Morning girls. Rav is still asleep. Bit worried about his fingers still being so swollen and his thumb hurts and keeps 'fizzing'. Hoping it just because the rod ends just below where the thumb joint starts in his wrist iykwim. He is going to have a long scar on his forearm 2-3" long and a smaller one near his wrist. Going to look like a right little thug
It amazing how common it is - there were three in the ward with him, with the same thing, but the other two got off a bit lighter, just had their bones set. Does Tom mind his scar, shabs?
Unfortunately Rav scars pretty badly. He was up A&E 2 mnths ago when the loft hatch fell on his foot, the corner dug right in just where his toes start. He has a lovely lumpy scar from that one - it'll be something to show the girls though!
He felt pretty sorry for himself when it happened. dt2 had done the same thing moments earlier without injury so it was all very unfair! dt2 is usually the monkey who does everything but gets away with it.
I was scared when he was in theatre. dh went in with him for the GA, I would have been in bits. We were told 20 mins if they could just manipulate it into place, an hour if they had to insert wires. Those 2.5 hours dragged. Was so glad to see him in recovery, and all that had gone on -all he was worried about was his dinner!
