He must have made it to school on time because they ring the parents if the kids are late.......school is crap at handling bullying etc but fantastic time keepers!!! I shouted at him this morning and he left home almost in tears......feel awful now because he is not a bad kid - in fact he is wonderful BUT now I keep thinking what my Nan used to say. Never be angry with a loved one when they are leaving the house. She had got very cross with my lovely Grandad - he went out that day and had an horrific accident in his lorry - he died a few years later. Being a Mam is bloody hard work!!

triplets · 18/09/2012 17:36

Ahhhhhhh Shabs, you want to try waking up three! Its the same every morning here..............from 7.30am-8.10am its hell, and madam is by farrrrrrrrrrrr the worst. Been lying on my back gazing into the eyes of my new dentist, 40 mins of drilling and filling..............Blush Had to have 3 injections to make it numb, now its wearing off and the aching is awful:(

shabbatheGreek · 18/09/2012 22:28

Couldn't do it Trips - I take my hat off to you and all the multiple Mums on here. xxxx Grin

triplets · 18/09/2012 22:41

You could Shabs.............you just need good loud vocals! Tooth still twingeing, feels alien................and the cost of it!! Notice that nip in the air now, sort of sad that another summer is closing, but this one has been a far from happy one. Soon be Christmas:o

Morning all, tooth settled down. Off on my own to Mums to clear:(

bubby64 · 19/09/2012 21:38

Evening all, homework battle continues here, just wish they would understand how important it is to get this done each day instead of leaving it.
Can't believe that amount for a sewing machine Trips, my mum has one sitting in her shed! I have got her old electric one here already, I use it to alter the kids clothes, especially trousers, but had just left the old foot treadle one in the shed as so heavy!
Ruby- I have also instituted the basket at the base of the stairs option, just chuck everything I find in it, and tell them to sort out what's theirs and take to the room, I have said anything left in it by Sunday goes in recycle or bin!

triplets · 19/09/2012 22:15

Dy ever find your shoulders hunched up to your ears with stress? Mine are aching and aching because I am so uptight. Spent 6 hours alone at Mums, 5 working and 1 crying. The house is so empty without her, it was awful, most things gone now, all packed away. I got so angry in there about things, her life, her end, my life. I worked so hard, sorting, bags for tip, bags for the charity shop..............having to throw away so many things, it hurt. I just drained myself crying, felt anger against two of my brothers who have not offered to help me. Cycled home at 5pm, tired, down. No one, no one could see that I was fed up, sad...................it was "whats for dinner"? I hadnt got anything prepared, dh begrudgingly said we would get fish and chips..........unless I wanted to use up what was in the fridge.........which meant I cooked. Then the boys tell me they need wet suits etc for tomorrow, being taken sailing, then they need a packed lunch, my cupboards are bare.......I just wanted to scream at them to leave me alone, feeling very fed up atm, tired and really stressed. Rant over...............

triplets · 20/09/2012 06:29

Morning all......awake so blimmin early, they say as you get older you need less sleep, well at this rate I am going to be up for 24 hours!!

Oh Trips- so sorry you had such a bad day. I would have told them to go get their own fish'n'chips, and sent them down a local late shop to get their sandwich stuff! And where, exactly, were you expected to get wetsuits at that time of day! I agree about sleep, I feel so tired, but cannot get to sleep before midnight, and awake before the 6.30 alarm most nights, DH said he was going up "for and hour" at 7pm, and did not wake til 6.30am, wish I could do that! However, it did leave me to deal with the boys yet again for the evening, but, for a change, they went up at 8.30 without protest, and when I checked at 9.15, they were both showered, in bed and asleep. They must have been exhausted! Miracles DO happenGrin
Shabs- glad the holiday did you good.
Ruby- today is my Friday as well woohoo!
Finally get to see a orthopaedic specialist consultant this afternoon, might actually get a decision about my ankle and knees, and get on a waiting list to get them sorted. Feel like a woman of 80 at the moment, hobbling along with a stick, struggling to get up out of chairs etc, doesn't give a good impression at work, either, to see the nurse in need of a nurse!

triplets · 20/09/2012 15:16

Good luck for this pm Bubbs, hope its a positive appt for you:)
Back to Mums today with dh and my poorly brother. We did 2 huge trips to the tip and one huge trip to the charity shop. Another 2/3 hours will get it all done, but boy do I ache today!
My niece has just called she is so fed up bless her. First baby and she is now 13 days overdue, despite 2 sweeps. So into hosp at 7.30am tomorrow to be induced, she woke up this morning full of cold as well! Ok here come the bomb disposal squad.......................aghhhh!

bubby64 · 20/09/2012 20:37

They are schedualling me in for January, bit shocked to here I have to be totally non weight bearing for 6 weeks, and in plaster a total of 12 weeks, also, DH will have to learn to give me daily blood thinning injections, and there is still a 10% chance it won't work!
My boss is going to love this!Sad

triplets · 20/09/2012 22:33

Goodness me...................what exactly are they going to do?
Mind you prob best time of the year to be laid up, I will bring cake and wine:)

Chopstheduck · 21/09/2012 07:23

Morning girls

thank god it's friday! Kids are already throttling each other. I'm exhausted, the older they get the more running around I they seem to do!

Ds1 is playing football for his school! Grin
He is a sub for the B team, and spent half an hour mostly running around the pitch inanely, but for a child who was using a wheelchair a few years ago, he is doing amazing and I'm so proud!

That sounds awful bubs :(

Trips, show them where the toaster is and leave them to it! Wish I was closer, your dh and bros need a good kick!

bubby64 · 21/09/2012 08:28

Hi. Manic here this morning, lost French workbook( M again!) i bet its in school! Also, on call phone kept going!
Chops - wonderful about your DS, feel the same about M when see him on rugby field, he doesn't catch ball well because of co-ordination, but really enjoys being involved!
Trips - They are going to do this. Sad i was seriously wondering if I should agree, or put up with the pain, but consultant said my knee joint is deteriorating because of my gait, and they will not be able to do anything for that whilst ankle so unstable, if I get ankle done, knee would also get better.

Ruby- J said about his new girlfriend yesterday "he got to 3rd base" !!!!!!!
I was very Shock as they has only sat together in class, until he said, "yes, she has agreed to walk down into town with me" I think a little education is required here to let him know the exact meaning of "bases" before he ruins her reputationGrinGrin

shabbatheGreek · 21/09/2012 09:33

ROFL @ 'bases' and also at 'meeting the dog.'

I love lads.....well most of the time I do!! Grin
