Has anyone had a new task from Neevo listening to audio and correcting it? It seems so complicated! I just took the test and failed, not sure whether to bother trying to do it

seizethecuttlefish · 30/07/2020 16:02

@margaritasbythesea I don't even know what Bar is. Must have missed that one. Hmm

Carrotgirl87 · 30/07/2020 16:56

Hey @bubbles519 I started it last night and got a random payment of about $3 from it today and an email saying the pay is going up.. I'm just seeing how it goes as my first crack with Neevo

lynsey91 · 30/07/2020 17:21

I just passed the test for Neevo correcting the audio. I am going to give it a go but if a lot of them need correcting it's too much work and I will stop.

WonderTweek · 30/07/2020 17:29

I can't even see anything called Ba*r. Or am I missing something? Confused

lynsey91 · 30/07/2020 17:35

I have just done 10 of the Neevo correction ones and they all needed correcting and most of them quite a bit.

I don't think it's worth it. I know the pay rate is higher than normal but they are taking quite a while keep listening to what is being said and then having to type it (and I am a pretty fast typist)

Carrotgirl87 · 30/07/2020 17:51

@lynsey91 think Iv got through about 120 so far just dipping in and out, but the bonus £5 at 500 is tempting. I think il just do it until I get bored and hope for the best

margaritasbythesea · 30/07/2020 19:33

Ba*r was a while ago.

Horehound · 30/07/2020 21:36

Yeh I'm doing it too although I have had it in my work list for a week I think. I've only done around 40 though and he's, some are crazy like full sentences missed out. Numbers written as numbers not words etc.

They only upped it 2p! I thought "no wonder no one's doing it"! They need it all done by tomorrow I think?

seizethecuttlefish · 30/07/2020 22:08

Anyone else getting an error logging into Appen?

Horehound · 30/07/2020 23:42

Jeez got invited to a new job on Neevo and couldn't pass the qualification test!

It was the tagging of entities for voice commands. The instructions are not very clear Confused or maybe I'm just stupid but I thought I had done it right!

WonderTweek · 31/07/2020 00:19

@Horehound Same! I thought I kind of got the hang of it but failed anyway. D'oh!

Baby89 · 31/07/2020 07:52

I got a study I took part in on prolific rejected. I put all the effort in to complete it was 75% done and the screen froze so I submitted with no code but sent researcher a message to say technical issues. They gave me £1 bonus when I explained to them what happened and a red reject. It’s my first month with them. Anyone else get rejection - did it affect the number of surveys you get?

Horehound · 31/07/2020 08:02

@WonderTweek yeh me too. Ho hum. It means they haven't explained it properly.

@Baby89 no sorry, what a bummer.
I actually got about a tenner worth of surveys on prolific which I was happy about because I'm not going any low pay Neevo ones right now

Carrotgirl87 · 31/07/2020 08:23

Yep I too failed the new neevo one. Hardly surprising since I had no idea what I was doing! Made no sense!

wildnightswildnights · 31/07/2020 08:24

I couldn't pass the qualification test for that entity tagging either @Horehound I really dont understand what I was doing wrong!

The audio correction is a massive slog for little pay. To test it, I sat down for an hour and worked solidly, I only managed to around 35 tasks which is less than £4 an hour, and that's if they paid for every task which I bet they won't! Some of it is really ambiguous and you just have to guess. It's a mug's game.

Baby89 · 31/07/2020 08:32

I sorted it - the researcher returned my study when I explained to them the effect the reject might have on my profile and that it was a technical issue I couldn’t get around - not going to bother with the Neevo one

WildSkitty · 31/07/2020 09:17

Why is this work so all or nothing? I've got about 10 jobs on my neevo dashboard at the moment but I've got the kids here so can't do much. I bet that when they are with their Dad next week I will have no jobs!

WonderTweek · 31/07/2020 09:29

I knew I jinxed it! I'm running out of stuff to do now that they have closed a lot of the Neevo jobs. 😅 I usually have a few things on UHRS as well but it keeps saying my account is disabled, which is a bit annoying. It has happened before and always fixed itself but I could do with something to do as my child is in nursery and I have a bit of spare time. Although I suppose I could venture outside because it's a lovely sunny day...

@Baby89 Glad you got it sorted. Prolific is one of my favourites. 😊

Baby89 · 31/07/2020 09:33

@WonderTweek, thanks- is UHRS click worker and is it worth doing - also is Neevo usually busy?

GachaBread · 31/07/2020 09:41

I do not think a reject effects anything on prolific for you. I have loads of rejects. I lose concentration quite a lot when the kids are around being pests lol Yesterday I missed around 10 surveys because they went too fast, I did nab a £7.50 one but I know that will reject because again I could not concentrate on it. Kids have an inbuilt radar for when mum pulls out the laptop and it sets them off. I still have made about £20 from them this month but it could have been more. You have nothing to worry about apart from nabbing the surveys in the first place @Baby89 People are on it hard and you need to be quick.

WonderTweek · 31/07/2020 09:45

@Baby89 Yeah it's a part of CW I think, you access it through CW anyway. I'm still quite new to it but have done various little tasks there. They generally haven't been super highly paid but there's been lots of stuff to do so it all adds up - I check it a few times a day to see if there's anything going and have quite enjoyed the tasks.

I've been on Neevo for just over a month I think, and I've always had something to do. This is the first time since I started when I haven't really got much to do, but I'm hoping more stuff will come up soon.

Horehound · 31/07/2020 09:49

Oh well, I am glad I'm not the only one who didn't manage it then. I figured out if they said tag "x, y and z" that there was a specific box for all those together however say x and y had the same items and it didn't allow items to be tagged by two things so 🤷and then search keywords...I would have imagined that would have been "at Tesco" or "gas station" but no it was just things like "many" or something. I still don't know and it's annoyed me.

I'm not too much of a fan of UHRS either because Alot of the time you judge something and they say oh you judged this as sexual content when I didn't! Their systems are mismatched like they don't realise the questions come up in a random order rather than the order they think it's going to come up.

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 31/07/2020 10:53

I have started using 'unintelligible' quite a lot when I can't get what they're saying. It's just not worth thinking about for ages if you don't have a sudden moment of clarity.

I failed the most recent Neevo one too.

Most jobs still showing as active aren't - even the long-term and recent transcription one seems to have run out tasks.

SpockPaperScissorsLizardRock · 31/07/2020 10:55

@WonderTweek I get the account disabled thing quite often. If all else fails clearing you cache should sort it.
