hi i normally receive my payments every monday for one child (4yo) i’ve received no letters or anything and had payment as normal last week. Although my payments are on mondays, i receive them saturday due to my bank, but this week it hasn’t come through and it’s not my bank as carers has come through like every other week as normal. No change of address etc and her dad wouldn’t of put a claim in and don’t think i can contact them till monday so stressed at what’s going on

Received mine early this morning, HSBC. It showed as pending from Friday. I feel sorry for those that are missing theirs, hope it's rectified today.

(Not sure about all of the weird, virtually identical posts though.)

I don't think some people understand how important this money is for others. Telling them to use other money they have or telling them not to panic. Some people won't have other money available and will be relying on this payment, so of course they're going to be worried 🙄

ArtfulJoker · 03/06/2024 07:21

‘Panicking is not going to help’

sorry to break it to you but some people panic over slight things! Telling them to stop panicking will not help those people, just feel like people are passing judgment

This!!!! What happened to mumsnet mums supporting one another? Seems to be a place to come and judge others now!

Apparently today's money was spent on Sunak's bus instead

child benefit not paid
Sammy19891 · 03/06/2024 07:22

Well people should demand it, cost of living and especially children with disabilities

gojumpjump · 03/06/2024 07:23

Having worked with payments before, I know how crazy phone lines will be this morning and how answering phones can take away from fixing the actual problem. I'd suggest maybe waiting a little for a statement before clogging phone lines to give them time to figure it out.

Cherryflavouranything · 03/06/2024 07:23

Mine is in (First Direct).

shuffleofftobuffalo · 03/06/2024 07:24

I'd hate to be part of HMRC's SLT this morning 😬

Jennybeans401 · 03/06/2024 07:24

I thought there might be something on the news/online about this being an error but not seen anything apart from on mumsnet

ArtfulJoker · 03/06/2024 07:24

Cherryflavouranything · 03/06/2024 07:23

Mine is in (First Direct).

Ahh looks like maybe could be some banks then, maybe another cyber attack 🤷🏻‍♀️

Hidez9353 · 03/06/2024 07:24

I've just called the NatWest and they told me that I'm not the only one to call regarding this and they (NatWest) have received multiple calls already this morning about child benefit payments and advises to call HMRC as this is there problem. Think I'll give it to the end of the day or tomorrow.

Kerry8512 · 03/06/2024 07:25

It's Monday and still nothing in my bank either, I bank with Halifax

Lucy223007 · 03/06/2024 07:25

Hi ya guys I'm in the same boat, I bank with ulsterbank and my CB always goes in at 12.00am my payment has not went in yet either, staring to panick it is due today

wizarddry · 03/06/2024 07:26

Jbalmforth · 03/06/2024 07:14

Well I'm phoning today as mine was due today so I want it just like everyone else who was due today needs to demand it

You aren't going to be able to fix the issue by demanding your money down the phone

Willmafrockfit · 03/06/2024 07:26

anyone searched on twitter?

Lucy223007 · 03/06/2024 07:26

Child benfit not been paid

Willmafrockfit · 03/06/2024 07:26

perhaps it will come on tuesday?
due to bank holiday?

Emrose88 · 03/06/2024 07:27

I'm with metro and mine hasn't gone in, HMRC will be inundated with calls this morning. Everyone will get their money will just have to keep checking

shearwater2 · 03/06/2024 07:27

NatWest have been hacked or is just fucking incomptent. Santander have been hacked. People are right to ask banks and government WTF is going on and demand that their money and data is safe.

Lankietina85 · 03/06/2024 07:28

It's all over twitter or X which ever you want to call it. Been issues all weekend so HMRC commented on one of the posts saying should b in bank by Tuesday but that's no good to people who need this more than ever this morning

Benne11 · 03/06/2024 07:28

Iv just checked as I'm due CB today and nothing has come through ? It usually goes in just after midnight but nothing

It's most likely an error, but I have to admit that the bot like posts on here are making me a bit suspicious. If you're going to hack child benefit, what better way to spread panic than by posting again and again on the UK's biggest parenting site asking if anyone else has experienced the same issue?

LoftyReader · 03/06/2024 07:29

Willmafrockfit · 03/06/2024 07:26

June isnt touched by mays bank holidays, so it should be paid today as there’s also a good chunk of people who have been paid whereas a whole lot of others who haven’t. Definitely some kind of system error HMRC are going to have a rough time Dealing with today unfortunately

One way to cause chaos for sure, I’m sure well never find out if it was though 🙄
