hi i normally receive my payments every monday for one child (4yo) i’ve received no letters or anything and had payment as normal last week. Although my payments are on mondays, i receive them saturday due to my bank, but this week it hasn’t come through and it’s not my bank as carers has come through like every other week as normal. No change of address etc and her dad wouldn’t of put a claim in and don’t think i can contact them till monday so stressed at what’s going on

mine is exactly the same! My carers has gone in just no child benefit… anyone know what’s going on?

Lucy223007 · 03/06/2024 07:41

I'm ulster bank

mitogoshi · 03/06/2024 07:42

There's a lot of panicking posts here and on Twitter/X. If your payment is due on 3rd then they have until close of business today to get it paid, if it is due 4th then they have until close of business tomorrow. As frustrating as it is, calling them is a waste of your time. You will not be entitled to compensation as someone suggested as long as they pay today for 3rd June payments.

Speak to your banks if you need a brief overdraft to cover it, better use of your time than calling hmrc

Just phoned Monzo and they said everything on there end is absolutely fine

Ianrobbie · 03/06/2024 07:44

I didn't get mine this morning either. Thing is, I bank with Starling and they usually say if a payment is due the next working day and so far I have nothing for tomorrow (except a Direct Debit going out).

I meant on Friday I phoned and it should have definitely gone In today and still nothing

Same here I phoned on Friday afternoon. I bank with Monzo. All I was told was to wait until Monday 🤷🏽‍♀️

It's most likely an error, but I have to admit that the bot like posts on here are making me a bit suspicious. If you're going to hack child benefit, what better way to spread panic than by posting again and again on the UK's biggest parenting site asking if anyone else has experienced the same issue?

Exactly. Some of the comments on this thread are downright strange.

I’ve still not recieved my child benefit today, is there a problem all around? I’m with hsbc bank.

Lorrie123456 · 03/06/2024 07:49

it seems they are paying in order of your NI number.

Well people should demand it, cost of living and especially children with disabilities

It won't come any faster by demanding it

No that's pensions

Jbalmforth · 03/06/2024 07:50

There must be a major problem. We all need it when it's due for our kids

lalaloopsy83 · 03/06/2024 07:51

Not received mine today and it's not pending for tomorrow. Don't know what's going on

Mkerr · 03/06/2024 07:51

Toniwyld · 03/06/2024 07:52

I was told the same

DailyEnergyCrisis · 03/06/2024 07:52

How much is child benefit out of interest?

ArtfulJoker · 03/06/2024 07:52

No, that is pensions.

Harrysutton · 03/06/2024 07:55

I think this must be a wake up call to the govt , the sheer volume of people waiting for their CB because they are down to their last pennies. I really don't know the answer though and not sure any of the political parties do either.

GuinnessBird · 03/06/2024 07:55

I think Mumsnet has a bot problem.
