Hi all, happy May. Welcome to this months thread. I'll load up the link later. If anyone else wants to do it, feel free, I'm rubbish at it.

The idea of this thread is to earn a bit of extra cash, as the title suggest. Have a look and these threads go back a while and might give you some ideas.

Newbies welcome. We're a lovely, helpful lot.

I also applied to the New* job as I was on the other one too. I got an email saying I'm on it so we'll see. I noticed that they have finally started removing those applications that have been pending for months and months, cue me frantically re-applying. Grin

Ahh there's nowt on SD. I'm hoping for a bit more work this evening so I can boost my pay but I won't be making the 20 hours. I'm not that bothered but if the project was slightly better organised (i.e. had work available) I would love for it to continue as it's one of the more pleasant ones I've worked. I have learnt so much! Haha.

@YonderTweek, I have enjoyed this project too. I find it interesting and often get carried away reading all the wiki articles and forget that I actually have 60 seconds. Lol! It makes you realise how much stuff yu don't know and all the places I have never heard of and now want to visit! Smile

I just can't seem to stay alert in the evenings, I go all fuzzy headed and then wake up tired the next morning - I'm weak!!
Just finished doing an hour and a half of captioning and a survey on Prolific. About £6 worth - hopefully I'll get quicker!! Now I have to go and collect little one. Time goes by really quick ...

Totally agree with this, isn't it amazing how much is out there in the world that we don't know about! Loved this project for that reason alone, will be really bummed if this is the end.

Ive got onto the speech one and continue with n**n and another short one. They aren't big earners but have been doing those for weeks now. Also passed qualification for LB so looking to start that one shortly.

@Frenchdoors1, I applied for Pent too.

@MrsWombat, I've not been asked to take the qualification yet. If I go to options and view learning centre, it just takes me back to the main project page. There is no option to do the quiz.

I've just remembered they asked me to do a quiz (unpaid) which apparently didn't affect place on the project. I completed it at the beginning of the week but not heard anything at all since

That sounds like the one. I've just been accepted so I wouldn't have got the email. Glad to know it's not a pass or fail. @Catatemyhomework It's on the qualification quiz tab if you wanted to have a go.

You should be able to see Work This, not options. Maybe send them a ticket if you've received a congratulations email?

I've started to have some tasks for Appen Cres. It's very similar to the UHRS tasks on Clickworker, and equally as bonkers and low paid. Something else on the list of things to check daily.

Anyone else had a an invite to the digital pen handwriting one on App? Thought looked interesting but I don't actually have the kit 😂.
Just had a look and I've got a congrats email from Newh*n 🤷‍♀️ and it looks like o might be on the speech rating thing as well. Hope it doesn't come through over the weekend because I've got an absolutely fascinating transcription to finish, I don't normally do anything in Friday night but I might make an exception for this one!

@Heyha I did Phase 1 of the handwriting one Fortunately I had the right tablet, a stylus and I'm left handed Think the stars were aligned that dayWink Not sure if I've been selected for the main task yet though, if it's based on how legible your writing is I won't stand a chance!

Hi @HarrietHairbrush. They are mainly Appen tasks. If you're registered with them, you can apply for these. Hope that helps.
