One of Matty's favourite girls at primary school has just posted on FBook. Three weeks ago she found out she was pregnant (been with boyfriend 2 years), they got engaged at the weekend and are marrying in 5 weeks Grin She is a lovely woman. She has just invited me to the church to see her get married. Its the church where Danny and Matts school used to go on special occasions - all Matts classmates are attending with their partners and their children. Will see how I feel on the day....sobbing in church at a wedding is not a 'good look!!' You can feel her excitement in the message.

Shabs........its hard isnt it? I chickened out of going to a lovely wedding in May, lovely friends whose daughter was born 4 days after Matthew. I so wanted to see Anna, but I just couldnt face it, I havent been to any of his friends weddings as yet. I was surprised how much it hurt when I got the invitation, then felt bad because they wanted me there, same for you, they want you to go because you are Mattys mum. I regretted afterwards that I didn`t go because I would love to have seen her again, she is now living in NZ. All packed up for tomorrow, Thomas went to bed at 7pm feeling sick and headachey and I have a spot on my chin.................stunning:o
Oh before I forget.........

Goodmorning Shabs, you are up even earlier today! Had a good drop of rain, freshen things up. Off to Norfolk today, hopefully we will all get on, H is such a stickler for his routine, drives me nuts! I would be very happy having a sandwich, pkt crisps an a beer every night, easy peasy, he will want 2 g&ts, long bath, another g&t and sit down to a slap up meal an a bottle of wine! Thats what happens at home, he is in for a shock as I am doing a rota, inc the kids! If he doesn`t like it I hear there is a good pub 10 mins walk away!

shabbapinkfrog · 05/08/2011 06:41

You tell him Trips Grin

Lew and Emma are both not very well at all. Yesterday he had a very high temperature - gave him calpol etc etc. Then he said he had tummy ache in his head!! Of course I panicked like mad. Even though it was raining a little bit outside we kept going out at the back because he said the rain felt nice Smile He kept saying 'Andma, can I have you?' Which is Lewis talk for please can you hold me and cuddle me.

Checked him constantly for a rash....chicken pox are verrrrry popular around here at the moment!! Think this is one of the very worst parts of being bereaved of a child.....the slightest little health problem with siblings/grandchildren and you fear the worst. Had to slap my own face and repeat in my head 'He has a temperature and a headache....nothing is going to happen, he has a temperature and a headache.................'

No not mis-placed at all. Just spoken to Emma. They all ended up at the emergency doctors late last night. You will never, ever guess what the doctor said????? VIRAL INFECTION - sure thats GP speak for 'I have no idea.' Poor little fella was really burning up yesterday. I got a hand towel and wet it then wrung it out. He sat with it on his head like a shepherd in a nativity. If I say to him 'Your Daddy used to do this when he was a little boy' - Im on to a winner Grin

Better get up an go check him:o

triplets · 05/08/2011 23:44

BOO Just checking up on yer, so where is the trolley? Shabs hope Lew and Em are feeling better today.
Well, as we havent been on holiday in the UK for over 7 years in Aug we did not realize what a nightmare it would be on the roads. Left Deal at 10.30am, should have been in this area even with a lunchstop by 2pm, got here at almost 5pm, stop start crawl!! The mill is more beautiful than it shows on the website, the house is huge an beautifully done, the grounds and river to die for. The kids are in two rooms on the ground floor, kitchen etc on the 1st floor and 2nd floor two lovely rooms overlooking the river, mine has a 66 wide bed...all for me! Would be bliss if the kids weren`t so hyper and H not so grumpy, even away nothing changes. I sat by the river at 7pm with a glass of wine and he said he was going in to start supper! 30 mins later I go in to find a pan of potatoes boiling and he is in the shower! I finally got out of the kitchen at 9pm, worse than home!! I am off to suss the pub in the morning, its not fair. I must sound soooooo ungrateful as the place is stunning, I just need my friends, a laugh, to be able to relax. I had to hoover Beccas ceiling at 11pm, full of mozzies................oh to be beside the river:o

shabbapinkfrog · 05/08/2011 23:52

Hiya Trips - sounds wonderful and bloody annoying all at the same time!!!

So wish you and the kids could come to Faliraki with me and the two husbands go somewhere together where they could have a really good moan Grin

One of these days Thelma, one of these days. See my evenong is just the same as being at home, cook, wash up, be with the lapt top. The two "gentlemen" who own this place are really lovely, one older than the other, the younger one is too die for, God has he got looks, what a waste.............what a waste! This is where we are, staying in the Millers House.

Oooohhh looks lovely Trips.

Well time is rapidly running out for us to go to Faliraki. We need to go on the 24th August....so that means my inheritance (IF it is enough) has to be here no later than about the 14th August to give the cheque time to clear......LOL have you heard me - what a crock - I am a cockeyed optimist but even I dont think any of this will happen. Ce sera sera - whatever will be will be!
