child benefit not paid

hi i normally receive my payments every monday for one child (4yo) i’ve received no letters or anything and had payment as normal last week. Although my payments are on mondays, i receive them saturday due to my bank, but this week it hasn’t come through and it’s not my bank as carers has come through like every other week as normal. No change of address etc and her dad wouldn’t of put a claim in and don’t think i can contact them till monday so stressed at what’s going on

I bank with NatWest and didn't get anything either :(

It's not really a joke is it. They aren't set up for 100s of calls all at once.

I'm with Halifax and get mine every Monday and haven't today, honestly and then don't pick up the phone to anyone

It is when it lets u get all way through then says passed to advisor then says to busy and cuts u off yes that is a joke

Still nothing here, lucky I came to this thread to look was thinking it was just me and couldn't get through to dwp :( im with monzo so I usually get mine Friday 4pm

Yeah I’m sure they are well aware now anyway, bet every single phone has rang since 8am I do feel for them slightly it must be hectic!

I'm with Lloyd's mine also hasn't come through! I'm glad I don't work there today! Although not sure how long it will take to sort out! Eek

The WalesOnline article is quite laughable though. “HMRC has urged people to check their bank accounts again”. Very awkward considering a lot of people seem to have been refreshing it for the last 8 hours at least.

Are people genuinely surprised that they can't get through?

I’m in the same boat due my child benefit today usually shows as pending on the Friday nothing and no payment today, glad I’m not the only one who hasn’t had it but it’s an absolute joke.. been in contact with HSBC and there’s no problem on there end been told to contact the issuer

No its part of the Scottish government we get 100 per child per month.

It's just like when you phone the doctors first thing and they don't have space in the phone queue.

Hi, I bank with Rbs. HMRC shows payment for today but not in my account This morning

If you’re nearly out of emergency call your electric company and explain what’s happening and ask them to issue you an emergency credit. Most companies can issue one off tops ups up to about £50 and you Don’t usually have to pay it back. Have a google and see if you can find out more info x

I’m with monzo, still haven’t received mine either. The hmrc website claims it’s been paid today.
