Hi all, happy May. Welcome to this months thread. I'll load up the link later. If anyone else wants to do it, feel free, I'm rubbish at it.

The idea of this thread is to earn a bit of extra cash, as the title suggest. Have a look and these threads go back a while and might give you some ideas.

Newbies welcome. We're a lovely, helpful lot.

I would also like to know about bes on potato. I was on the other night when they were struggling for people to help over there and I was thinking "pick me pick me". I wonder what you have to do/when they will consider you.

Hi, I'm joining in. Just having a read and signing up. Tried prolific first and I've been rejected I'm not off to a good start!

I got invited randomly to bespoke shifts. They said they had done a quality assessment of my recent work. A friend applied when they opened it up to applications on the slack. They did a QA of her work and rejected her

I think the reason they aren't recruiting is that there aren't enough shifts to go round in the week but then they obviously struggle at weekends. Hopefully they will recruit soon and some of you lovely ones can get in on it. Have to say it's all I do now as I can't make decent money on ppi at the moment.

Managed 7 hours and 40 mins on S’d today. Well chuffed as it eases the work load for the week.

How did everyone else get on?

Thank-you Unfortunately it’s a rare occurrence, I won’t be able to manage that every day. Someone in chat earlier was saying they did 12 hours

@AnotherOne4, that is brilliant. I have only managed 2 today. Would love to do more, just find weekends are over so quick and difficult with the kids and everything. Hoping to do 4 hours every day next week Mon-Fri. If I can do 5 I will and least qualify for one of the bonuses.

@AnotherOne4 Well done, that's impressive I did about 4 hours but find it a bit boring so tend to watch the chat and read guidelines and ethnic lists and click on links to keep it interesting This made my RPH drop to about 40% so I then had to put in an hour at top speed to try and bring it back up 😆

I've managed 6 hours 20 today but my eyes feel like they're crossing now! Just hoping the metrics catch up and reflect it accurately! Well done all for plugging away, it's quite interesting to do in that I'm reading about places and things I'd otherwise be unaware of :)

@AnotherOne4 Yes, sorry, I’m on both sites and can see the jobs list but at the moment the only job is finding out revenue and numbers of employees.

@kneesknocking probably being daft, but how do you work out your RPH?

You get invited on to bespoke shifts by one of the top managers. They don't recruit often. It pays £10 per hour.

Moaning on slack won't get you shifts so don't try that

Oh well guess I will have to hope I get invited one day!

Just wondered when they could not seem to get enough people for bespoke over the weekend.

It's so slow at the moment it's painful. I am doing some every day but my amounts are pitiful

I don’t think I’ll be invited to bespoke, I’ve got a couple strikes and I don’t think I’m quick enough. I’ve never seen anything to apply, just some complaining when the shifts were reduced?
What is involved in bespoke? Is it different work?

@swiftt I followed the instructions that someone gave on the S**and chat You need to go into user metrics and adjust some of the settings on the drop downs Look back at the chat and it explains it

Those of you who do LB maps, do you know if the minimum is 20 hrs a week? I'm hoping it's less as will struggle with that right now. Just had the all clear to start. I know the maximum is 20 but wasn't sure about minimum. Also, on the time sheet it says you record per task and are paid per task, but it also says that you need to do your hours, so if I am slow to start which I will be, I may only do 3 tasks an hour. Just not sure how this will work.

@Catatemyhomework it’s minimum 10 hours. You just have to do the minimum hours not a set number of tasks. If you do them slowly your hourly rate will be low as it is paid per task but you don’t get penalised for that otherwise. You can get told off for going too fast but that’s probably not going to be an issue to start with!

@Tinging, thank you for your reply. That is reassurring. I haven't started yet but just had email to say I'm good to go. I am terrified!! I will start tonight I think as still doing Suth* on Appen today. Will try an hour tonight.

Potato is painful at the moment. I don't think there's a hope of me ever getting into bespoke. It would be lovely but hey ho. I've been doing it for ages and in my head I had a year to get on bespoke but I've never been asked or seen it on slack. My year marker has long passed.

No regular work at the moment so on track for a very quiet month. I have a record 37 outstanding processes on App

I'm actually making more on Prolific than potato at the moment!

I've submitted my invoice for me freelance stuff. That'll ease next month.

@AnotherOne4 it’s been soooo crap today. I do wonder if it’s tailing off. I managed about 4 hours today, but had planned to do a lot more if the work was there! Rev was so quiet too, probably as it’s Mother’s Day in the US.

Suth* has been more off than on all day - infuriating

@swiftt and @CocoPrivileges well this sounds annoying. I had my evening planned around this, lol
