Hi all, happy May. Welcome to this months thread. I'll load up the link later. If anyone else wants to do it, feel free, I'm rubbish at it.

The idea of this thread is to earn a bit of extra cash, as the title suggest. Have a look and these threads go back a while and might give you some ideas.

Newbies welcome. We're a lovely, helpful lot.

Oops and yes submission of the invoice is on first day of the next month

I'm going to have to offload my toddler onto my mum for a few hours a day so I can do some work. Such a demanding little madam...and I'm just too knackered post 8pm to sit at the computer at night.

@Norked My 4yo is doing my head in when I'm trying to work. He either watches too much TV or I give in and go and play with him. To be fair, I mostly spend my days playing but then I get the evening panic when I have to cram 3-4 hours of work in after 8-9pm and it's daunting. Luckily it's nursery day tomorrow so hopefully there will be some work for me to do!

@swiftt how did you work out your average RPH?

I agree with others about Potato. I've been with them for 18 months and last month I only earned just over £1 !! Everytime I logged on there was no work and I am not just sitting there anymore when they are taking on new people. I've never been mentioned for shifts either.

@AnotherOne4 I just set the metrics back to the beginning of the month then divided the total number of jobs by my invoiced hours.

If we were doing it too quick, I'd like to think Ap would be in touch and give us a telling off.

Urgh, this project has so many unkowns. Are we too quick? Will we get paid?

Slow your pace right down now, and that should bring the number down a bit.

Ooh will there/ won't there be work tonight? Seems evenings are better doesn't it. I wonder whether they're staggering jobs against markets to keep some platform stability! I love all this guess work I try and do ha ha

I hope there is work tonight. If I can do a good chunk, I'll meet the 20 hours tonight

@AnotherOne4 It's gone quiet again now. I'm almost at 17hrs. Remembered to count from Sat, instead of when I first started.

Who is it that's on Rev? Is it worth it?

Evening ladies, quick question. I’ve been on A*n for about 6 months and mainly working FB news surveys. My last invoice ( April) has been approved but not paid. Is this a reason for concern? I’ve emailed them to enquire. Thanks

@seizethecuttlefish probably me - I do the bulk of my work on Rev at the moment! I think it’s worth it and it’s super flexible in that you can just pick and choose files to work on when you like, rather than being assigned them or needing to do shifts etc. Pay is a bit crap to begin with, but you get access to much better paid files quite quickly and as it’s an American based site they seem to price ‘difficult’ accents like British ones much higher, which works out great for me. Pay is weekly on a Monday and really reliable, too!

I feel like I’m on commission for them - I’m not! I just really enjoy it and wish I’d started it ages ago. The work has also been really steady since I started, I’ve never seen there be zero work and there’s usually a good amount of files to choose from.

SD isn't looking so good this morning. Not had a single job yet

On another note, did anyone apply for the new Nw@@*n job? I've just been accepted on it.

Been sat here just over an hour on SD, and not a sausage. Not a single one Wish I'd stayed in bed for an extra hour lol

AnotherOne4, that's a shame. I have 4 hours to go to my 20. Stayed up until gone midnight last night but got too tired. Looks like I'll be submitting 16 hours. I wonder if the project is finished?
Is the invitation for New**n a new project? I'm on the existing one but have also had that invitation. Thought it was a duplicate.

I've just had an auto email about New*, can't say as I recall re-applying! And a Napo yesterday but last few times I've gone to do that it's not had any 'work' on it. I think I got onto the auto-speech one that came through the other day but will have to see.

I've got 20 weeks to boost my maternity pot so I think I might have to branch out a bit...

@Catatemyhomework is seems like it’s a different job to the other one. I’m not sure though. I applied as I thought ‘why not’ lol
