hi i normally receive my payments every monday for one child (4yo) i’ve received no letters or anything and had payment as normal last week. Although my payments are on mondays, i receive them saturday due to my bank, but this week it hasn’t come through and it’s not my bank as carers has come through like every other week as normal. No change of address etc and her dad wouldn’t of put a claim in and don’t think i can contact them till monday so stressed at what’s going on

Shocked as get me through then says sorry to many people on phone and there to busy and cuts me off joke

It's not really a joke is it. They aren't set up for 100s of calls all at once.

wizarddry · 03/06/2024 08:13

Ah fair enough yes makes sense sorry.

It’s not a problem, lots of high tensions on here this morning. It’s understandable

Anisa12345 · 03/06/2024 08:14

Yes it’s probably a case of all was well when everyone finished work on Friday, and then somethings happened over the weekend like a system issue that’s stopped payments from going out, so they’re all going to be finding out about it this morning when the calls come in. I wouldn’t want to be working that job today lol!

Oh no me neither! I bet they have switch off the call board 😆

Yeah give them time to make their morning coffee and log on and I'm sure they'll set up a message

Hi, have you received your payment today as I am in exactly the same position as you. I thought it would go in on Saturday so just thought wait til today and it still hasn’t gone in!

Csijen · 03/06/2024 08:15

Hey gals. I've not had mine either. I'm santander and this is the first time I've never not received mine

Mommy2boys30 · 03/06/2024 08:15

I'm with Halifax and get mine every Monday and haven't today, honestly and then don't pick up the phone to anyone

wizarddry · 03/06/2024 08:15

ArtfulJoker · 03/06/2024 08:12

You would think they would generate a message to avoid getting inundated with calls! 🫣seems as though CB don’t know what’s going on either !

They will know

SnugPeer · 03/06/2024 08:16

Let us know how you get on, can't get through

Anisa12345 · 03/06/2024 08:16

It is when it lets u get all way through then says passed to advisor then says to busy and cuts u off yes that is a joke

Pinkprincess96 · 03/06/2024 08:16

Still nothing here, lucky I came to this thread to look was thinking it was just me and couldn't get through to dwp :( im with monzo so I usually get mine Friday 4pm

ArtfulJoker · 03/06/2024 08:17

wizarddry · 03/06/2024 08:15

They will know

Yeah I’m sure they are well aware now anyway, bet every single phone has rang since 8am I do feel for them slightly it must be hectic!

Siany15 · 03/06/2024 08:17

Has any one worked out what's going on? Mine also usually goes in a Saturday but thought I'd wait til today as it says Monday but not recieved it!

Natzy21 · 03/06/2024 08:17

I'm with Lloyd's mine also hasn't come through! I'm glad I don't work there today! Although not sure how long it will take to sort out! Eek

LoftyReader · 03/06/2024 08:18

The WalesOnline article is quite laughable though. “HMRC has urged people to check their bank accounts again”. Very awkward considering a lot of people seem to have been refreshing it for the last 8 hours at least.

GuinnessBird · 03/06/2024 08:18

Are people genuinely surprised that they can't get through?

Shanicemb95 · 03/06/2024 08:19

I’m in the same boat due my child benefit today usually shows as pending on the Friday nothing and no payment today, glad I’m not the only one who hasn’t had it but it’s an absolute joke.. been in contact with HSBC and there’s no problem on there end been told to contact the issuer

Bethy259 · 03/06/2024 08:20

My thoughts exactly! There’s Thousands and thousands of people not received CB everyone’s gonna be ringing 🙃

Emmarosegrahamx · 03/06/2024 08:20

No its part of the Scottish government we get 100 per child per month.

It's just like when you phone the doctors first thing and they don't have space in the phone queue.

What are you even going to ask them anyway?

Crazeeburd · 03/06/2024 08:20

Hi, I bank with Rbs. HMRC shows payment for today but not in my account This morning

Mundi1 · 03/06/2024 08:20

Lucy223007 · 03/06/2024 08:10

Yes please that would be great, I'm the same starting to panick as I rely on this money every Monday to put electricity into my house for the kids

If you’re nearly out of emergency call your electric company and explain what’s happening and ask them to issue you an emergency credit. Most companies can issue one off tops ups up to about £50 and you Don’t usually have to pay it back. Have a google and see if you can find out more info x

Hollypj · 03/06/2024 08:20

I’m with monzo, still haven’t received mine either. The hmrc website claims it’s been paid today.
Hope we get some answers 🤞🏼
