Mike said the other day "what have we done to upset God?" and I said "nothing love, things are just sent to test our faith", but I am starting to wonder myself now, I will pray for you and yours tho Trips, can't hurt and may help

shabbatheGreek · 13/09/2012 22:32

Im here Miss Trips!! xxx

My dentist prodded my gums with a sharp pointy thing - declared that I had some sort of gum disease. She said 'do you smoke' 'Yep I do' 'Well its causing gum disease' 'Oh OK!!' If I had said I didn't smoke she would have blamed it on my weight Grin I now have a very impressive big blister thing on my gum where she prodded it really hard....swooshing mouthwash on it inbetween having a sneaky cig.

triplets · 13/09/2012 22:40

Ha ha................here you are and about time too! Well done Bubby boys, quite right to make Mum proud:) Sorry Bubs about your ankle, bodies/teeth are such a pain! Just posted on the health thread about my poor brother, so scare for him:(
Shabs, how is Lew settling in to school, is he just mornings atm?

bubby64 · 13/09/2012 22:49

Couldn't get on much earlier, all boys homework seems to be on the computer, and, having only one laptop is causing stress! Can't afford another at the moment, can't even afford to replace all the printer ink they are using!

shabbatheGreek · 13/09/2012 22:56

Lew was mornings last week, afternoons this week and full time as from Monday. He is the youngest child in Reception!!! He loves all of it except playtime. One of the older kids asked him why was he being a softie and crying at play time. Angry Lew said 'Cause I want my Mummy' - the kid replied (and he is only 6) 'I want your Mummy she is fit!!!!' - lew told Danny a few days later and Danny went berserk. I told him to get into school and make his feelings known, and that if he didn't I would. He went in and reported it - clever Lew knew the boys name and what he looked like. Weirdly enough it hasen't happened this week!!!!

triplets · 13/09/2012 23:15

Honestly! We have had no tears so far from our new little ones, I find that amazing. They were a little more confident and therefore noisy this week! One little girl has reall latched onto me, she wants me to do things with her and her only all the time. I had to say to her on Thurs that she had to go back to her table and finish her picture and that when it was finished I would come over and see it. She pouted, put her hand on her hip and said firmly and loudly
"Life just isn`t fair sometimes"!
I nearly wet myself!

bubby64 · 13/09/2012 23:19

Oh my Shabba, I hope that little boy did not really understand exactly what he was saying, but just copying what he had heard from someone else! That is a horrible thing for one so young to know!
Have you had Lew during the rest of the day? You are really going to miss him next week, I can see you having treatment for Lew withdrawal symptoms!! Grin

shabbatheGreek · 13/09/2012 23:22

No I haven't had him at all. Em and Danny had holidays owing to them so they have shared the child care. Have managed to clean the entire house properly and have a good old sort out and tip out of cupboards etc etc. By Monday I will be bored stiff - however the mighty Lew is having a sleepover here on Saturday night so that will be my clean, tidy house all messed up again!! LOL

bubby64 · 13/09/2012 23:28

Got my housework done yesterday as ha a day off, looks like I haven't touched it for a fortnight already!
My God, look at the time, should have gone to bed an hour ago, night everyone >

Goodmorning.............awake at 5.30am............grrrrrrrrr Don`t like these dark mornings already. Put my heating on for an hour last night..........grim thoughts of Winter!

shabbatheGreek · 14/09/2012 06:45

Morning Trips, Morning girls xx

Weird Trips - have been lay awake since about half 5 - just gave up trying to get back to sleep and came down...AND put the heating on!!

bubby64 · 14/09/2012 08:43

Awake since 5.30 also, woken by OnCall phone, lady asking " who is coming to assist me today?" wouldn't mind if she had memory probs, but she's as sharp as a tack, just expects everyone to be up and about at 5am like her!
Don't need heating here (yet) another lovely day!

bubby64 · 14/09/2012 09:00

Oh, and school angst, someone(not him) had lost M's French book and homework, my fault of course as I was the one to ask where it was as was helping by sorting out bag for the day by putting correct books in. He was screaming at me to find it! Eventually calmed him enough down to ask where he last had it, he took it out of his bag in Geography yesterday, but swears he put it back! My guess is it's sitting in geog classroom, but he hasn't got time to check as French is first lesson, gone off to bus in tearsSad I did tell him to ask his form tutor if he can go and look, but don't know if he will be able to. This might show him that I have put the box in his room in which to put all his school books for a reason, so he puts them in there at the end of each day and doesnt carry un-needed books around and then lose them!

Ruby- yes chaotic is one way to descibe it! I hate it as I am quite organised by nature, but add DH and DC into the mix and it all goes haywireHmm. Glad to hear your DH is backSmile.

bubby64 · 14/09/2012 12:58

Oooooh, just been told by a friend whose son is in yr8, they don't need to print all this homework off, they can either download it to a memory stick and take that in, or even email it to the teacher! Why don't the schoo tell you this? She said she only found this out half way through last year!

I would really love to come, but really cannot afford it. I am working extra on my days off as it is as we are behind on a credit card paymentSad. The cost of the boys starting High School has been far more than anticipated, I am on my short hours in my Bosch job, and now our hot water system has stopped working(oil burner boiler heats radiators, but not the hot water tank, for some reason),if it was the other way round, we'd leave it a little longer, but no hot water to wash with is a pain,(good thing the shower is electric!) so we have to call a heating engineer out.
Also, have promised DC we will use our free Chessington tickets end of the month, we have put this off for 2 months already, and they expire soon,, so have to use what little we have over on paying for the travel to that. Sad
