherry out, had a huge slug, and dont care!
This family are making me into a potential alchoholic, as it seems to be one of the few things I can do to calm down. It used to be walking the dogs, but that is a little hard at the moment, otherwise they would be having their legs walked off. Is it me, or does it seem to get harder the older they get, and, to be frank, their attitude since starting High School sucks!

triplets · 17/09/2012 00:03

This sounds like my house-hold! The diff being I have a very grumpy husband too! I would love to say it will get better, my three are a nightmare atm.But then of course I forget.............they know everything:o

shabbatheGreek · 17/09/2012 00:25

Morning girls xx

Oh Rubester I hate that happening.

Chopstheduck · 17/09/2012 07:28

Morning girls. I was hauled out very early this morning, by DH wanting a lift to work - bloody car wouldn't start! It's not even that old, but seems to be getting very unreliable. So I am very tired!

Bubby, I'm sure they do! I so fed up with dd atm. She is just so lazy and doesn't want to do anything other than play with her friends or sit in front of screens. She pretended to be sick thurs. I wasn't convinced and after missing breakfast and lunch (no, dd you can't possibly eat if you are feeling sick Grin) she finally confessed at 3pm.

Chessington was great though. It was brilliant - dd and ds1 went off on their own, we met up for a picnic lunch and everyone had a great time. They loved the independence and we loved just having two kids to watch.

bubby64 · 17/09/2012 12:28

Glad to be at work, its becoming a haven of relative peace! Got really stressed last night over stupid things like them not getting everything ready for school this morning, I asked them to do it numerous times, they then lied and said "yes, its all done", then I find both their planners, M's homework and J's text book lying around the house at 8pm. I knew that if I didnt sort it out then, there would be chaos, temper tantrums and tears this morning before school/work! I (again) lost it and started to yell at themBlush. This is becoming a habit that I want to stop, but they are driving me bonkers!Sad.
DH said he is going to have a sit-down talk with them this evening, as he doesn't like seeing me so stressed, he is usually the "stressy" one, whereas I try to stay calm, but they are honestly doing my head in! I just hope it gets taken on board.
I am reading a book at the moment by Sue Townsend(of Adrian Mole fame), about a mother of twins who have just left for university, so she decideds to stay in bed for a year to rest! I can totally see where this woman is coming from!!

Chopstheduck · 17/09/2012 14:34

I've been having barnys with mine over uniform laying around. I got so fed up with it, it is simple now, if I find any clothes laying around, no video games the following day. I've also been confiscating anything else laying around. They soon panicked when they saw their school books heading for the confiscation bag!

It's a bit hit and miss but we are getting there slowly I think. Having said that, it's Monday today, and mine are always at their worst on a Monday evening - god knows why!

bubby64 · 17/09/2012 17:22

Mantra is "Uniform off, polo-shirt in wash basket, hang up trousers and sweatshirt, shoes in shoe tidy, get into scruffs" keep saying it, sometimes there is a flash of understanding and its done, more often than not, tho, I continue with the mantra unheard! Grin

shabbatheGreek · 18/09/2012 08:16
