@Baby89 It felt like forever but it was actually just under 6 weeks. I have only been able to do one one off job, but it does mean my account has been activated which feels like progress. @WonderTweek, thanks for replying. I applied a month ago and like you I applied for everything so hoping to here some good news soon. I’m just worried that I applied for the wrong thing - Appen projects is that the one. I see sim*ns and bail is that the same as the projects you saw.

@Baby89 Hmm, I can't see those on mine, but I don't really know how it works for people. I was wondering if people with different profiles get offered different projects? Maybe someone else has more knowledge on this?

Thank you for the Headspace link, Wonder Tweek. I really like it but can't afford it since I lost my main form of income in April. Lovely to have it back.

@Azerothi,can I ask what the transcription involves , is it doable when you have young kids and is the pay good. Thanks

Transcription is listening to audio and typing what is said. There are guidelines and rules to adhere to. The pay isn't great until you get good and would be difficult with very young kids. I earn most of my money with Appen as I work a lot of hours with them and my other job but keep 'my hand in' transcription in case of dry spells.

I've just been trying to sign up with Appen. Lots of "email and password don't match" errors. Finally got in and completed the Welcome task. Then went to try and sign up for projects, that was all going fine but required a new password - the only job there was linguistic & not my skills. Now I can't get back into Micro! Losing the will to live...

FYI - Appen apparently suffered a data breach in June. Might be an idea to change your password.

@margaritasbythesea I think I sat the exam when I first started but failed it. I've reapplied but haven't been invited to the exam. Though I've looked through the learning centre.

Lionbridge question. Anyone worked for them? Is the rate similar to A? A friend is thinking of applying and I thought I'd ask here for him. He's just been made redundant so looking at everything. I've never worked for them. I spectacularly failed the exam for something last year lol.
