child benefit not paid

hi i normally receive my payments every monday for one child (4yo) i’ve received no letters or anything and had payment as normal last week. Although my payments are on mondays, i receive them saturday due to my bank, but this week it hasn’t come through and it’s not my bank as carers has come through like every other week as normal. No change of address etc and her dad wouldn’t of put a claim in and don’t think i can contact them till monday so stressed at what’s going on

I got through. They have said they are aware of the problem, but they have not received any guidance on this so far. From their perspective, all payments have gone out and should be received by now. They said they will escalate it and call back either later or tomorrow if payments not received.

They would say that. They just putting us off. Obviously payments haven't been sent why can't they just admit there's a problem somewhere

To be fair though, I do work full time I only get what the government says I’m entitled to. 🤷🏽‍♀️

Although I’m not sat around worrying about it as my funds are ok, is a bit annoying just wondering what’s going on.

Also, can we please stop asking if anyone else hasn’t had their money paid?? Read the room (or 19 pages of comments) 🙄

Hi!
Has anyone been able to get through to HMRC?
I've tried calling and keeps cutting off. I have checked my HMRC app and stated that payment had been made however I have received nothing.

This is ridiculous absolutely barbaric behaviour from HMRC, We should of being told by now when we should be expecting to receive it…

There’s absolutely no point contacting them. You’re unlikely to get through and someone has already posted above what they were told when contacted (that they basically have no idea what’s happening and they’re trying to fix it). Only thing you can do is wait it out at the moment.

Excuse me... think before you speak please, I do indeed work, and I work very hard aswell as study ontop of that, to give my kids the best. It is routine for me to use my CB for electricity topup and has been for the last as I have to budget to pay for my study that will indeed one day give my kids the best life.. and by the way working or not working every parent is entitled to CB.... many thanks..

Everyone has to claim child
benefit unless you earn over 60k a year 🤦🏻‍♀️

Er, most of us do work. Everyone earning under 50k is entitled to child benefit.

They can't change the situation and there will be people in the background working out what's happened and what to do.

I got through on +44 161 210 3086
They said its not considered a missing payment until tomorrow. They are aware, but they will not acknowledge a missed payment until 4th June as payments can credit accounts up until 4pm.
Obviously they know something is wrong but not admitting it.

I work in a similar position, unfortunately until the actual bods responsible find the issue, work out how to fix it and report back then we do have no information to give. Its actually shocking how many people think I can just click a button and sort everything. It really doesn't work like that.

Oh woooow really? Well I heard this happened before when doing research and that HMRC have numerous banks they pay out of and that bank had issues so maybe it’s happened again 🤷🏻‍♀️
