We really didn't get a Summer here....usually we go off to Faliraki and watch Sky News and laugh at the poor buggers stuck at home freezing their bits off......Hmm think that Karma got me this year!! I have got lots of beautiful rose trees in pots in my front 'garden' - this year we have had 2 roses from about 6 plants....even they are too scared to bloom in case they got cold or wet LOL

hope trips is having a good time. i love holland. i wanted to go back there at easter but prob be too broke.

we're now in provence, about 12 kms from st tropez. lovely sleepy site in the middle of two lare hills(maybe small mountains). to drive direc ctly to the beach it is a scary drive over one down single track road. but the view of the coastline from the top is breathtaking. :) finding it very expensive here, eating out costs double italy prices and bbqs not allowed, prob cos we in forest.

temp still very hot and i got lobstered cos didnt take account of how windy it was! also lost van key for two days which turned up in dt2s pocket :@:D

Hi-Can I join you lot? Fairly new to mumsnet and just found your link-I'm a knackered mum of 10yr old ID boys who think the best thing in life is to annoy upset or physically injure their respective brother and drive their parents to do their best at becoming alchoholics or else selling them, giving them up for adoption being resigned to a life of conflict!
I may not get here every day, as I work 2 jobs, but i would try to drop in fairly regularly.

Sad have fell out big time with Tom. One of his teachers rang quite late last night and asked if he could go into school today and help her with a display she was putting on. Oh yes I will says the child. Gone to get him up this morning and he now says he is not doing it. Have debated and threatened and argued but he is not going. Just had to ring to let her know. I hate letting people down. I understand that they do 'mug' the kids at times.....they do always turn to the good kids when they need help....but still he is wrong. I have only raised Danny to this age and beyond and he was a 'pushover' he would do anything to help anyone. I realised this morning I am not a great Mum because I wanted to say things that I knew would hurt him. I am currently throwing stuff and sulking. OMG this is a difficult job.

Thanks for the welcome, At work, grabbing a bite and a sneaky 10minutes on-line after checking with my new childminder that all ok with the boys, she is already proving a great find as a) she had ID boys herself, who are now 15, so is aware of how twins can be (poor girl!)and b)she was not meant to have the boys until after the holidays, but my 2 have both developed chickenpox (for the 2nd time, why do they have to be the awkward ones!) and couldnt go to usual holiday club - "send them to me" she said "I want my 3yr old to get them before she starts school!"
She has also said how polite and chatty the boys are compared to her 2. I personally think they are lulling her into a false sense of security, but time will tell!!

shabbapinkfrog · 31/08/2011 14:06

Oh yes all my lads have been well behaved and happy for other people - little sods!!

Came home to world war 3, boys had had a great day with T, new child minder, but J was now deliberately doing everything he could to p**s DH off.
I had to sit him down and make him listen to sense. Then I had to do the same thing with DH! Why is it I feel like I am permanently on uk peace keeper duties! I have since crawled into a bottle of vino and am staying here until boys are old enough to leave home!

Shabs, sit down and have an advocaat, cheese? Nice to be home, am shattered. Got sore arse bottom from cycling, all in all it was a nice holiday, even me and H got on, till tonight...........thats another story! Woke up this morning and looked in the mirror and nearly died, look like Quasimodo, bloody mozzies bitten me on my face, all puffed up, two bites on my right hand and one on my leg, look delightful I do! Long day, Holland, Belgium, France and England all in 5 hour drive, amazing isn`t it? Kids of course totally bored............."look you lot, a windmill"............answer, "and?" Only stopped arguing when I threw drinks and snacks over the back seat, felt like a keeper at an aquarium feeding the sealions! Up for school tomorrow, going to be a shock for us all! You been ok Shabs?

shabbapinkfrog · 01/09/2011 22:53

I'm breathing and functioning Trips - so that has to be a bonus!!!

I have got a big bump just below one of my fingernails....started to worry me a little - its fookin arthritus.....got a big lump on my wrist which is also the same....I want to be 17 again - this growing older lark is not all its cracked up to be!!

triplets · 01/09/2011 23:07

I get those bumps Shabs, can be painful, but they do go. Do you take cod liver oil capsules, I do think they help. I stopped going into the pool at CP, so depressing watching all those young slim bodies, I hid in the hot tub and had to stay in there for hours as I wouldn`t get out in front of everyone else! Face itch itch itch.................oh life is grand:o

triplets · 01/09/2011 23:11

Kale Nits Shabs...............missed you xx
