As soon as I get one of these I go through the skip reasons in the guidelines and see I can get any to fit... if so, I skip and quote the applicable part of the guidelines in the skip reason.

There have been a couple of times though that I've had to go ahead and order even though I know I'm probably going to get tat that will end up in the bin.

StillBreathingjust · 09/11/2022 16:45

Question re Am..r - if the site is clearly a Chinese crap site, do people skip these and if so, what justification do you use? (I'm a regular, just name changed and cba to alter it).

Sorry my above post was a reply to this - quote didn't work for some reason

Geamhradh · 10/11/2022 07:24

@UnicornPaintedOrnament I've noticed recently that some work on Prolific is taking much longer to approve than it used to (maybe before they guaranteed it would be approved within a shorter time frame, I can't remember but it did use to be usually within a couple of days maximum. As pp though, I've never had a problem getting them all approved except one researcher who I ended up complaining about who kept saying she didn't know how to do it.

MarisPiper92 · 10/11/2022 10:26

Hi all, been lurking for a while. Does anyone do Rev/Way With Words? How have you found it? I haven't had much luck with surveys (either full or screened out), and I do some matched betting/casino offers, but increasingly gubbed. Thinking transcription might be good as I'm quite a fast typist.

likeadisgruntledpelican · 10/11/2022 15:16

NC but I wouldn't bother with Search Sciences. They pay 1p a word, and I got fed up with being chased about my 'deadlines' when he was weeks late paying for previous work. When I pointed out that he wanted me to stick to deadlines but couldn't stick to his own payment terms he wasn't happy.

He blocked my account immediately (presumably for insubordination), and within two weeks I discovered there are many sites like his that pay 5-10 times as much per word even after their cut. Don't waste your time with SS.

Buster27 · 10/11/2022 16:24

I'm liking the new ongoing thread Smile
I had an amazing October as I hit a freak £1.1k win doing a casino offer. Sadly it will probably never happen again (mainly because I don't have many accounts left lol) but it was nice after a lot of rubbish months on it.
Not doing much else other than plugging away at Crisp/Prolific/Vinted (and mainly avoiding my Appen project so I'll be booted at some point). I managed to get more Crisp shifts than usual this week so that was nice.

ruralwanderer · 10/11/2022 19:59

@likeadisgruntledpelican please could you PM me some details of the other companies doing this sort of work? I personally really like the S Sci work and even at 1p per word am averaging £10 an hour (which I'm always paid promptly for) so if there's an opportunity to do more of it and earn more, I'd be daft not to pursue it. Thank you! Smile

@Buster27 wow that's awesome, well done you! 👏I've noticed it's been easier to nab the Crisp shifts these last few weeks, I wonder if the numbers have dropped?

@likeadisgruntledpelican I'd like to know about similar companies to SS as well, so perhaps if you do know of some you could post them here?

My background is in writing and research so I was really excited when I found out about SS but it didn't work out for me either. Quite a similar story - didn't get paid and it was surprising how quickly his 'Mr nice guy' act dropped. I would advise caution to others regarding that company as he obviously has money worries.

Featherington · 11/11/2022 08:20

wondering if anyone can help? I’ve been doing the surveys on appen for a couple of months paid into payoneer, but payoneer doesn’t seem to want to let me withdraw from it, is there a minimum withdrawal amount? I’ve got $46 at the moment.

aloysiusflyte · 11/11/2022 08:31

I've just started work on Search Sciences and was feeling quite positive about it (hopefully!) - am I right in thinking that they should pay you a month after you submit your invoice?

I'm also interested in any other companies like this, my background is in copy writing so they suit my life at the moment. Thank you.

ruralwanderer · 11/11/2022 10:30

@Featherington there's a minimum cash out of $50 from Payoneer (after fees so effectively you need at least $53 in there to cash out).

@aloysiusflyte Yes, the payments are for effectively for work completed 2 months prior - so for example, you work all through September, submit your invoice on the 1st October and are paid in the first week of November. Earlier on this year my payments were sometimes coming mid-month but for the last few months they've been earlier than expected which is really nice Smile

Do you do the bespoke shifts? If so, how do you get on to them? I have been working for Potato for over 2 years and they have never been offered to me. Maybe I am not fast enough?

ruralwanderer · 11/11/2022 20:16

Yes, they advertised the opportunity on slack about a year ago and I advertised and got in although actually getting shifts is more down to luck than judgement!

I'm worried about this now....

I completed all my tasks, but couldn't see the job in my ''work history'.
When I search for it, it states 'Work didn't meet Quality Standards'

I spent hours doing this task, if I didn't meet quality standards, they shouldn't let you carry on.

baxtersm · 14/11/2022 19:03

I've just started using Shopmium and it's fab! Check out what cash back offers they have and if you buy them you upload your receipt and you get cash back in your account! You also get a free bag of Malteasers.. use my referral code TE725Q 😊 then you can get money for referring friends too

ruralwanderer · 15/11/2022 09:53

Neevo are a nightmare which is why I stopped working for them. I noticed that at first I was being paid promptly but then the payments stopped coming and when I started chasing they started quoting "Quality issues" at me, even though their system is supposed to stop you if your work isn't up to standard. I was over £50 down when I gave up. The same happened to a lot of other members so they were removed from the recommended list at the start of this thread.

Me too. Bit annoyed now. I’d done about 400 tasks, let’s see if i get any pay.

SlurpSlooChortle · 15/11/2022 10:54

I had an email from Neevo but noticed in the price per task it said "0.00 per task" so the email error made me nervous and I didn't even click the link.
Their recent email format looks very spammy and fake compared to how they used to be.
