@ruralwanderer Thank you for the welcome! Very kind ☺️

I'm not a big earner like some of you. I only do Intellizoom and Prolific soy extra once really is a trickle and fluctuates between £0 and £20 a week (£20 would be a good week though).

Recently I'm waking up to loads of notifications about Intellizoom surveys, but when I click on they've all expired, and they don't seem to clear from my homepage, so it's stil telling me there are 22 available surveys for me. It's very irritating; don't know if anyone else is experiencing this.

PurpleFrog · 10/06/2023 14:56

@Cravingsweets I have also had the recent problem of Intellizoom surveys hanging around after they have expired, or I have already attempted them. It is really annoying, but I only end up with 2 or 3 unusable surveys, not 22! ( It is still impossible for me to remember which ones I have already tried.) I wish you could make them disappear by marking them as "not interested" as you can do in Prolific.

Talking about Prolific, tomorrow is the anniversary of my first study in Prolific. In that time I have made £914.11 and have £4.14 waiting for approval. Thanks to the regulars on this thread for maintaining the links section and answering my initial questions. I have done some really interesting studies and like how I can just put in the time and effort when it is convenient for me.

DeegeeDee · 10/06/2023 15:39

Yep, also had that problem @Cravingsweets , very annoying. Especially when it's a card sort and I think, can do that no sweat only to find its expired. Going to have a look at my anniversary date for Prolific now....

I'm having the Intellizoom issues as well and it's very frustrating. I've just wasted 15 minutes trying to work my way through the list of 22 studies on my home page and given up after 7 tries as I've either been screened out, or they've expired.

sorrynotathome · 14/06/2023 08:43

I'm not getting any Intellizoom at all!! After a bumper crop in April it has slowed to almost nothing - only managed 3 studies in May and one so far in June. :(

justalittlebitextra · 14/06/2023 10:58

I think I'm going to have to finally jump ship from Appen - just had notification that I'm going to be charged a $30 annual fee from Payoneer (plus the usual $3 monthly fee). I just can't justify paying that annual fee when there is next to no work and some months I'm not even making that.

kpfragglesrock · 14/06/2023 12:50

Have the potato statements been sent yet? I've been kicked off so don't have access to slack anymore.

melonraspberry · 14/06/2023 15:10

Yes I got mine today. I’ve also resigned as a freelancer . Just have prolific now.

I was accused of being involved with a twitter account that's been slagging off potato Shock

Ooohhhhh. Did you? 😁

JeminaPudd · 14/06/2023 16:42

@kpfragglesrock WTAF? How could they accuse you of that? did you slag them off on Twitter?

JeminaPudd · 14/06/2023 16:44

Yes I got mine today. I’ve also resigned as a freelancer . Just have prolific now.

Why did you resign just out of interest?

kpfragglesrock · 14/06/2023 16:53

Absolutely nothing to do with me, although I did search twitter and found the account. Smile

JeminaPudd · 14/06/2023 16:59

@kpfragglesrock well unless you were based in HQ I don't know how they could see you searched it, and it's absolutely shit they've accused you.

I hope you denied it rather than just resigning.

melonraspberry · 14/06/2023 18:01

JeminaPudd · 14/06/2023 16:44

Why did you resign just out of interest?

Because there’s no content anymore and it’s not worth the time.

I hope you denied it rather than just resigning.

I only searched it after I'd been accused.
When they accused me, I denied it and said I felt like packing it all in but didn't resign. Next thing I've been booted off and they took that to be my resignation.
I've asked for an SAR because I want to know on what grounds I was accused.
Nothing will come of it but it makes more work for them Smile

kpfragglesrock · 14/06/2023 18:04

I've started doing surveys on AttaPoll and I've earned more doing that than I was earning on potato.

Download the app here: attapoll.app/join/hvfta

JeminaPudd · 14/06/2023 18:18

@kpfragglesrock I'm sorry that happened, I left a few months ago as I found the work environment to be the most toxic I've ever experienced. I'm amazed someone hasn't whistleblown before.

The SAR is a good idea, if I were you I'd be like a dog with a bone and wouldn't let it go.

Maybe someone else on here can shed light on the Twitter thing?

Keep us posted with the SAR. If you've been there long enough might be worth talking to an employment solicitor too, freelance or not. I don't think they can throw accusations around without evidence.

Did they offer any?

They haven't got any evidence because there isn't any. It will be interesting to see what the SAR comes back with.
I do have a main job, potato was just a side hustle for a bit extra pocket money.
It's just not been worth it recently so I'm definitely not missing it 😂

That's interesting - I did Attapoll for a while but got very frustrated because the surveys could take ages and you ended up with about 10p. And some took about 50 questions before screening me out. Perhaps I'll try again.. :)

Hi there, just recently started doing surveys etc after reading this thread, and I wondered, has anyone had issues with Toluna? I was getting on fine with the surveys and then suddenly my account disappeared - I contacted them and they said they'd suspended it because of "persistent inconsistencies". I have absolutely no idea what went wrong, I answered the surveys honestly.

I had that with a previous incarnation of Toluna - Valued Opinions I think it was called. They may not have been an incarnation, but they did a lot of their surveys which made me think they were linked in some way. My account was put on hold for 'inconsistencies' with no comeback - conveniently for them just as I was nearing the minimum £10 payout.
