Just caught up with Uber. I suspect that Yawns panic to establish an alternative income stream is down to Uber taking over her patch. And her choice of school for her daughter allows her to move in the groups Yawn can only dream of. However, Uber needs to be careful because FL is well known in the area and she will find it hard to push. She may find herself very much on her own at the school gate when the other mums realise she is trying to sell gloop to them.

@dickiedavisthunderthighs could a spanner in the works for Yawn be failure to be registered with the ICO and complying with their requirements for a business holding personal information including (potentially) financial information? In an otherwise unregulated area with no rules the issue of privacy and GDPR does seem to be the one trip hazard I've seen coaches and therapists fall over. The other one is public liability insurance, which doesn't seem important to people like Yawn until it's too late.

Well.uber cant be that skint if the kid is going to the royal grammar. That school isn't cheap. She won't be received well by the other posh mums or teacher around here if she starts peddling her flp shite. Yawn will be very envious as uber is clearly still strutting the posh life.

I wonder if her DD's Dad (who basically seemed to disappear just before she was born) contributes financially, even if he doesn't see her.

I'm pretty sure, from what Uber has said over the years, that he has nothing to do with his DD but Uber's not the sort of woman who would just sit back and do nothing, she would have pursued him for financial support (and I don't think he was short of a bob or two)

@Angrymum22 yes, Yawnsville has always seemed to have been an FLP stronghold which must now mean that many people are aware and have been approached more than once. Those of you who know the area have said on a number of occasions I think, that the pool of victims gets smaller and the reputation of Yawn et al is well known in the area. Uber will hoover up anyone who isn't resistant leaving Yawn free to play make believe. But Uber is going to have a lonely time at the school gates these days whatever the type of school. The pandemic drew negative attention to MLM antics and really seemed to kill off tolerance of them among those who were previously only vaguely aware of them.

@Sugarplum48 the private school uniform is good for 'attraction marketing' but you're right, there are unlikely to be rich pickings among the parent body these days. In fact, one whiff of MLM and Uber will be out in the cold. The prep schools around my neck of the woods don't allow MLM to set up shop at school fairs etc. These events are often organised by parents so the MLM ban has come from them. A decade ago they seemed to be tolerated, not now. I imagine that's increasingly the case elsewhere. Same in the two primary schools near me except for the presence of an Usbourne book seller twiddling her thumbs at one school's summer fete.

What happened to Ubers sister? She seemed fed up with the yoga mat cheques and had since completely disappeared from Ubers socials... Her mum doesn't feature much but still more than the sister.

I had a look at JL's website and she says that what drew her to NWM (FLP or Uber probably told her to keep FLP's name out of it) was the opportunity to start a risk free business. She doesn't say why she gave up her risk free business to become yet another NWM coach. Presumably because of the risk of appearing on the insolvency register for a second time. Looking at the companies her partner is juggling it may be her destiny even without FLP's help.
