child benefit not paid

hi i normally receive my payments every monday for one child (4yo) i’ve received no letters or anything and had payment as normal last week. Although my payments are on mondays, i receive them saturday due to my bank, but this week it hasn’t come through and it’s not my bank as carers has come through like every other week as normal. No change of address etc and her dad wouldn’t of put a claim in and don’t think i can contact them till monday so stressed at what’s going on

i am in the same position, my online app says the 3rd but still hasn't gone in. Usually goes in on a Saturday. Has yours gone in?

Bank holiday will have no effect on this payment. It was just paid early on the 3rd of May last time due to the 6th being bank holiday. It doesn't change payments after that.

I did think the BH could’ve had something to do with it but have never had this issue in the past so unsure 🤷🏽‍♀️

They are absolute fuckers to pay people late. Bank Holiday my arse, it shouldn't affect these things a week later, it's all automated!

Ah at least I know I’m not the only person having this issue. However it’s now Monday morning and still nothing so they must be having an issue. Looking forward to tying up their phone lines this morning with you all! 😂

Demanding isn’t going to do anything. It’s clearly a system error on HMRC end. Getting snotty with someone on the phone isn’t going to fix the issue. You will just have to wait like everybody else.

Not received my child benefit either. It was due in today like every Monday. I bank with starling and it usually showing as a pending payment over the weekend then drops in my account on Monday morning. I have checked the HMRC app and it states that a payment has bern made but I still have no trace of it. So strange for so many people not to have received this.

If you call your energy supplier and explain there’s a problem with HMRC they should be able to give you an emergency credit loan. Not ideal but hopefully it will help whilst we wait for the payments.

I hope your wise message stopped people panicking !!! Some people rely on this money don’t be so rude you don’t know other peoples situations! MN is really getting bad for judgment

Payment dates don’t change. They have not been changed. Did you even read the information you decided to google?

They always change for bank holidays; it’s paid early if your payment date is a Monday bank holiday. That’s always been the case; it isn’t new. It doesn’t change other than that. Which is exactly what the article says as well, and also what everyone who gets CB already knows. It has nothing to do with everyone not getting their payment today.

Anyone with virgin money and it not gone in

I’ve checked both Monzo and Santander no payment yet HMRC app says last payment was made 3rd June. This is the first time in 6.5yrs that I’ve not received the payment.

Mine has gone in today with starling and was showing as pending yesterday. Very odd but hope it all gets sorted asap x

i haven’t received mine either and mine is due today. i will be ringing them as soon as they open so i’ll update this with what they say

Mine hasn’t gone in either I phoned HMRC Friday because I bank with HSBC and it shows incoming payment

i was told they have issued the payment and it should arrive today

obviously there is an error somewhere and I’m sure they will resolve it.

hope this helps for people panicking and jamming the phone lines just to be told what I was Friday (yes I understand people need the money today)

I'm hoping it gets sorted asap, my car tax came out and took the last bit of money in my account...I understand a system error but wouldn't that have been for everyone? 🤞🏻 they get into the office at 8 and see something is wrong
