Yep thats what he was reading to me today....'Mum and Dad....Dad and Chip etc etc - he has just 'got it!!' Although he was much more interested in showing me how to do star jumps like they do in PE

He was very shy with me at first....we still see him at least once a week but it took him about 10 minutes until he was back to normal.

Just plodding on by with the same old routine and playing taxi service to the after school clubs, which is getting worse as the little ones get bigger and take on more

3 years today. Won't be celebrating too much, weds is the busiest day of the week - school then cross country, home for quick tea, then drop boys to Beavers, then dd to Girls Brigade, then diving back to beavers (which ends the same time as GB starts, 4 miles away), then back to bracknell to pick up dd.

Plus we totally broke, having paid the deposit for our holiday 2013

Will prob make a nice meal tomorrow instead. Venison steak, peppercorn or blue cheese sauce, fondant potatoes and green beans. And open a decent provencal wine.

We have booked for Faliraki for 2013 - this way we HAVE to save up LOL. We are flying out on Toms 16th birthday - 24th July xx

Same thing here really, paid a deposit so HAVE to really pull our belts in to pay off the rest. All going well, we shall be flying out to LA the day before my birthday next year

I do feel a bit mean, we not actually taking the older two! Hotels, car hire and flights gets so expensive with 6 of us. rhe and Jack will be off to camp for a week, and then off to my parents for a fortnight, so we are making the most of it.

We do have a family weekend away next month (competition prize), and probably do a family week at Easter somewhere so will make the most of all being together for those.

We had a nice dinner last night, steak in peppercorn with all the trimmings, and a decent bottle of red (which is why I am a little slower today!).
Also had The Cake (capital letters required), pics on facebook. It came complete with a 'Diary of a Wimpy Kid' type cartoon courtesy of Mike, I love dh's bald spot
We are in 2 minds about booking a holiday, as we are not sure how the ankle op will go, so leaving it for the moment.

Evening ladies.............another day of appts.........took my brother for his second heart scan, it was abit of a scary one as this one stressed his heart. Now we await the results. Good for you Shabs and Chops, life is too short, we all need something to look forward to. Chops, 3 weeks, are you touring? Got lots of ideas for you:) My dream is to one day go back to America, it is my dream destination, so exciting, vast.......awesome! We will just never be able to prebook now, its so frustrating and unfair. Had a lovely cuddle with Jacob today, utterly gorgeous, Jenny is still feeling strained and tired. The midwife came today to check her BP, she is on two lots of meds. Today it was 168 over 98 so its coming down, they say it could take up to six weeks from the birth. Still no news of my lovely Ollie, spent ages last night looking out of my bedroom window, praying and willing him to be safe and come home. Sounds weak saying that when those poor parents are looking for their little girl, God it must be so awful. I have a dentist app in Dover at 10am, new crown to go on..............at least I get to lie back and gaze into the eyes of the lovely one:)

Fingers crossed for your BIL, and for Ollie. Has Ollie ever done it before? I used to have a cat that would wander for weeks then reappear and steal my dinner!

It's absolutely orrible out today, all fog and freezing. Still resisting putting the heating on though - must save money!

Any suggestions are welcome trips! The current plan is -

We're flying into LA, got five nights booked there to do the sights, maybe take the kids to universal, etc, then going to head to San Diego for a few nights, then grand canyon and vegas (not sure on the order here yet!) then death valley, yosemite (this not worked out yet properly neither), then we drop the car off in San Francisco and have three nights there without the car, planning booking a hotel in Union Square.

I'm working on DH atm. DH loves Vegas, lights, shopping, etc. I'm excited by the idea of a trip to Mexico - dh convinced we will get beaten up by mexican gangs. I want to explore death valley - dh thinks we will get bitten by a rattlesnake or break down in the middle of nowhere and it will be like the Valley of the Eyes or some such American film! I want to explore Yosemite, swim in a lake and see the sequoia trees - dh thinks we will get eaten by bears!

So we do have lots of working out to do

I do want a few nights in luxury in Vegas - dreaming of the Bellagio if the prices come down, but gambling doesn't appeal in the least. I'm more of an outdoorsy girl I guess. I love seeing waterfalls and mountains. DH is more into man made sights! I can't wait to drive through death valley and over the Tioga pass - LOVE driving mountain passes - hired an SUV all ready for it. DH will be shit scared and wishing we took the interstate!

Scuse the rambling, I'm rather excited, we have been talking about doing this for at least 5 years!

San Francisco is the most wonderful place, full of 'odd bods' which suits me cause I am one Las Vegas is fantastic - if you are close by you have to go Chops - its a 'must see' for everybody. Yosemite is amazing as is Yellowstone. Its a wonderful part of the USA - mind you I am biased because thats the only part I have seen.

Dh has actually been 3 times before , and has been to Florida and we went to Chicago earlier this year. He thinks it is the best part too!

He'd emigrate there in a shot if he could. We have family there too around Palm springs and Anaheim.

I do want to SEE vegas, but can't say I am fussed about actually going in casinos. Maybe see a cirque du soleil show though. 'O' looks really good.

We desperatly want to go back to America too- we want to hire a camper and go to Maine, but most of all, we have always wanted to do the old Route 66.

have sent a request :) I can be a bit annoying on facebook though, I psot a lot of crap from comping, though I do try to avoid it unless it is absolutely mandatory for a comp.

We looked at route 66. I stood at the end of it in Chicago, have a photo somewhere! I don't think there is enough along it though to make me really go for it though, but I do want to find the other end of it next year.

My next road trip plan would be to start somewhere north of New York, go see Niagra falls and visit family in Canada, and then go down the east coast, finishing in Washington.

My friend set up a seperate facebook account along with seperate email and twitter accounts for her comping, as she was geting fd up of having the crap on her timelines, we just use her "regular" one, and am not 'friended' on the other
I am a bit crap on facebook too, I have to be careful with my work re confidentiallity, so tend not to post anything too emotive on there, and do not discuss difficult personal things for everyone to see unlike on here I can also go a long time between posting as I dont go on iyt every day, and sometimes not even every week!

I really wish I had done that when I first started comping, but now I am registered with so many companies under that facebook account and one email address, it would be impossible to change it now.

I mgiht have to set up a new twitter account though, I keep hitting the following 2000 people limit!
