Potato is the only one I do and I'm thinking of giving up. I've been doing it a couple of years but it takes me hours and hours to get the minimum so I'm only earning £35 a month and for £2 an hour I think I'm wasting my time. Any advice?

I manage about £400 on it, no shifts just keeping eye on queues and better since I got onto the Rep and Security queues which pay a bit better.

My other self employment has come to and end so it has saved me somewhat. Im on it a lot for that amount.

I'm job hunting now as it's a pathetic hourly rate and taking over my life to earn so little for the hours I put in.

It should only be a nice little top up when you need an income boost, not your regular income.

RiverSkater · 02/01/2023 13:52

I always use Incognito in chrome too as I found fetching more in regular chrome.
I don't know if that has really helped but I feel like it does!

AnotherOne4 · 02/01/2023 14:33

Just tallied up my earnings for December and it came in at just shy of £100.

I still enjoy doing this little side hussle of work, but I've definitely noticed it's getting harder to earn any proper money at it. I've waited all year for a decent Ap job, and I've not had one.

Celeryfavour · 02/01/2023 14:40

@ruralwanderer Thanks, I will look out for shifts but I fear I'd be too slow as I'd never make anywhere near that rate normally!

@RiverSkater I agree about it taking over your life, I find myself shooing away DC so I can concentrate which would be okay if it was a top job but not for so little.

baxtersm · 02/01/2023 17:54

Anyone on here use Qmee and noticed it's been down all day?

TheWhiteDoor · 02/01/2023 21:13

Hi I’ve seen a few people on these threads mention Potato. Does anyone have a link to it? What is it?

have tried Googling but it just gives me
pages and pages about potatoes (the vegetables!)

ruralwanderer · 02/01/2023 21:46

It's Crisp Thinking. The link is in the original post 🙂

My December total is £840 (ish) - all from potato, managed to get some of the double time shifts on Christmas Day, so that helped bump it up this month 😊

TheWhiteDoor · 03/01/2023 21:22

@ruralwanderer thank you

bananamuffin99 · 04/01/2023 13:30

Do you have to apply to get shifts on potato or do they approach you? I'm guessing you have to be pretty quick? Is it much different to the regular moderation? Sorry for the questions! Just thinking if it worth me trying to give it a go?? I don't work set shifts at my full time job though, so that could make things difficult doing the shifts.

It can be both, I was asked but know people who messaged Tracey to ask. They put a shout on slack sometimes too.

I wouldn't worry about being slow. I've worked alongside some absolute snails and seen loads of errors too, and those people have been there years.

I was asked at the beginning of December to sign up for Bespoke which I did but nothing has happened since. I'm going to message to see what happens next.

justalittlebitextra · 06/01/2023 12:27

Anyone not getting anything from Prolific at the moment? I haven't had a survey for a few weeks and am getting a bit worried - I haven't been doing them regularly as I had a lot of other work, but that has now dried up a bit so I wanted to pick Prolific up again, but nothing.

PurpleFrog · 06/01/2023 15:09

@justalittlebitextra I haven't had as many Prolific studies as usual, but have still completed 8 from 23rd December onwards. Remember that many researchers will have been on holiday over the Christmas and New Year period.

justalittlebitextra · 06/01/2023 16:04

@PurpleFrog I've had nothing at all for about 3 weeks I would say - I have the notification widget so even if I don't manage to do any surveys I still know they are available.

I'm concerned now. I can't even cash out as I am just below the £5 minimum cash out at the moment.

PurpleFrog · 06/01/2023 16:12

@justalittlebitextra In that case I would contact them and see if there is an issue with your account. Good luck!

ruralwanderer · 06/01/2023 17:09

I'm getting plenty of prolific notifications but not for anything worthwhile. Have you tried logging out and back in again?

OP posts:
PoseyFlump · 06/01/2023 17:25

I've not been on prolific for ages until today. Probably did over £10 but the studies all seem very related to my 'beliefs' in the personal data section so might be worth checking your 'about you' settings.

justalittlebitextra · 06/01/2023 18:55

I've updated my about you. Checked the FAQs and apparently if my account was on hold it would say so, but I can only check with them if there are any other issues once I've been more than 2 months with surveys, which is a tad annoying.

BobaTea · 06/01/2023 21:47

Has anyone here signed up to Survey Spin? I've just made my first cash out through PayPal. Do they send you a text to your mobile asking you to CONFIRM before releasing payment?

BobaTea · 06/01/2023 21:48

Hi all, I popped on to see if the earn £10 thread was still going, I was on it a while back and nice to see it’s still ticking over. I started here and ended up making a decent monthly amount allowing me to get back on my feet.

Hello! I remember you from the days we were all on things like Nle on Appn. Those were the days! Hope you are well!

RiverSkater · 10/01/2023 01:42

@kpfragglesrock I could do with the Crisp shifts, I wonder if it's about how long you have been doing it/ how quick/ number of errors?

Is it worth asking do you think?

ruralwanderer · 10/01/2023 07:32

@RiverSkater always ask - the worst that will happen is that they say no.
