Hi all back from school shoe shopping, Clarkes is manic today! I rang and explained my problem re: spotty muldoon's and they were great! Sent a lady outside with foot measuring thing, measured their feet, she and I went in to find shoes to fit, chose a pair for each, she came out again to fit them, went in and paid, even remembered to ask for Tamba discount, job done! what fantastic customer service!

Trust DH to put a downer on an otherwise successful day, his car has failed MOT and needs welding work, about £100, and has a go about me spending out on Clarkes shoes "why can't you buy Asda or Tesco like everyone else!"
This was money I earned by doing extra work that I spent today, just so I could get good shoes, the last pairs I got lasted 2.5 terms, so they are worth the extra IYKWIM, besides which, DBIL has said he will do the welding tomorrow for him for a couple of beers, so why have a go at me! >

LOL Bubby - I still have to get High school trousers, jumper and shoes for my Tom (they jumper and trousers HAVE to have the school badge on ) I should take him to Clarkes - he has square feet - a bit like me!!! Have to get him a size 7 from an ordinary shop but at Clarkes he only needs a 5 but a H fitting....cant afford any of it.....oh yes and he has to have a haircut....he is growing it and looks like a scruffy surfer who hasn't washed his hair for a month!! Sounds like jam buttys for me for the next couple of weeks - minus the jam!!

Not at Chelles on Friday nights anymore Rubester. The cheeky cow only got a social life - I mean.....how very dare she!!! Her son has started playing cricket at our local cricket ground and she goes there every Friday while he practices and it turns into a night out for her. I miss our Friday nights and cant wait for the end of the cricket season LOL

Trips - hi to you, looking back at thread you seem to have a good time, but how lucky are you to have yours back at school-mine dont go back til next Wednesday (sob)
Shabs-got all that next year, polo shirts at@£11 each, sweatshirts @£15, PE kit plus rugby kit all with bloody logo! This is my last year with 99p white polo shirts and £2 sweatshirts with a 50p iron on school logo!High school won't do an iron on logo, despite pleas from parents, said they all need to look the same, and there could be slight differences in placement of logo, colour of top etc, their tops are black, what different colour of black can you get!
Sorry, ranting again...need glass of wine and choc to calm down...

Shabs- in the same boat I'm afraid, I work 2 jobs PT, DH looking for 2nd, but still skint...still wondering how to afford heating oil before the winter, tank has been empty since May... never mind, something will turn up, have always just scraped through before, maybe some ad hoc agency work doing flu jabs as the season is just round the corner,
Anyway, weather here is sunny so going to start painting the outside of house this weekend, bought paint etc weeks ago and been finding excuses not to do it since.

We should do a lottery syndicate, mind you I havent won even a tenner for over 5 years! My mums the lucky one, keeps getting 4 numbers, must get her numbers she always does! Off to hers now and dragging kids along, theyll love it

Hellooooooooooooooo anybody there? Oh well, I`ll finish off the last brownie with a slug of Rose, how did Bubbly know I love both? Too late for supper trolley, will lay out b/fast menu...............now lets see......
