Just managed to peel enough potatoes for Sunday lunch. Phew.
Wasn’t sure I would this month. I’ve been a bit slack with everything but feel like I’ve got back into things.

Does anyone do work with Utest? I signed up a while ago and just received an email saying I've qualified for my first project. The pay looks good, too.

I haven't taken a course at the Academy yet... but will obviously need to as the project looks full on.

Does anyone else do Utest and would you recommend sticking with it?

I've given up on Appen I find them annoying, all the different projects and rates. I like Crisp, you just log on, do the work, get paid. It's a nice easy system to use and plenty of help if you need it. Only downside is it's a bit boring but I can live with that.

@WizardOfAus I'm on uTest. Definitely worth sticking with. The better projects come as you get more experienced. The ones that involve payment testing like gambling website sign-ups, and user experience pay well too. Any problems reach out in the project chat and someone will help. Also go through the academy stuff.

The projects all sound interesting & there is potential to learn new skills. Just have to get through the initial reading and courses!

Has anyone submitted their App invoice for Am-- yet?

The piece rate is only x1 and should be x2. They've not answered my ticket yet but I know invoices are due in today.

Are the invoices due in today? I always thought they'll appear around this time and then you have until like the 5th working day to submit. Not sure though because the news section has disappeared from the main page. I was going to give it another couple of days but I'm not sure now.

I finally got access to Po**k. I'm not sure if it's worth my time. I spent like two hours studying the guidelines and started the first batch and it is so confusing. I'm assuming I won't get paid for the test batch and will be booted out if my work isn't up to their standards, and I'm not feeling overly optimistic about it all...

It's the 4th this month for Appen.

Although, in the announcement I'm reading, it says both 3rd Feb and 4th Feb in different places

My Am** rates are still showing at 1 piece rate per item rather than two and I've raised a ticket as well. I'm going to leave it as late as possible to submit my invoice to give them a chance to resolve it.

As a newbie to the thread I just want to ask how on earth do you get into the UHRS mindset? I thought I was doing OK on one app but got blocked (69%). Then I got blocked on another (87%) which I definitely thought I was doing OK on :(
I have started Prolific - wishing more would come up on here - very interesting.
I have applied to Rev Captioning - I really enjoyed the test but I don't expect I will pass - has anyone had any luck here?
How are other newbies getting on?
