Afternoon. Does anyone know of anywhere I can get food today for me and my daughters. Struggling to make ends meet completely now as a single mum to 4 and no food banks are open today. Thankyou

Have you got a bit of cash, coins in a money box or Tesco clubcard points or nectar? Get down to the nearest shop and a bag of pasta and a jar of sauce will feed 5 of you for today. There’s likely to be some reduced bread, so you could get that and beans or spaghetti hoops.

Tomorrow go to citizens advice and speak to them about a food bank referral and ask about local food clubs and check you’re getting everything you’re entitled to

I don't I honestly don't even have 2 pence to rub together at the moment, I do work and claim uc I've tried asking for an advance however my earnings were too high lastmonth, I'm paid 4 weekly from work so this month looks as though I've been paid twice which I haven't it's an absolute nightmare when you have little ones depending on you

I say this delicately…. Is social services involved with your family? If so, contact the OOH line and explain th situation. This will NOT reflect badly on you.

You children going in to school and telling staff that they haven’t eaten anything in 24 hours WILL reflect badly on you though.
