Talking of Speccy Bot. I know the use of a charity by MLMs like Forever and their bots to try and increase volume and collect the data of new names who have been attracted by the "good cause" is much discussed. As well as the small proportion of money actually given to the good cause. Does anyone also find it jarring that Speccy uses a named photo of her own child in conjunction with a good cause that is all about children (presumably their protection) in a post on an open page which she hopes to be shared far and wide?
Why has the much publicised risks of sharing our children's images and information on social media not registered with bots like Speccy, Uber, 2Jags and Headband and not forgetting Salon, Castle, Fierce, Weird Willy (not lately) and many more? I know their scams rely upon any engagement they can get but you'd have thought this would be higher up the list of priorities. What would happen if MLMs were made responsible for the type of posts their bots shared. If FLP has the power to deal with/shut down certain content from bots (such as promoting another MLM) why can't they issue their bots with clear guidelines on the use of children to promote FLP even indirectly, then police the bots?
I want to share this with them. It touches on the for the digital footprint and the possible consequences of freely available SM photos and data of children. i_
