Ruby - you rebel you! I have been stuck with doing hearing tests on a load stinking less than fragrant men, all of whom seem to think they are the funniest people on earth by saying the same thing. , "Come in" say I, "Pardon! didn't hear that" they say. Grrrrrrr

Mabelface · 15/09/2011 13:10

hello again. Apologies for my absence! :D Triplets now back at school and in year 8 and life is peaceful again. DS1 is starting uni so I nearly have the house back to myself. :D

bubby64 · 15/09/2011 13:21

Hi Lizzy, nice to meet you, I popped in on my lunch break to put in my twopenneth. I will try to catch up later between the school run, tea and 1st night at Scouts!

triplets · 15/09/2011 22:01

Owwwwwww in a bit of a temper because I am soooooooooo fed up of picking up other peoples things I just stood at the bottom of the stairs throwning up everything that should be up there. Throw number 94 and I cracked my left elbow on the stairs post, made me feel really sick, its as sore as hell, my wrist is killing me from heavy lifting and every time I look at the scales it tells me I have gained 2lbs......................................why
d`ya ever wonder why?

shabbapinkfrog · 15/09/2011 23:07

OK so DH youngest brother (about 44) lived in Germany for years - used to be in the Queens Lancashire Regiment. Fit as a fiddle and really looks after himself. Didn't feel very well last week and went to the Docs. Two days later and he is having a pacemaker fitted Shock He was in hospital for 5 days but is now home.

Wants DH to go and see him - I understand that but with what????? So now - next weekend DH and SIL are going over Friday to Sunday night. Dont worry, says well off SIL, I will pay for your flight and you can give it me back when you have got it????????????????? WTF - £215 for flight and then he needs money while he is there. I know this is NOT about money and I really, really like my BIL - I just.....I just....oh shite I am so peed off!!

Going to buy an extra line on the lottery this week.

oooggs- full sympathy to you from this neck of the woods- the worse thing in this house are the lego bits! I am totally fed up with picking up lego from every surface!! Also, why can nobody else but me recognise that dirty washing goes in the washing basket, not to be left dropped on the floor in whichever room they happen to be inAngry

shabbapinkfrog · 15/09/2011 23:12

Blush just read my last message and it sounds very selfish.....sorry ladies I had to loose my mind somewhere!! xx

bubby64 · 15/09/2011 23:18

Shabbs- can they not recognise money is very tight? Besides, sorry to say this, but a pacemaker is not really a big issue, many people I have nursed have had them fitted, stay overnight and are fine after a few weeks. He will be fit enough to come and see you in a very short while, why is it so urgent your DH goes over this w/e?

bubby64 · 15/09/2011 23:24

Shabbs- sorry, I have just read what I posted as well! I am not a hard bitch, I just used to wok on a cardiac ward, where pacemakers were fairly routine, I know it is prob a very big deal to your BIL and DH...sorry againSad

triplets · 15/09/2011 23:26

Are they particularly close? My b*dy elbow is killing me, and I`m tired so had better get to bed........................well I am in it but that means nothing, sorry girls no trolley tonight due to illness:o

bubby64 · 15/09/2011 23:31

trips- I take it as read you have applied an ice pack to offended limb, it really will help. I'll set out breakfast for you

triplets · 15/09/2011 23:44

Morning girls xx

Yes DH and BIL are very close - although not in piggin' miles!!

Bubby - I really agree with your posts - DH is a 'meltdown expert' - and, I am the one who keeps the smile pinned on and says 'Everything will be OK.' SIL has booked the flights for not this weekend but next weekend....so that makes it so much easier financially

.........and breathe!!

Phew.............just got back from Canterbury, James and Rebecca both had their first orthodental appt, lots of work to be done on poor James, not quite so much for Rebecca. After swearing to have to lose weight we have just been to Macdonalds and I am off to the pub for supper tonight as its our book club meeting and we have the author coming, Deborah Moggach! So am just going to swat up. Woke up with a cold sore, hate the things, been a very busy week and I am tired.................amen:)

bubby64 · 16/09/2011 22:26

had very trying day also went over to mums check on what shopping she needed, and found her fridge freezer had broken down, flooding the kitchen. and ruining all food.I took her out to buy a new one, Bennetts were brilliant, bought if for her at 12 30, it was delivered at 4pm!

triplets · 16/09/2011 23:56

Oh Bubbly, that happened to me once, our broke down whilst we were on holiday in America.....................the food was so yukky. Just got home from book club at the pub, Deborah Moggach was really nice, very funny and swears like a trooper! Shame though she tells us that the film coming out of her book is nothing like it, they have really changed the story, must be so infuriating for her. Anyway it was good and nice to get out for a few hours! Night night all xx
