ruralwanderer · 01/07/2022 08:02

I can't believe we're already more than halfway through the year. I hope those of you that are established £10 a Day-ers are still doing well, keeping motivated and chasing the £££s. Welcome to all the newbies - hopefully these threads will help you as much as they've helped me and many others.

For the newbies - I'd recommend grabbing a cup of tea and reading back through the previous threads before you sign up for anything. Most of your questions will have already been answered and you'll hit the ground running if you've already got an idea what this is all about.

Here are the links that are recommended for getting started.

@TheCatIsBack and @rainbowzebra05 , I personally really like the search sciences work and find it interesting and profitable. Others on previous threads haven't been keen. My advice is to apply, try it and see how it fits for you. Good luck 😊

rainbowzebra05 · 03/07/2022 14:12

@ruralwanderer thank you! I've started the application a few times and it scares me that I'm potentially answering wrong so won't get chosen! Have others found it relatively easy to be accepted?

I didn't get along with crisp when I was accepted there but know others love it so totally get the preference side of it all!

@rainbowzebra05 you can't really get it wrong as it just wants to know what you can do - just be honest Smile

Does anyone use a chrome book for Appen or transcription type work? Thinking of purchasing one but not sure if it would be sufficient for this type of work.

Forpoxsake · 03/07/2022 18:02

Hi, new to this, I did read a thread about 2 years ago where life points panel was recommended but got a bit fed up with the 50 emails a day they’d send!
don’t have much spare time in evening but a an hour or 2 when the DC go to bed.

Q….do you use a dedicated email address for your surveys etc?

Pyaar · 03/07/2022 22:46

I've done really well with Prolific since starting and I'm thanking my lucky stars for that as I've hardly made anything with any of the other sites I signed up to. I was lucky I signed up with oroldi

Pyaar · 03/07/2022 22:48

Posted too soon*
With Prolific a few years ago as I see they have a wait list now. Not surprised..

I had an £84 survey last week which felt more like an exam and took ages, was interesting though!

justalittlebitextra · 04/07/2022 07:35

@Forpoxsake I do - I set up a separate email for all my survey work and I’m really glad I have as it keeps all the crap I get sent separate.

ShadowsShadowsShadows · 04/07/2022 10:09

Hi, I'm quietly joining in. I linked through the last 2 threads and have now been accepted onto a few Ap projects so thought I should delurk. Finding it very difficult to get through the academy for one of them, but will persevere.

I've just finished my degree and now have an MA to do from Sept with very little student loan so every penny I can earn on here will be a lifesaver. I've been looking for work but wjth 2 school aged DCs and a uni timetable to fit round I've struggled to find anything that will accommodate all my awkward available hours so this seems like the best option.

Have just signed up to the survey bees thing so that's a nice little extra drip drip jnto the pot. PayPal randomly gave me £5 when I logged on for the first time in ages recently which might be worth looking into if you've not used your account in a while.

I've signed up to search sciences but am on their waiting list. I used to run a small craft business and Etsy shop so I'm looking into getting that back up and running again too.

Hello does anyone on Appen know with Payoneer know what happens when you eventually get an invoice that's over the $5 min payment?
I have two previous invoices that didn't pay due to being below $5 but this month's is $14...will they add them on together?
Thanks for any help

stillherenow · 04/07/2022 18:09

Yes they add them on. I don't think I'll ever get the money I have on payoneer I seem to have even dropped off the appen surveys now !

TheCatIsBack · 04/07/2022 18:20

Does anyone know when the Appen invoice needs to be submitted by? Also who can I contact if I think my invoice is wrong?

justalittlebitextra · 04/07/2022 19:29

@TheCatIsBack Wednesday, July 6th at 4 pm PST I think for the Appen Invoice. I've always raised a ticket with the project team about incorrect invoices as it's usually missing time, but submitted by the deadline anyway and hoped it gets corrected before payment, or sorted out on the next invoice.

Tobermoraythistle · 05/07/2022 09:09

Thanks for this thread.I have been trying out lots of survey sites and think I will stick with qmee and streetbees,I have applied to App*n and have had a look at Prolific. There are so many more sites, ideas and opportunities than I would have ever found on my own,so thanks again for this thread and the people that post ideas on it x

Frenchdoors1 · 05/07/2022 09:41

@TheCatIsBack @justalittlebitextra just to let you know the invoices have been updated on Ap.
It's 12 months since I was last on a big project like this so very happy.

StopDontTalkToMe · 05/07/2022 11:51

Stupid question about Ap.. do you track your time for the auto generated invoices? I have only been doing it 2 months but just submit the time they say I have worked, I didn’t track it separately

I have started to as this month the project I am on have had auto generation issues with invoices and I am currently on about half the number of tasks that I actually did.

I do as well - just to check against my invoice. I also keep an eye on the chat group for each project and if other people are having issues with time recorded I'll keep a closer eye on it.

ruralwanderer · 05/07/2022 21:01

I time record everything I do to earn money so barn always compare my invoices against my app to make sure there are no discrepancies before I submit.

Can any Search Sci people advise when the payment run is usually done, please?

rhij86 · 06/07/2022 10:22

Hi all! Jumping back in after a few months away - are there any good Ap projects I should apply for?

usernotfound0000 · 06/07/2022 12:39

I know I'll be stating the obvious to most on here - but anyone like me who has completely ignored cashback sites, get yourself signed up! I needed to make a purchase over £100 and checked on a whim and can get 10.5% cash back on it. And then looked at all my favourite shops that are listed! So annoyed with myself when I think how much I could have saved!

GachaBread · 06/07/2022 13:28

Talking of cash back sites does anyone know if you can still get cash back if you pay with clearpay, klarna etc for goods
