Hi everyone. Welcome to the new thread.

Here are some links - none of them are referral links :)

Making my mark for this month , not made much to report back on hopefully this month will do well

lilmishap · 01/12/2020 20:30

@Gatekeeper yes what was odd is that I wasn't able to read the guidelines because they never appeared.

seizethecuttlefish · 01/12/2020 20:34

@Gatekeeper I can't even get the guidelines to open so you're one up on me!

OP posts:
Gatekeeper · 01/12/2020 20:34

Mine appeared out of the blue but still didnt help!!! I was rather confused by the end of 50 questions so probably just as well I didnt pass

tinkywinkyshandbag · 01/12/2020 21:17

Dies anyone know how to deactivate your Appen account? I don't want to do any work for them but they keep emailing me. Thanks!

whysotriggered · 01/12/2020 21:23

@gatekeeper, I have emailed them about the quiz, as my links for the posts don't work and don't wanna just guess!

Buster27 · 01/12/2020 21:40

I didn't think I did much this month but after adding up it's over £800 so I'm happy with that :) n* is keeping me ticking over in quiet spells which helps. Mostly from appen and potato for me this month.

Happy to see my piece rate for am** is right so assume the reimbursement will go ok now.

And on a happy note I've done most of my Christmas shopping all paid for from earnings thanks to this thread Smile which is great since I'm on stat maternity pay.

abouquetofsharpenedpencils · 01/12/2020 21:50

I’m new to all this but would love to start as my working hours have been cut due to covid. I also got the strange link for appen so googled it and have started the application process. They ask you to upload your CV. Is this normal? Not sure if it is the right website. Any help much appreciated!

seizethecuttlefish · 01/12/2020 22:20

Welcome. Loads of newbies. Yay! Sorry my links are a bit pants. I'll try and sort them when I'm at my laptop tomorrow.
Connect.appen.com should get you there and you click apply. Yes, you need a CV. But I don't know what they do with the info. I bodged one up a while ago when I applied and then ages later realised it was full of errors.

WotsitWiggle · 01/12/2020 23:05

I've submitted my Appen invoice for A**r, waiting to find out if I'm on the December one and fingers crossed the reimbursements go through. Everything was tat, but I'd like to do more!

Everything else was so quiet, I've deregistered from all the survey sites now, just didn't feel worth it and I kept missing anything chunky.

Does anyone know of proof-reading or editing work? I did a test for someone (utest? usertesting?) that was writing but the work was surveys.

MrsWombat · 02/12/2020 05:55

connect.appen.com/qrp/core/register This is Appen. They do need to see a CV, but it doesn't need to be amazing. They just want to see you are a real person.

www.crispthinking.com/survey/risk-analyst This is the link for Crisp Thinking.

www.utest.com/ uTest.

^^ All my favourite earners.

margaritasbythesea · 02/12/2020 07:12

Happy December thread everyone. Thanks Otterses.

I'd fallen off these threads as I am not doing much. Around £40 from Appen for me this month. I don't think I will do a great deal this month either but I miss the chat about opportunities. Smile

OhioOhioOhio · 02/12/2020 07:44

This seems too good to be true.

rhij86 · 02/12/2020 08:06

Morning all!
I did my crisp test last night. Worried I have ballsed it up. Any idea how long it will take to hear back?

I've got a few one of tasks on appen too, so hopefully aiming to get them done over the next few days.

My aim this month is just to earn something Grin starting small haha

Frenchdoors1 · 02/12/2020 08:46

@rhij86
Dont worry, from what I have read on here over the months everyone says the same thing and they always pass.
I've only just sent off my signature and ID so haven't got to that stage yet.
Good luck anyway

NCforsafety · 02/12/2020 08:49

Morning all

A*R raters - my piece rate was on my invoice yesterday correctly but was still waiting for another project to upload hours and now this am A*R piece rate has gone! Anyway else got this issue?

rhij86 · 02/12/2020 09:07

@Frenchdoors1 good luck! They were quite quick with sending me training links once I sent signatures etc off

whysotriggered · 02/12/2020 09:09

@NCforsafety yes it's gone for me

Frenchdoors1 · 02/12/2020 09:14

@rhij86 Thanks!

I'll see how I get on with it, there seems a lot to get my head around to do the actual work!

whysotriggered · 02/12/2020 09:16

To all new crispers, are you just reading the standard guidelines to prepare the test? I am sure that's what email said but I keep getting notifications from people who are clearly reading everything. I am beginning to panic that I should be doing the same.

Frenchdoors1 · 02/12/2020 09:24

@whysotriggered I'm not at that stage yet, I only sent off my signature and ID last night so I can't advise you on that, sorry.

Redcrayons · 02/12/2020 09:36

Marking my place.

YonderTweek · 02/12/2020 09:40

My piece rate has disappeared as well on A##r but lots of people had it. One of the veterans in the chat just said that this has happened before and that it has always appeared on the invoice again. I'm still waiting on a few queries but I think I've done ok this month despite worrying that it would be my worst month yet.

rhij86 · 02/12/2020 09:48

@whysotriggered I just read the bits they told me to, I'll read the rest as and when I can (assuming I pass)

whysotriggered · 02/12/2020 09:51

@rhij86 I think I am going to have to do that too as there is already quite a bit to get through and I have limited time
