The idea of this thread is to earn a bit of extra cash, as the title suggest. Have a look and these threads go back a while and might give you some ideas.

Hey potato peelers! Morning to y'all. I've been on it since late last year and getting into my stride now. Is there a particular time of the day that there is more content or does it really just vary day to day. I'm finding late afternoon and evening is better but I prefer to crack on in the morning, typical!

Anybody else been invited to do the qualification exam for By**m? Wondering if it's going to be long and involved

@3dogsnorth, I tend to log on while the kids are eating breakfast at about 6:15am and it flows pretty well til 7am then starts to lag.

I tried it @kneesknocking. There were more questions than it said. I failed and it gives you no idea if you got one correct or almost all. I haven’t retried.

It did! I'm still a bit cross eyed. I did manage a quick 30 min nap at around 6am though so it's not all bad. My little boy was snoozing away in our bed and I just had to join him for a minute, because cuteness.

@swiftt I think you just submit the invoice as usual at the end of the month and they'll let you know if it's rejected or not. It's ages away though! Argh.

I've been invited to do a pilot, bit like S**land but I no jobs are showing in the ADAP, haven't done so since I created it. Apparently this job should be showing in there. Anyone else having this issue?

Hi again! Managed to get complete my purchases on Sh###### / Am** and have uploaded my receipts with the reimbursement form. Is there any way to check that the reimbursement forms have been saved correctly? When I pressed the Save button the forms disappeared and there was no confirmation page.

Welcome @chloeb8. I’d suggest reading the whole thread from beginning to end, even go back and find older threads. Read read read!!! Then words become familiar and you can begin to dip your toes in.

Prolific and Qmee are good starters.

@chloeb8 I spent ages reading through old threads, and started off with some of the survey sites like QMEE and Prolific. I mostly do Rev at the moment. It’s online transcription, so you’re typing audio files whilst following their style guide for how things should be captured and formatted. Some of the files are much better paying than others, I don’t really take any that are less than 60p per audio minute. It’s flexible so you can pick up as many or as little files as you like, you don’t have to commit to hours or shifts. Takes a wee while to get through their training, but I’m finding it really worthwhile.

@TheresALight unfortunately not. I just make sure I have the correct numbers of tasks completed. They are good at getting back to you though.

I’m running a bit dry in prolific after a good few days and I’m struggling to get on with Appen.

I’m having some time off over summer so want to increase my productivity and cash.

@superpinkgirl you need to do 800 minutes and have your metrics over a certain level to get into Plus. This is when you have access to much better paid files. It took me about a week and I was doing a couple of files a day. Just watch out for grades as their grading queue is seriously backed up, so if you storm on without having any grades back, and then end up with any bad grades, it could really impact your metrics and potentially have your account closed.

I'm having the same issue, had the invite and nothing is showing for me either. Not sure if I should respond to the email invite telling them this or raise a ticket? Some parts of Appen seem to be very confusing

@swiftt Thank you for the info, I have only just started but am quite enjoying it so far.

@superpinkgirl no worries. The forum over there is really useful too. I only started last month and was a bit miffed at the pay to begin with, but it’s definitely worthwhile once you hit Plus and have access to much better files and rates.

@seizethecuttlefish Thanks for answering. When you say check the number tasks do you mean on your invoice?
The web page that I uploaded the receipts onto says 1 task completed, and I have no idea if that relates to what I've done today (3 uploads) or if it's something leftover from a task I did months ago, I can't click onto it to see any details! Not a fan of this project so far!
